posted a message on Diablo III: Wrath - Behind the Scenes of the Animated Short
an animation short? im probably one of the only ones whose completely disapointed with the 100% unlock. i was expecting something along the lines of the items page of the game guide would be updated, or a cinematic preview, or a bestiary tab on the website, or a gear preview page where you could see what different pieces of gear look like on characters. something along thongs lines.

but an animated short film? not even cgi? bleh

posted a message on Good lord the Wizard's voice acting in the reveal vid is bad
eh im not sold on it, but thats the direction blizzard wanted for her. she's suppost to be young, arrogant, and cocky. does the voice acting match that? yea. does it sound good? no. eh who cares.

maybe there will be an option to shut the characters up. im sure hearing it over the years will get annoying.

also i wanted to note that i LOVE the backstory blizzard created for the wizard. out of the 5 classes i think by far hers is the best. even the short story (wether it is actual blizzard lore or just a off-branch story) amazed me. she is just such a badass.

posted a message on Legendary/Set Items
sets better not be orange. changing 'uniques' (gold) to 'legendaries' (orange) im fine with but sets should be a green item in the diablo universe.

posted a message on skipping cutscenes
play through it solo and watch the cinematics, or play multiplayer and have them skipped.

you could play multiplayer, then go BACK and play solo when youre overgeared so power through it, to watch the cinematics

posted a message on Without Ladder Resets, D3 Replayability is Doomed.

its already going to suffer with a level cap, no skill trees/non-swappable skills, no user stat-distibutioin, and no individual MF runs. dont get me wrong, i love diablo and i bought the CE of d3 and i will love it. but the replayability will be NOTHING that of diablo 2

Why? D2 had skill trees and manual stat distribution but there was only one "right" way to distribute these points. You think that's good replayability?

im not saying using diablo2's stat system. using something for user-distrubted points that each has an actual benefit worth putting points in. survivability, damage, maybe a MF/GF stat.... i dont have it all mapped out, but have something that allows the user to pick which direction he wants to make his character.

as for skill trees, i was refering to different types of builds. a sorceress maybe you wanted each of the 3 tress, fire, cold, and lightning. so you had to make and level 3 different sorceresses.

with the current system you only ever have to make ONE wizard with no need to ever make another. when you get top-notch gear, hit level 60, the only thing left is pvp. in d2 you could always make another character and experiment with fun builds, you could hunt for lvl 99, you could MF.... there was almost always something you could do. i dont see diablo 3 having the same replayability

posted a message on After Open Beta: List The Classes
Now that we've all had a taste of the game via the open beta, has anyones opinions changed on any of the classes? Like a class a little more? Not liking one as much as you thought? List the classes from best to worst in your opinion!

    1. Demon Hunter
    2. Monk
    3. Barbarian
    4. Wizard
    5. Witch Doctor

Pretty much exactly as I thought it would be for me. The demon hunter was pure gold. The monk was great until the SK when it just seemed to take awhile to kill him. Barbarian was great for trash mobs when they would explode and everything would die, but again the SK seemed to go down a little harder. Wizard felt underpowered to me (resource starved), guess im the only one who felt that way. Witch Doctor I didnt even try because the class doesnt appeal to me, not even in the slightest.

posted a message on legendary Item Stats
i'd like to see the legendary/stat item stats posted.... maybe not the stats, but just have all of the legendaries posted on battle.nets website so we can see all the cool graphics they have come up with. though ill be honest, the stats would be nice too. dont see how it would spoil anything, we know the general outline for stats

posted a message on Open Beta: Wizard feels..... Underpowered?
Is it just me or does the wizard seem pretty underpowered? granted its beta, 1/4th of act 1 and you didnt get any good gear, but compared to the other characters the wizard felt..... lacking. 3 arcane orbs and youre out of arcane power and forced to use signature spells which really dont do that much damage, and also dont work well in large packs. Say when youre against a tomb guardian and hes summoning more skeles. If youre initial spells dont clear a straight path to the tomb guardian, you might be in a longer fight than you bargained for. Hell, in a full game a full Ray of Frost wasnt enough to kill a single normal harvester.

i know the resource is suppost to be small and regen fast but it just didnt play well for the beta. maybe itwas my setup, i dont know. just really felt like most of the time i was spamming magic missile

posted a message on Witch Doctor Spotlight is Up.
the one class ill probably never play. i played the open beta pretty heavily. got a demon hunter to 13, monk to 13, barbarian to 12, wizard to 11, did a bit of crafting, SK run after SK run. but not once did i even CLICK the witch doctor in the character selection screen. he just seems so awful....
