That's not consensual.
Like I said if you like it cool, if not cool, but it wasn't consensual.
I know, i know technically it isnt. I'm just saying its more consensual than D1 and I felt it was consensual enough. It was always easy enough to join a new game, or just stay away from them. The acts werent exactly small. I cant ever recall a hostile player actually finding me when I just ignored them. -

Is that bad? That depends on people's opinions.
Anyway usually when they add arenas or another "formal" aspect to PvP they end up limiting how freely you can PvP.
I guess we'll see though.
You had to declare hostility, which was an improvement over D1 where it wasn't unusual for someone to die even in accidental crossfires.
They declare hostility, you stay away. Seemed consensual enough to me. -

It was consensual enough in D2 i felt.Quote from "Daemaro" »I get the impression when he says "formal support" for PvP it's going to mean more PvP aspects but limiting it to where it's consensual in some form.
A PvP option at game creation or something. That's what it sounds like to me at least.
I took it to mean more like there'd be arena's or something for more formalized pvp-competition if so desired. -
Aug 7, 2008avanent posted a message on Diablo 3 Art Director ResignsPosted in: NewsQuote from "oli25" »He will join a halfway done project and won't have any idea what is "diablo feeling". There will be no time for him to play old diablo games to cath that feeling. Also no time for changing art direction so half game will feel completly different even if he will try to create it similiar.
this implies it currently has diablo feeling. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

No matter how fancy the loot looks or acts, if theres no substance to the game... the game is just an epeen contest.

Diablo 2 did change a few things, like getting rid of the spellbooks and such, but the game still looked and felt very much like diablo
I'm not feeling it anymore, I'm not seeing it anymore...

Im just hoping theyll get some sense back.
Your opinion vs mine. Tying to discredit someones opinion isnt appreciated by anyone. You'd like me to get over what blizzard's been doing with their titles I once so enjoyed, id like you to get over the fact not everyone thinks what you think.

gold being worthless in d2 was a screw up, not a feature. You think blizz meant to do that?
I did more potion spamming in d1 actually...

not really, just alot of people want a diablo 3 thats true to the series. Theres a difference.

fable 3 looking great so far :3 (im hoping i can make my dog fat! )
Thats a pretty amusing interview actually...
"I forgot what we were answering..."
"I forgot what I asked..."
lol
"The art is the backdrop, the animation is the personality - and the story on top is the reason that you're there." More companies should take this to heart.

I play an mmorpg, it just doesnt happen to be wow. I dont mind mmorpgs, but diablo isnt an mmorpg. If you turn d3 into an mmorpg, guess what comes with... monthly fees, as well as a whole slew of other mmorpg traits. (and considering WoW is bliz's only mmorpg, guess what alot of those mmorpg traits would look like).

Its not an mmorpg, and with what they did to WoW from warcraft, that may be the only saving grace D3 has from being completely wow-ized.

agreed! Exactly what I think about TP scrolls, and well, pretty much everything theyve removed or changed.
Couldnt disagree more.

theyve been doing that for a while now. Im ready for a true diablo sequel instead of this continual screwing around.

wait, what? really?
I cant believe they got rid of town portal...
is this for real? really real?
can we start sacrificing devs yet?
