That's not consensual.
Like I said if you like it cool, if not cool, but it wasn't consensual.
I know, i know technically it isnt. I'm just saying its more consensual than D1 and I felt it was consensual enough. It was always easy enough to join a new game, or just stay away from them. The acts werent exactly small. I cant ever recall a hostile player actually finding me when I just ignored them. -

Is that bad? That depends on people's opinions.
Anyway usually when they add arenas or another "formal" aspect to PvP they end up limiting how freely you can PvP.
I guess we'll see though.
You had to declare hostility, which was an improvement over D1 where it wasn't unusual for someone to die even in accidental crossfires.
They declare hostility, you stay away. Seemed consensual enough to me. -

It was consensual enough in D2 i felt.Quote from "Daemaro" »I get the impression when he says "formal support" for PvP it's going to mean more PvP aspects but limiting it to where it's consensual in some form.
A PvP option at game creation or something. That's what it sounds like to me at least.
I took it to mean more like there'd be arena's or something for more formalized pvp-competition if so desired. -
Aug 7, 2008avanent posted a message on Diablo 3 Art Director ResignsPosted in: NewsQuote from "oli25" »He will join a halfway done project and won't have any idea what is "diablo feeling". There will be no time for him to play old diablo games to cath that feeling. Also no time for changing art direction so half game will feel completly different even if he will try to create it similiar.
this implies it currently has diablo feeling. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

the auto stat-assigning is lame though. Wasnt the diablo series like the first big mainstream games that allowed you to assign them yourself?
but the starcraft news is truly disappointing. The money of wow has truly made them greedy. There will be lots of piracy attempts if they decide to retain this policy.

Its hypocritical to get angry because someone posted their opinion while your doing the exact same thing.

Is it bad in how it was implemented in D2, yes.
They just need to make it much less mana-friendly, and maybe make it a little slower on cool down, and itd probably be fine.

Looking at the rest of the post, it is pretty diplomatic.
Due to a sudden medical issue in the family at 6 am yesterday, I'm a bit stressed and tired; I guess a bit overly touchy too.
Sorry ><

Is that what I said?
Cause im pretty sure that I said thats never what games have been about to me.
And did I even say that about the game they are working on?
No, I talked about diablo as a series, and games, in general.
And Cause the d3 team is the d1 and d2 team too, right?
And diablo 2 had no plot... or an improved quest system, or fmvs, or a large focus on skills, or a big focus on have varied locations... ya, it was all about items the whole time, and clearly im an idiot for not choosing to like the previous games for that alone. right?

Ther remind of of wolverines personally. You know, those furry things that you dont wanna pet. With a richer color coat.
Its a legitimate claim. No acid needed.
I wish they resembled theyre original icky emancipated origins, but oh well. At least they dont seem to glow in the dark.

Loved the d1 scavengers, glad to see them back. although, they seem to have grown a fluffy coat :?
concept art looks pretty savage, as usual.

I think everyone knows my opinion of wow
starcraft ghost made me sad too, although I guess you could say it didnt release that, but thats the part that disappointed me.

Ya... that made me cringe. As I didnt find d2 to be 'all about the loot' but did feel wow was that way. Which was part of why I didnt like it. There was alot of dev into loot in d2, but it never seemed the main focus to me.
