Boat combat: maybe, depends how they implement it.
Shallow water: yes.
I agree, If the boat combat was implemented properly would probably be pretty cool, shallow water would be awesome to see. As for swimming, i would have to go with no as well.
I think special skills should not be given, even if they balanced them it would just make all classes have the same special skills and would not be interesting or cool at all imo.
Some types of beige are very similiar to some types of gold, so yeah, its a matter of graphics quality.
How do you come to that conclusion?
The colors of the drops in the trailer are controversial.

I meant Magic, it was a mistype.. if magics were "violet" in d2 and now there are purple items in d3.. it was just a thought, i was not saying "hey guys guess what! the new purple items are the new magic items!!1!1" i was simply asking what you guys thought.
There should be an official "Flame Argument: Art Direction" thread that won't be touched by mods whatsoever. If this were made then all the flame would go to one thread leaving more forum space for POSITIVE comments/ideas
I actually agree, I would avoid that thread but it would probably keep all the art threads to a minimum
What about if when the armors durability gets too certain points would it look worn / heavily used in battle? or if the armor or weapon broke instead of it disappearing you would have it like broken in half or some pieces of the armor still holding on. Not saying they should implement this it was just a thought!
Yeah i noticed that too talked about it in a thread before not sure which one, I personally hope they keep it how Imperious was described in the novel.
Those look to be the same angels and I too think it is Imperius, Process of elimination has brought me to believe this or another new angel that has never been introduced. Just makes sense they would use Imperious over some random new angel imo.
Personally, Art Direction is the least of issues if any in Diablo 3. I will rather have them focus on gameplay, trading, itemization, boss events, stash and stuff that helps move items from alt-character to alt-character smoothly than mere art direction.
Art direction takes a helluva time -- which translates in game development going beyond 2011. No thanks. Shove the petition.
