Agreed, I bet D3 will greatly surpass our expectations about the diablo series in a positive way. Lets not forget all the changes blizzard did from D1 to D2, its evolution and gameplay was a HUGE part of diablo.
I do. Its one of the things that made Diablo great. You didn't feel like someone's errand boy. I don't want to collect vegetables for some local farmer or pick up talbuck shit. If you want an assload of quests thats what WoW is about. Diablo is about doing quality quests, not quantity.
That is not what i meant by more side quests at all, I think that two or three more quests per act that have to do with the storyline would be great. Especially so to make sure another act 4 does not happen ( not saying it was bad ) it just felt to me like act 4 could have had a lot more done to it.
That is exactly why I wish art threads were just against the rules for now. Let things settle down for a month or so, and the trolls will leave (not calling anyone specific a troll).
I have seen trolls on both sides of the argument though. People who just come in to stir up trouble and have nothing to really contribute at ALL to a discussion.

Neither of those are new statements, we have all heard them before and neither are a option anyone that liked Diablo wants to pursue.
I realize a temporary ban on art discussion would put the mods into overtime though. It seems like it's hard enough to manage things as it is without having to lock every art thread.
I'm just tired of the fighting all together.
Yes I think D3 resembles WoW some. No I don't think its TOO colorful. Blizzard just wants to attract more players, and it will work. Sure it will scare a few away but that's going to happen no matter HOW they make the game, the number may vary but people are going to be angry.
That's just my opinion though and others are free to express theirs of course. It's just tiring seeing the same one line arguments over and over out of spite.
Yes i agree, I personally think that anymore threads about the art should be locked until we see more of the game. Its at the point where everybody keeps going over the same things and nothing new is coming up
Yes its not like i am disagreeing that it has color, It clearly does. Its just not enough to bother me, I would not mind if they toned down the color a bit but not dramatically.
I don't play WoW and I like Diablo 3, You cannot paint the picture that everyone defending D3 is doing it simply because they play WoW. There are people who like it and others that don't, plain and simple.
Personally, Art Direction is the least of issues if any in Diablo 3. I will rather have them focus on gameplay, trading, itemization, boss events, stash and stuff that helps move items from alt-character to alt-character smoothly than mere art direction.
Art direction takes a helluva time -- which translates in game development going beyond 2011. No thanks. Shove the petition.
