posted a message on Secret Cow Level To Return in Diablo 3
Lol, really? That's great. As long as they revamp it like they say they weill, bravo.
I just hope it doesn't spawn more cow rushing and looting, and crap like that.

By the way if you read the interview you'll notice they're not positive if the Cow Level will return.

We don’t really know at this point. I really like the idea of secret stuff that ‘Diablo II’ put forward, but it’s not the kind of thing we would decide this early. But if we have something, I can assure people will be happy with it.

posted a message on should they make level retstraints?
I never used em' so.. lol. If some high level joined my game and murdered the quests I'd just make a new game..
It's not really useful but it's a nice addition I guess. They're probably have it in D3.

It'd just like to share what Veltras shared earlier.

Stop it, we all know that D3 is going to come out on June 29th 2009 (you know DiabloI 12th birthday 1 + 2 = 3 it's just too perfect ;))

Wow hey your right, that's very interesting and very, very possible. xD
D2 and LOD both came out on June 29th, LOD exactly one year after D2.
    And Diablo came out in 1997, making 2009 it's 12th Birthday! 1 + 2 = 3! Diablo 3!
D3 was announced June 28th.. well that's close enough.

But wow that's amazing. It's a great guess that Diablo 3's coming out June 29th 2009. xD

The words ..fans may as well settle in for a healthy wait.. and ..the game is nowhere near finished.. were scary.
Oh well. I'm positive now this won't be coming until 2010 or late 2009.

Awesome, I'd love to see the new army you can muster with the guy.

But are they implying they'll release an expansion shortly after D3 comes out?
I guess it's not a bad thing, it's just LOD came out about year after D2. :3

posted a message on Will There Be New Stats?
Besides Strength, Dexterity, Vitality and Energy.. will they add or even give an axe to one of the original stats? Or what if the stats had more variety in bonuses and how they affect players, making the choice where to improve stats that much harder and distinct.

posted a message on Cinematic Demon is infact Diablo
I just have a gut feeling they wouldn't make Diablo so obvious.
I mean the idea of Diablo just coming back like that is so mainstream; The return of diablo.

It's 50/50 for me. I'm thinking somewhere along the game they'll be a flashback of Diablo,
which means the Diablo were seeing here doesn't actually exist in the current time line. Just a thought.

posted a message on Should D3 Have "Achievements"?
Awesome, even though this idea obviously came from the 360.
As long as the achievements are varied and unique, it's all good.

I'm sure this'll add more playability and gives fans a lot more to do online.

posted a message on And the hipe slowly dies....
    I'm hoping we'll see D3 in 2009, worst case early 2010.
Maybe Blizzard will surprise everyone and release it even earlier.

I quote from wiki; Most of the game mechanics and physics are complete and undergoing minor revisions. Most of the current and remaining development will focus on adding game content.
That and the fact that they've been working on it for three years now, going on four soon.

I don't mind playing D3 for the first time online. Besides the other players that some people may or may not lke, there's no difference in terms of lore or content. But if your talking about SC2 or WC single players, then that's a whole different ball game. You can't really compare those kinds of single player because Diablo's storyline was completely available online, whereas SC's and I'm sure WC's online didn't have any kind of storyline in them. I actually dislike playing Diablo on single player cause' it's too quiet and solitary, I want to enjoy the first experience with a group of buds.

I don't think it'll be too hard to avoid those mainstream games where everyones just doing their thing, especially since games probably won't hold more then 4-5 people. Just make some friends and stick with them. My 5.1 speakers and 24" monitor are all I'll really need to enjoy my first play through D3.

posted a message on Diablo 3 Multiplayer To Be Encouraged
I remember first buying the game years ago, they had already had a lot of emphasis to play online on the box. They had the whole book-like cover thing going on that showed more info inside, that was cool. Besides all that advertising on the box how about..

    1) Players are given free items if they register a B.net account. Maybe a special weapon with a time duration or low durability that isn't necessarily strong, but has unique properties like the use of another classes skill or something.

    2) A demo for an upcoming Bliz game that is only playable after registering for B.net.

    3) A 30-day trial to have an expanded inventory. For example I hear the Barbarian had greyed out slots in his inventory meaning he couldn't carry as much.

    4) Exclusive interviews, behind the scenes, artwork, bloopers, any kind of special features only available somehow after registering for B.net. Maybe instead of just registering, you have to play online for a certain time. Nah, I guess that's too harsh.

when an enemy dies a critical death it actually drenches your hero in blood if you're within proximity of the spray. It's awesome.

posted a message on D3 Online Insight
With WoW, we have different realms, with small communities of players. With D3 were not going to regulate people into those realm concepts like we did. It's going to be much more global. Within any earth region, like north america, you'll be able to play with any player there. You don't have to plan what realm they'll be on and then transfer your character or anything like that. So I think the biggest problem you see in WoW as of things like matchmaking is just player populations, because everyone is kind of segregated off onto one realm of like two or three hundred different realms for whatever region your in. So just imagine if all those players were in one place and you can match against any of them. So that's probably the biggest thing that we've learned from WoW and we've kind of already learned this lesson from WC3 which I think has a great matchmaking system. So I think WC3 is a better example of what you might expect in D3 then WoW would be.

    ~

This is old news from Rob Pardo, executive producer of D3. I think he gives a lot of insight into how D3 will function online, at least in terms of players. I was wondering maybe you guys could draw out some conclusions from what he's said so far. Obviously they'll be way more content in D3 compared to D2, right? Probably way more places to explorer, etc. I'm guessing a single room will only support one continent or even half a continent (judging by the current world map) which will probably be massive on it's own. With them only supporting a handful of players per game, I can't see why they'd make every place in D3 available in one room. This makes me wonder if they'll have the option to change and choose different rooms while in a room, just a thought.
