posted a message on Fifth Class Brainstorm
How about a Bounty Hunter? Or Swashbuckler. But honestly I'm sure everyone's noticed the new characters have those small similarities to the D2 classes. The wizard is obvious, witch doctor goes with the necromancer.. maybe even some druidness, and the monk I find replaces the paladin, perhaps with some assassin-ness, no?

It's as if the new characters retain a similar nature from their respective predecessors, does that make sense? With this said I think the fifth class will be someone who will fill in the void of the Amazon, because none of the four classes have any similarity with her. So if I'm right and they follow that trend, I guess the question is who would have the nature of an Amazon? xD

Or maybe they'll make a brand new character, shit I dunno lol. *goes insane*

It was announced that D3 will have class specific quests that tells us a story about our class background, giving then more personality.

Imo we should really have cinematics for each character showing the part he plays in the story. Due every class have both genres i think this is now impossible.
We will problably have D2's like cinematics.

Yea I wonder how much we'll be able to dig into the background of out characters, I really wanna know more about the guy I'm playing as. I remember Blizzard saying they'll be scattered tomes, scrolls, etc that'll share some history or background. They even said it'll play similarly to BioShock's tapes, which in my opinion doesn't sound very promising. I hope they darken the screen and incorporate some kind of slide show artwork to draw the person in. Take this for example (one of my favorite games) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mq9N9ddsKg8.

I was thinking wouldn't it be cool if they had class specific cinematics, or even gender specific. I wonder if it would be too costly. What about multiple endings, not to the point that you'll have different conclusions but just enough to express the characters individuality. Maybe the witch doctor will use a cr?me de la cr?me of curses to end things while the Barbarian will have a much more personal and brutal fashion, something like that. Even if they're not endings maybe that can have them in some form, maybe something that'll shed some background on them. Unlockables perhaps?

PS: Whatta think of playing D3 with... a glove ! xD

posted a message on B.net Will Be Free
Uuermm, probably easy to find news but over at http://starcraft.incgamers.com/ they just announced that a Blizzard CEO has stated that there will be no additional fee for Battle.net. I remember seeing people saying you might have to pay but this must solidify that you don't, no? They also mention a possibility of a subscription for additional content, what kind of stuff I dunno. But maybe in Diablo's case things like respec and renaming.

posted a message on Blizzcast 8 is out!
The funny thing is I never played WoW so I'm not going to notice all of the resemblance, rofl. But I'm sure the team will try their best to make it as diabloy as possible. But so far the artwork on the weapons and armor, in my opinion, look really "light" for diablo. Yet this is work in progress so it will change drastically overtime.

And damn there aren't too many slots avaliable for items! I know they said that as you level up more will become available.. but. Ah well then again there's the stash, lol. I wonder how that will work out. And what the heck is a talisman? Is that like a second amulet.. or a quest item? O_O

    NO DEMON CHARACTERS!

A former knight guard though, without being a demon, would be neat.

Really? You wouldn't like the idea of a character who's race is demon? What about any other race besides human? Of course I mean something that'll be similar to a human and not something crazy like a dwarf. Like say a half angel with glowing eyes or a half demon with redish pigmentation and little spikes on his face, perhaps there's something else in the lore that's untouched? xD

posted a message on Weapon Icons
Now that the icons of items and weapons are much smaller then compared to D2, I was wondering how could they improve upon this. I swear that in some update from the past it was mentioned that they wanted to improve this in particular, to put more of an emphasis on the design so that it will stand out.. or they could simply try and make it larger than it currently is.

I don't know, judging by what they have right now they look and feel insignificant. I'm fine with the inventory and equip slots but damn are the icons and design are small when you hover over them. It wouldn't hurt to make them bigger would it? It's not like it'll distract you since no one checks their inventory and fights at the same time. Maybe they can add some animation to it as well, like if it's enchanted by fire, ice, etc. Or how about having a little button for a mini biography of the weapon, for legendary items of course.

    What do you think? O_O

posted a message on Question About Drops
    Quote from "Havoc485" »
Im almost 100% sure that what they meant by "players see and pick up their own loot," is that as long as your partied no matter who gets the kill you will always get the corresponding loot. yes this includes bosses and mini bosses. so dont worry.

Blizzard wouldn't make a game with the object of kill stealing.

Aahh ok, cause when they said that I was worried you wouldn't get your own loot from other people's kills. They would seriously hinder the amount of drops one would receive.

posted a message on Question About Drops
I was just watching the gameplay debut again and it got me wondering about a few things. Ok so far each player sees their own loot, right, but what about other players' kills? I doubt there would be any drops for you from kills that aren't you own, but maybe there is? And does this include bosses and mini bosses? If so that would mean whoever got the last hit would get the loot, which would be bad. Perhaps bosses/mini bosses are an exception for mutiple loots for each player.

And it's the same question for chests, I'm sure they won't limit those kind of drops to one person.

March 31st is Starcrafts 11th anniversary. xD
Hopefully the beta will be out by then.

PS: By the way I just have a gut feeling that D3 will probably come out in 2010 and not 2011.

posted a message on Monsters Special Attacks
You know I was thinking about this lately, what if D3 had plenty of monsters that had a lot of "special attacks". Meaning that these attacks would be much more visual than normal ones or they would simply affect the player in a unique way that would make teamwork necessary. And that's the main focus on D3 isn't it? Cooperative play.

For example as a visual move how about certain monsters being able to throw the player for extra damage or to isolate him from the group, perhaps even occasionally being thrown off a cliff.. which would up the fear factor. Or how about grabbing a player and choking him to death under a certain amount of time until someone strikes and frees him. Another one comes directly from Left 4 Dead where a monster can vomit blood or something onto a player, forcing monsters to spawn or come out of the ground to mass attack that player. What about being infected with a parasite that causes you to be crippled, I could go on and on with idea's for these "special attacks".

I've seen a little bit of these in the D3 demo where the goat mage (whatever he is) freezes two players with ice making them vulnerable. And another famous one where the mini boss grabs a player and bites his head off. I just want to see a lot more of that but on a smaller scale and with more strategy and teamwork involved.
