Let me know how those Mortar/Fast/Waller/Invulnerable Minions/etc treat ya with that. ;D Or better yet, Belial. His fight(just him) is easy, but the snakes before hand are almost imposisble to get with this change. Traps don't work well enough, not enough room to kite, they follow you when you smoke screen, Entangling Shot doesn't work well enough, etc. :\ Now I'm stuck and no feasible amount of vitality can help.

We know its for sure not 70% OF the initial hit. First off, you can see the damage going up in game, rather than down. And secondly, the tooltip says it increases the damage of the arrow BY 70% for each pierce. So the question is whether its multiplicative or additive. If multipilicative, than Devouring Arrow does a TON more damage, but if additive, it does a tiny bit less than Puncturing. And yeah, I figured my math wasn't super accurate like a summation would be, but I thought it would paint a general picture of how much damage each rune does over a period of time that everyone can understand.

So let's assume we test these 2 shots by firing 100 shots total. For the sake of the test, each shot gets the right amount of pierces.
Puncturing Arrow
100 shots hit for 115%=11500%
50 come back and hit again for 115%=5750%
25=2875%
12=1438%
6=719%
3=359%
1=180%
Total weapon damage done=22821% weapon damage
Devouring Arrow(Multiplicative)
100 for 115%=11500%
35 for 195.5%=6843%
12 for 332.4%=3988%
4 for 564.9%=2260%
1 for 960.5%=960.5%
Total weapon damage done=25551% weapon damage
Devouring Arrow(Additive)
100 for 115%=11500%
35 for 185%=6475%
12 for 255%=3060%
4 for 325%=1300%
1 for 395%=395%
Total weapon damage done=22730% weapon damage
So if this is all correct(which I hope it is), then Devouring(mult) is the most powerful by quite a bit. However, if the 70% is additive, then it and Puncturing are almost the same with damage done.

I use 2 builds for Inferno(Act 2 right now). I know its not ideal because of Neph Valor, but it works very well.
Questing/AoE Build(http://us.battle.net...YdXV!YTe!aZZbZc)
-Hungering Arrow+Puncturing Arrow(50% pierce)[btw, did the math and this > 70% inc damage on pierces]
-Elemental Arrow+Frost Arrow
-Caltrops+ Torturous Ground
-Vault+Tumble
-Smoke Screen+Lingering Fog
-Preperation+Backup Plan
Boss/Single Target Build(http://us.battle.net...TdXV!YTe!aYZbZc)
-Hungering Arrow+Puncturing Arrow
-Cluster Arrow+Cluster Bomb
-Companion+Bat Companion
-Vault+Tumble
-Smoke Screen+Lingering Fog
-Preperation+Backup Plan
I love my AoE build because of the Frost snare and chill AND shatters bodies(no rezzing, etc). Caltrops is pretty essential as well for kiting rares/champions. For bosses, Cluster Arrow+CLuster Bomb does a ridiculous amount of damage. Like upwards of 60k per shot if all the bombs hit(which they usually do). Bat helps with hatred regen which is essential for Cluster Arrow. Then Smoke Screen+Prep w/ Backup Plan is just....essential. Everyone should use these! xD Anyway, hope yall like this. :3
Note: The AoE build works well against every boss I went up against except maybe Butcher. I only got to test it with a group on Butcher, not solo yet. I eventually tried the single target build when my Valor fell off and one of the members left. It worked well. I'll have to test AoE build for Butcher and let yall know!

Arcane Hydra- AoE arcane balls that explode, 28% weapon damage done to each enemy
Frost Hydra- AoE frontal cold cone, slows, 32% weapon damage done to each enemy
Brimstone Hydra- AoE fire wall, 18% weapon damage a second to each enemy
Lightning Hydra- Single target lightning damage, 41% weapon damage done
Poison Hydra- AoE poison pool, 23% weapon damage a second to each enemy
As you can see, 4 of 6 are AoE. 2 of the AoE keep creating stationary damage areas, covering lots of area. The other 2 shoot projectile AoE. THe last 2 are single target, one being an upgrade of the other. I see nothing wrong here.

I would agree with this(based on what info we have). While it is a beta, it doesnt seem like the typical beta Blizzard runs. Then again, they did state they want the game to be a surprise and that the beta is for testing purposes more so than anything.
