At least we don't have to worry people trying to find out how to cheat like now.. there has been many many other ways than just tppk to exploit the system.Quote from "lights_warrior" »Oh my fucking god......
No more player enabled pvp? WHY? All they have to fix is fucking tppk for god's sake.
This is total bullshit.
There goes half the fun from the game after beating pva 100 times.
Only? There has been many and it took a long time to fix them.. timeout hacks etc. Even maphack is a exploit to pvp.. you hostile someone and know just about exaclty where your target is. And whatabout these farcasts etc..You are dumb.
This means that you can't hostile other people. So in order to pk we will probably have to create special games(arena kind of games) for pvp only. Which is gay.
This is wrong, all they needed to do was add a timer to stop tppk, which is the only real exploit in d2's pvp system.
I don't miss the pk option at all.. no one has succeeded to kill me in legit ways so I don't really care.. it wasn't anymore exciting to play when you got hostiled.. just watched the map a bit and went town if someone happened to find you. -
Aug 26, 2008akse posted a message on Leipzig 2008: inDiablo talks to Jay Wilson about death and tradeThere was a MUD I played where if you died you were sent to nether world, where you had to sense/find your souls, good and evil part of them. When you merged with them your exp loss was cut down severly and you were sent back to the world.Posted in: News
I think this type of approach could be nice for softcore, you either spend some time finding the souls or lose a lot more exp. The nether world could also be visually entertaining.. you could find some old heroes lost souls there etc. -
Aug 22, 2008akse posted a message on 2008 Leipzig: Diablo 3 Bosses Dynamic ExplainedYeah felt kinda stupid to fight the lord of terror the allmighty diablo.. while having the battle to save the world you say to diablo "wait a sec I go town to get some more potions"Posted in: News
about same thing was BVB in 1.09 when there was huge life leech on every barb and in hc duels where people used potions too it was almost endless duels sometimes and eventually the potions ended and some were chicken enough to not continue because they ran out of pots .P
I love this new way of things that probably make the possible threat, botting harder. -
Aug 21, 2008akse posted a message on Diablofans - WWI Card Tyrael Pet ContestBattlenet and game channels:Posted in: News
To have a more unite feeling with the game world and the other players the old battle.net channel system needs an improvement. In diablo2 we have Trade channels, class channels and so on.
In the lore section at d3 website Caldeum used to be a great trade city, so howabout in diablo3 you can join a Trade Game instead of a channel. This game would be only for trading in a trade city. As you said d3 could support way more than 8 players per game so maybe these trade games could hold up to 20 players at a time. If you are planning some sort of auction house, maybe it would be operated from the trade cities. This would make the trading easier. No need to search for someone in the channels for trade and no need to create a game for that. This would also require access to your account stash(hope we will have it) in the trade city so you can easily show off what you are offering.
Same kind of idea could be used for PVP game and perhaps for a guild hall if there will be a guild system.
Trading completely via chat would of course be the fastest and easiest way, but as many D2 players have stated, they like the social interaction that comes from the trading in game.
Quest idea:
If I remember correctly you said you had ideas of repeatable and random quests that would appear in every game. This is a great idea and now I suggest a type of quest that could fit to one of these.
Depending on your character level and what difficulty levels you have already beaten you would be offered a quest in some of the towns. This quest would be "Save The City/Town", which objective is to clear out some or all (maybe 90% of monsters, not den of evil v.2 "one monster remaining") the areas near the town or the Act(if we gonna have acts). The idea is to encourage people to clear out bigger areas rather than just 1 or 2 unique monsters or bosses. The character would be rewarded with some powerfull items or maybe same kind of thing as WoW has, Badges. So when you collect the badges long enough by clearing out areas you would be able to buy somewhat powerfull items from Vendor (not too powerfull like it is in WoW, making almost everything else obsolete).
This kind of quests and the badge thing could be nice for players that are not so lucky. They could continue to repeat them while killing monsters from the area they would gain some loot and if not they would eventually be able to buy some upgrades. -

Two: If pokemon was made by blizzard and it had the gameplay for d2 i would not complain and I would be happy. So yes it does make sense "rofl". And does D3 look like pokemon? no so stfu that was a stupid argument on your part.
Three: You should be more worried about gameplay and online (pay to play and battle.net 2 features) -

Aug 6, 2008akse posted a message on MTV - Necromancer May Return, Diablo 3 Expansion Confirmed?I really hope no expansion in the first 2 years of D3.. in D2 it just felt like I had to repay the game when it came so soon and added so little, pretty much everyone was satisfied with the 4 acts and 5 classes back then and many dissappointed where the game went after expansion. 2 classes and 1 act. Had they made another year of it and come up with more stuff I would have been more satisfied I guess.Posted in: News
Well anyways just waiting for D3 and taking everything out of it when it comes before expansion. I guess this time they will make the expansion a bit better! -
Jul 31, 2008akse posted a message on Diablo 3 Multiplayer To Be EncouragedPosted in: News
And all this will of course be in Diablo 3 and battle.net 2.Quote from "Equinox" »Where to begin:
- LAG FUCKING;
- trading is complicated and broken due to economy;
- everyone is rushing all day long;
- everyone is using a cookie cutter build;
- everyone is using twinked characters with uber gear already;
- PK'ers in Hardcore;
- loot system;
- sharing items between characters is a huge pain via mules;
- characters disappear if you don't play them long enough fucking gay.
No, Multiplayer has huge motherfucking lag. Single player doesn't. Multiplayer only lets you play when you have good internet. Single player lets you play whenever you feel like it.
When diablo 2 released it had huge lag, they weren't aware how many people would start to play it.. it took some months and the lagging pretty much ended. After that there was some lag spikes in the peak times, but generally it was great. Only recently when the hackers figured a way to dupe items with lagging the servers the game has gotten those huge lags again.
You are speaking of this lag like it would be in every god damn multiplayer game. "EVERYTHING THAT IS INTERNET LAGS" yea right. I have better latency to D2 servers than Wow servers. D2 about 15-30, wow is 80-250. All the games I play online, works just fine with under 100 ping as average.. I wonder why is that?
- You don't need to trade if you don't want to. I trade like once in a month with my characters or something.
-PK's don't affect you in hardcore if you play in password games.
-Cookie cutter builds effect you how?
-I agree with the rushing part but thats not community's fault, its the game mechanics that allow it.
-Starting with a new ladder doesn't allow you to twink.. and no one is even rushing then.
-Loot system don't affect you if you play in password games
-Muling sucks yeah but in D3 I hope they figure out something else. And in single player you can't mule at all.
These are great SP games.. D2 is bad very bad. Even in battle.net I have many times quit the game because most friends have done that too.. only aspect in D2 is multiplayer. I played single player of it thru 2 times when I didn't yet have internet.There are plenty of great SP focused games, such as Baldur's Gate and Gothic, too bad you are too stupid to play them. Single Player games mostly have a better story, too.
But I hope in D3 the single player part is more enjoyable.. those repeatable and random quests and stuff should bring a lot more to singleplayer. -
Jul 25, 2008akse posted a message on Diablo III Gameplay Video Q&A part 2 - July 22D2 random maps are just piece of squares rotated 90-180 degrees.. it's no brainer to find the exit.. it is just annoying. I like act1 where there are roads you can follow, act2 is just annoying you just run around the edges trying to find the exit.. In the end you will end up farming the last area baal or CS that are static areas ( only small variations in Cs)Posted in: News
Think or just brute force find the exit by running by the edges, or get lucky and find exit in 2 seconds.. pfft. If they do it well, nice static open large areas with random dungeons.. I think it will be a lot better than D2 or TQ system There will be random events in the maps that will make them different every time you play..imo thats a better idea. In D2 you didn't really get to feel the world with the sandbox maps.Im not to fused with static environments i prefer to have to thik each time i go into a new area or the same area at another time. -

Lol yeah right. D2 is so shitty these days. No matter what D3 looks like(it looks good now) it will be a lot better.I fear that a large majority of Diablo Fans will continue to play Diablo 2 and give up Diablo 3. I wonder if Diablo 2 will have more users then Diablo 3 lol.

Maybe you can't, anyways you have to level up characters. If one don't like it they perhaps have to stay in D2.

Totally AGREE. Back to the roots! Drop out some of the lame and pretty much useless features that came to the game with LOD. Or remake them in a lot better way.
Anyways i'm glad the buff switch is gone, pretty useless all in all.

I think those are the biggest advantages you get.

I really hope they never make a game where they need to cut out some features because there is not enough buttons or something. (MW2 not balanced for lean!)

Well, insta deaths are not fun with max resists. Gloams have bugged damage, so it is nice if they fixed it.
In Classic where you can't get much over 75 res and no absorbtion you pretty much have to skip Plains of Despair every time there are Burning Souls spawned. Or you can clear it but it is much more dangerous(in HC not worth the trouble) and slower than just creating a new game.
Yeah the game is easy, immunities are not hard they are ANNOYING. They force you to build your class in certain ways or you will have to skip 1/3 of the monsters.
I had a lot more fun playing sorc when there wasn't immunities.
And Iron Maiden: It is better that it's gone than if it is in game but overpowered. It used to be okay before 1.10 you didn't get instagibbed, you had to be cautios but you didn't die on 1 hit. Don't know what they messed up with it in 1.10.

All the bosses/monsters with higher drop chance should be located in places where you couldn't just step through portal or WP and there they are.
You should have to work through piles of monsters before you reach them.
That would make the game more interesting and it wouldn't feel that you are just farming 1 dude. Also the monsters you kill on the way would grant you exp and even more items.

While there make a private channel and private games.. Tadaa.
The game uses TCP/IP so most likely the protocol should be able to transfer most of the data going on between you guys in the same game just through the router/switch so there wouldn't even be any lag.

3. They probably removed the iron maiden from oblivion mages completely.
"Removed Oblivion Knight's Iron Maiden curse."

If you also have Diablo 2 you would get same kind of item from there.

Blizzard won't officially support the game with some mod tools, but the people interested about it will have to find other ways to modify the game.
RTS games are a bit different for Blizzard. Giving the community some mod tools will give them free community maps etc.

Then maybe you are shown the map where your progress goes faster. If there is a ambush or something the progress will stop and take you back to the animation where the ambush happens.
After that you are taken to the normal game UI and you get to defeat the ambush. After it's done the caravan continues with the map and just before you arrive to the new area you are again shown the ingame animation of the new area and how you arrive there.
Something like that would be very interesting way of dealing with the "act" changing.
The Expansion(s) could be just new areas that get's unlocked. You could gain a transport to new places through some quest.

If you play single player, you can leave the game on and continue some other day Anyways you should be able to clear one difficulty in one day pretty much.
