Jul 1, 2008MisterRio posted a message on Diablo 3 Items and InventoryApart from people jumping to conclusions about missing game features after watching a tiny demo, I feel this does show one thing: We wont have charms based on inventory space anymore, I wonder if they will work charms into a new system. Perhaps having an allotted number of slots just for charms or maybe throwing out the concept altogether. Its not something i need, but I wouldnt mind still having it.Posted in: News

You can put whatever twist you want on it, but it doesnt mean there isnt any relevance. Even if merely a fraction of those 11 million are "real" players or "actually" enjoy it, your completely ignoring the significance of that kind of subscription number. I dont play wow and dont argue my ass off to defend anything about the game, but i tend to enjoy using logic and making sensible reasoning out of what I know. Your point requires nothing to back it up and is quite lazy, why should it even matter? Because....... you know...... no one has ever grasped at straws like you are.......... thats just unheard of right?

Its like every other argument, two opinions that will never come to a conclusion. My head simply hurts from people actually thinking that the barbarians skills in the demo we have witnessed are over animated. It just seems like a ridiculous assessment, I have not seen any skill from the barbarian that is so over the top that you would ever connect it with blatant crazy magic use.
The highest animated skill is the shockwave-esque attack (forgot what the name was), and it makes complete sense to look and act the way it does. I guess there is just some sort of separation of logic or thought between what i see when i watch the barbarian and what you see. I have not once thought of crazy flashy skills that would be comparable to sorc spells.
So as i shake my head with issues of comprehension that goes through some of your heads, I will simply walk away at this point....... baffled by the complaining that has taken over these forums. I realize I have started to complain about people bitching as much as they actually bitch, so I am done.
P.S. you were not really bitching but our argument just sort of tipped me over the edge and reminded me of the terribly baseless arguments that exist here for the moment. Sorry for arguing with you.

referring to how you compared d2 sorceress spells to what you saw with the barbarian? Calling for a sort of over emphasis......
Thats exactly what i posted about, i apologize for putting words in your mouth sir, good day to you.

Whats so magical really? He has "spiritual" magic to form a MELEE weapon. He hits the ground to form a shockwave, because fighting classes have never done something like that in the past. There is power around him when he charges...... so what hes charging, hes not throwing out a lightning orb, plenty of games add effects around physical acts. Ah but yes, he has an emphasized slash mark for one of his skills...... thats crossing the line. and ww looks the same........ so much magical force its insane!

edit: its part of being sick of very baseless arguments where we often see warcraft brought into the argument to try and give a lazy attack at blizzard, sorry if it annoys you.

the Warcraft rts series has had 3 renditions developed for it not including expansions and Wow. You may want to bitch about Wow because its popular and cool to hate it, but there are somwhere in 11 million subscriber range for that game. As much as you may never admit, nearly all of the hardcore warcraft fans play wow or have played wow and enjoyed it. The argument is old and annoying. You guys arent the only blizzard gamers out there no matter how much you want to be the majoirty representation. Stop acting like warcraft fans have been ignored.
For the record I do not play wow, and I happen to be a "hardcore" (I hate the term really) Diablo player who loves the new different artstyle, animations, witchdocter..... and so on.
ps I just chose your post to quote because it was the last one there, so Ill use it as a general example.

and as far as the 4 player gameplay we saw at the end........ very very easy to see what was going on and no where near over-chaotic......... if you cant tell whats going on in that gameplay you have either never played any of the previous Diablo games or should not play D3, seriously.

In the end it doesnt matter too much to me.

Highly doubt it. Although, it would of course be a wonderful surprise.

I feel its fairly obvious as well. Not to mention the implied showing of him during the official announcement trailer, seemed to be the obvious point structure of such a teaser..... would be kind of foolish to keep it some new evil that just so happens to look similar to a newly fashioned Diablo.
ps Its not 3 heads, those are his shoulders..... since when does artistic direction have to have literal implications?
Edit: my post sort of sounded like i was accusing you of something whip, just clarifying I agree with you and contridict others. so...uh...yeh

this i think is what i was most worried about, the isometric view...... I am so very pleased to see they kept that traditional style for D3. Although i was still fairly confident considering the ties they kept with SC2.
