copealope posted a message on Blizzard changing trials mid seasons.Okay so how it used to be is whatever wave you were on you got a keystone 5 levels below that wave. now they changes it to 10, this doesnt sound like a big deal but let me assure you , it is a HUGE deal. wave 46 to 51 is like going from t4 to t 6. so congrats to everyone who made it on the leaderboards, you've secured your positions for the rest of the seasons. everyone give them a round of applause while half the population quits from major changes mid season. im going to lol when i log on each day to see the same top 10 not move at all on every class. i guess a lot of people already quit from the exploit and lack of builds and sets though. i feel like this season is ruined, and anyone who thinks they can get to wave 56 on the solo barbarian leaderboards is joking themselves. blizzard should NOT be making these changes mid season. its not okay and not fair to everyone who worked so hard to get gear and hasnt started competing seriously yet.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion -

This is a collection of all changes to legendary items upcoming in 2.1 - documented in the patch notes and undocumented but as observed on the PTR. I've searched for this, but did not find a concise, complete, up-to-date collection. This is mainly such that I can update my wizard guide as soon as 2.1 hits - and of course to plan ahead which builds might be cool in 2.1. Please shout if you spot a mistake or a missing item! If available, provide a screenshot (link to imgur.com). Note that I'm particularly interested in changes that seem to go unnoticed such as crappy default rolls on items being removed. Some of those might be really interesting, especially since some cooldown reduction or resource cost reduction rolls on exclusive items were removed.

► General Changes ◄
Most changes are [/]not retroactive, i.e., you have to find the item anew. There are a few exceptions, like the class set bonus changes, the two-handed weapon buff (up to 30% more base damage), and the arcane damage roll on Moonlight Ward.
Note that life on hit and life regeneration will be buffed and re-rolled on all your existing items - for example, a Royal Ring of Grandeur can roll up to roughly 7500 life on hit in 2.1, so don't be to quick to roll LoH off some items! Existing rolls will be more than tripled when 2.1 hits. Life regeneration will see a similar buff.
A special treat for barbarians: shoulders, chest armor, and two-handed mighty weapons can now roll Furious Charge as well as Call of the Ancients damage.
One of the most important changes is the addition of Ramaladni's Gift, which adds a socket to a (non-socketed) weapon. This is what it looks like. It's tradeable just like an item (for 2 hours within party). It means that you should not re-roll a stat on a weapon right now that has a socket (because you will want to remove that socket come 2.1) and you should not re-roll any stat on a weapon that has a low damage roll (because instead of desperately rolling some other stat to a socket, you might want to add the socket with Ramaladni's Gift and re-roll the damage).

Previously, only few items that had a legendary proc would benefit from elemental damage on gear (e.g., Thundergod's Vigor is increased by lightning damage while Thunderfury is not). Legendary items that directly deal damage should now all properly benefit from the appropriate +% elemental damage item affix. I can't say I agree with your outlook, at all. Saying "Your goal on D3 is efficiency" is presumptuous and wrong. Suggesting that every effective build has been documented is also wrong, especially considering the new gems and items that will be available. There will always be a build that does the most damage, but that doesn't mean it suits everyone's playstyle. I've played all the classes and I stick with playing Wizard and DH because those are the two I enjoy playing, not because they are the most efficient.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I'm not calling yours wrong, but don't assume you know what is best because you've watched a video or know how to use a search engine or reddit.... -

First of all i apologize for any mistakes that i might make in my writing, because english is not my native language, but i think it's also quite well.
I want to present my version of the build around [b]Sacrifice. [/b]It's my first official build write down, so pls don't expect it to be perfect :P.
So, the build is revolving around[b]Zombie Doges & Sacrifice[/b]as the main damage skill, as it is now on the PTR.About the build: yes, i saw one or two similar builds and mine is not 100% complete and perfect yet, but for my early testings it did quite well, surprisingly. This introduction includes also some theory crafting and i didn't manage to record a video of this build in action, simply because i didn't ever do one (and don't know how to/which progs/no time). Also, I think this build is weighted like ~60% : 40% fun to efficiency. I will show the build with some variations that one may choose to adjust the needs of each one. I came to the idea because my Jade WD is almost perfect geared and i wanted more diversity in my pet builds. Ok, enough of forewords, let's go!
Info about the skills from patch notes (spoiler to save some space in post, sorry if unnecessary):
- Sacrifice Has been redesigned
- Now sacrifices a single doge at a time
- The doge will now be thrown to you cursor location and detonates on impact
- You do not gain additional damage if your giant doge represents more than 3 normal doges
- Now stuns enemies in the impact area for 3 seconds
- Mana gained increased from 60 to 280 per doge
- All your doges will now be sacrificed in a single cast for 1090% weapon damage each
- This buff gains a stack with each cast and has a maximum of 10 stacks
Weapon damage [b]increased from 185% to 1090%[/b]

[b]Core of the Build:[/b]
I think the first thing that points out is the nice increased damage. Now it makes this skill more viable than ever before. But it's not just the damage why I chose to try out this skill. It makes much fun for me to blow them up and really deal damage with it. As you also can see, the skill can be used with TMF now, which triples it's damage and creates another nice synergy with TMF. This is also part of the variant of the core build.
While almost every rune is interesting (except of pride, because we won't need any mana), i see only two viable choices: [b]Next of Kin[/b] (not touched by patch) & [b]Provoke the Pack.[/b]For the Master is not that effective, I think, because it needs all doges to be by your side for full potential of the rune and because of the fact, that you sometimes miss the shots, you would lose all the doges at once. I personally prefer Next of Kin, because I feel most flexible with this one. It has a 35% chance that a sacrificed doge respawns as a new one, waiting to be sacrificed again! Provoke the Pack can almost double your damage for 5sec but I think you don't benefit from the increase of damage if you just don't have any doges
Now, because of Sacrifice as our main damage delaer, I would focus on Physical element.
Well, let us put up this main spec now and talk a bit about the other skills I use.
This spec is for the normal build, without TMF and i find it slightly more fluent, but I'll talk about the one with TMF later, too (variations).
[b]Skills:[/b]
- [b]Sacrifice[/b]: Next of Kin (main skill)
- [b]Piranhas[/b]: Piranhado (pretty much almost in every spec a nice-to/must-have)
- [b]Zombie Dogs:[/b] Life Link -- I chose Life Link simply because of the occasional 10% reduced damage u take, when not all dogs have been sacrificed.
- [b]Soul Harvest[/b]: Vengeful Spirit(1) - additional damage of physical type
- [b]Spirit Walk:[/b] Jaunt - mandatory in every WD spec for defense/mobility, Jaunt because we don't need mana(reg)
- Gargantuan:[/b] Restless Giant(1) - deals physical damage and rages on elites, quite useful rune I think
[b]Passives[/b]:
- [b]Circle of Life[/b] - though it had a nerf from 30% to 15% chance, it's still useful in my opinion. Also it's still in 20yrd radius, which is enlargable
- [b]Fierce Loyalty[/b](2) &[b]Midnight Feast[/b](2)- for additional dogs as well as speed for you and damage for garg
- [b]Pierce the Veil[/b] - obviously perfect, because we don't need mana so we just take the 20% dmg increase
(1): exchangable skills for your own variations/preferations
(2): change these to fit your needs when you use TMF, for example Gruesome Feast and Spirit Vessel.
There are also other skills that you could use for (1) and (2), for example the active ones could be BBV:Boogie Man & Mass Confusion: Devolution (despite the nerf from 50->30%) and Tribal Rites with Grave Injustice for the synergy of lowering the cooldowns as much as possible, but then you would have to go for another CDR rolls on equip and paragon which could be difficult to maintain enough damage output.
Would look like this.
I have to admit, I have to test this variation of spec a bit more, but for now I would hold on to the main spec.
[b]Itemization:[/b]
The item that really benefits this spec, is the Homunculus, which provides the useful ability to spawn doges continiously every X sec. Best version would be of course with 4sec. I didn't find a PTR version yet, so i can't tell you if it still rolls with fixed Elite dmg reduce and allres, maybe someone knows already and could post here.
If you have this, almost everything else is pretty much standard and not too hard to get:
- Andy's (physical%)
- ordinary amulet with physical%, CHC, CHD, INT - though I'm gonna look for the new Hellfire amu with an additional passive like Zombie Handler for an additional doge
- RoRG & SoJ would be best I think (tested with Unity though because I don't have a phys% SoJ)
- Aughild's shoulders & bracers (phys% of course)
- Mojo - Homunculus as mentioned before
- Weapon Doombringer for additional phys%, but you may just use Sun Keeper or the best you have
- Harrington Waist is BiS belt here I think, unless you don't have it, then use other
- as the armor I used Blackthornes, as well as
- the panties of Blackthornes and
- Ice Climbers as boots, but also free of choice if you don't have, I just used what i had on mules..
Strongarm Bracers would be a good choice, too, but then you would have to manage other way with Blackthornes.
ParagonPoints / Stats on items:
Simple as with everything else:
Core - Movement speed 'till max (25%)
Offense - Crit chance & Crit Dmg > Attack speed > Cooldown
Defense - Allres > Life% / Def / LifeReg -- just fit your needs
Adventure - Area Dmg > LoH > Gold
Gameplay:
Well, gameplay is really simple: cast Piranhado to gather mobs and trigger additional damage, shoot some torpedo doges and white trash should be down (tested in T6 with my char), also similar way with elites. For rift bosses or left over lonely Rambo - elites you would possibly have to shoot all doges and kite while waiting for additional ones to spawn. 3 sec while in Spirit Walk should be enough to avoid damage until the first doge spawns again. Otherwise just use active skill of Zombie Doges, also as a torpedo salve for example: cast all doges on elite pack until originals and respawns are all gone, spawn additional ones by yourself and another salve.
Difficulties:
A bit lackluster it gets when fighting Rift boss, you will have to wait sometimes for doges to spawn.
Also the doge torpedos fire from their positions, that means it occasionally will take some milliseconds until they arrive at your target.

I had a game with 2 anarch elite packs just the other day, we were working on this pack for over an hour and every time i ressed "as a witch doctor jade harvester build" i would literally be 1 shotted before i could even apply my dots. I am paragon 500 and have 500k hp with zombie dogs which is 40% damage reduction + talents. please voice your concerns people so blizzard will maybe do something about this and fix it. Well if you go into necro solo and look at those with asian clan tags that cleared 110+ with skeletons for extra CDR and obsidian ring. I am willing to put money on you can ban those. The build is unplayable without D3helper or worse... and the 117 clear guy that was no1 had for weeks had so shitty gear/para that it would have been a joke for top200. (think he is no3 EU season now, but you can notice for yourself by inspecting, also notice lack of played hours)
I do know that some players burn 1000 keys to get solo top 20, but this guy burned some yens on his bot subscription..
I do think Blizz need to start new banwaves, ASAP.
If nothing else let them all buy new accounts, Blizz wins, and the honest players wins...and who cares about the botters and their emotions, apparently they dont play the game at all, but pay some software to do most the playing. Never understood the concept.
Necro relies heavy on CDR timing, both zdps and trag and pesti, so scripting and perfect casting of multiple spell does warrant results that are unachievable for even best humans. After all we do live in an age where AI beat both best chess players and also humans in poker, so do think its more than "likely". Proof is more or less on the bots forums, not going to link those and promote anything, but they are bragging a lot.

Well I hope you are right Demonmonger and "your facts" in pointing somewhere new and shiny, playing D1, D2 and sucking it up with D3 through all the fixes and Eras, just taught me to believe that it's actually not going anywhere quick. I wish they would charge us more for more content, I am sure we are many D3 players active or not, that actually would enjoy paying for regular new content. Not sure how the Blizz business model works, not sure if they know anymore either.

Yeah dream on nothing will come except some halfhearted january dungeon and eventually the necro and armor rack late 2017, which is fine.. but not really what the game needed.
Blizz and a few of the dedicated D3 players could have taken this game somwhere, but Blizz is a big machine and I guess pets, transmog and the occasional useless legendary gem is what the game has come to. Sure necro looks cool, but the armory is really stuff anyone with 1000 hours D3 woudl have implemented years ago for free.
I do enjoy the game, but Blizzard is fuck all passionate about it..we used to get weekend buffs and events.. now they dont even care to change anything for new seasons except a new portrait or pet. Stop dreaming its not a conspiracy to make something grand new and shiny, its just a big corporation, killing its game slowly while selling as many D3 copies on post like this.
