Mmm, sassy...
+1
I am actually looking forward to this patch:
1. didn't had the chance to play barb last season, and he still looks good
2. armory will give me option to alternate easy between supp/ww/ik/leap
3. ctrl+click for 100 para points is nice (not Like I ever went above 900 in season, but still, it's nice to click 8 times rather than 40)
4. separate mats stash should give me loads of free space, which is always nice.
5. perfect rolled items sound like good grail to chase, and I love doing that, ever since D2. This could actually be quite incentive.
6. bounties...
downsides:
1. no new items
2. no skill overhauls
So, overall, not a major patch, but everything I see I like.
I sure miss few things, but at least they're not screwed up, they are just absent.

How Bane of Stricken functions with rend?
Is key trying to snapshot BotS ICD in great density with PE, and then just stack it on RG with Whirlwind mostly?
Is it worth using, is it mandatory or just good, and are there any other gems that can be used instead of it?
I know rend goes slow on RG so I guess BotS covers that area pretty good, but not sure is using gem just for that worth?

Ok, we all know these 3 lines:
But has anyone discovered exact numbers for level 1 damage boost, level 3 damage boost, lightning arc damage, explosion damage?
This exists way too long in game to be so mysterious. I am aware that this probably has no impact considering that level GR's are being speeded nowadays, but still, I would very much like to know what I am dealing with.

This is a helpfull reply.
I'd upvote it twice if I could
Thanx.

some peole like to use Threatening Shout: Falter with Skull of Resonance in cube. But then you loose your Hexing.
Or get Harpoon to keep them with you, that is most efficient.

just gave some pointers in another thread, check it out:

F/R is good, but I'd recommend swapping TS with Charge Merciless.

yep, IK rend is amazing. while doing 60, which I had big trouble as ww, at some point I noticed that I am more than 50% ahead of time.
That compensated at boss though, even though I had ~3 minutes for him, I finished with some 20-30 sec remaining. Fury issues, big time.
but yeah, the dmg is real

Hm, I honestly believe that there is typo somewhere in there.
but, maybe not, with IK weapon, belt and 1 more item (eg helm), you get waste slots with: shoulders, gloves, pants, boots, body.
combine that with RoRG and you get 4 IK, 6 Waste.
But you loose COE
But you get permazerk

Watching Alkaizer video, he says that with Lamentation, you can apply rend twice to enemies in radius *this is normal), but when one (or actualy two if Lamentation is in game) dies (Bloodbath rune), they add another stacks of rend, and that it can go up to 4 stacks of rend per mob (2 from clicks, and 2 from 2 mobs that die near the final target).
Now, am I understanding this right?
Also, I have searched the web, but haven't found any real Rend 101 thread.
Further more,
- do both stacks of rend inherit the IK/Waste bonuses?
- if mob has 2 stacks, and I rend once, do I refresh both stacks or just first (or the last) one?
- is rend dynamic or snapshot? and if Snapshot, can we theoreticaly drag powerpylon snapshotted rend accross the map, like with monk EP?
I have lots of questions, obviously, and I am hoping that someone did some testing, and has the answers.
Also, how in hells name do people manage their fury on RG?!?

^^ YAY!
Did my 60 with alkaizer rend/ww buuild: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcGzl3k52GE
had no unity, instead went CoE. Died a few times, RG took me eternity, but was cool overall.

yeah taht one should do it.
with a lot of fishing i guess.

for 60 you will need a bit different setup, look into chainers guide for solo barb, with spear etc.
I will go for 60 solo most likely with generator monk, seems easier somehow.

Yep, something definitely went wrong with data.

For start, regarding legendary gems, for Whirlwind build you need:
- [Mandatory] Taeguk
- [Mandatory] Pain Enhancer
- [Optional] Bane of the stricken - somewhat fine, but works rly nice only on RG.
- [Optional] Bane of the trapped - for overall more consistent damage.
Ditch the Skull Grasp from Kanai Cube, the dmg increase is next to non-existant on Dust Devils spawned via Waste set.
Also, for cube I personaly go:
- Convention of Elements
- Hexing pants of Mr. Yan
- Furnace (worth mentioning that I had notable results with Stalgards Decimator too in lower GRs (up to 50-55))
Bracers switch to Strongarms, to proc with Furious Charge (Merciless Assault rune, for cd reduction while charging into the clusterfuck to start spinning, or to charge out if tons of effects stack underneath your feet).
Change Battlerage to Bloodshed, Warcry to Veterans warning, Whirlwind to Blood Funnel and tru to get some physical dmg on amulet/bracers.
I personaly like Ignore Pain with Bravado rune, cause it lets me proc Strongarms.
That should cover the itemization/skills.
Oh yess, passives... you need Ruthless and Rampage. At least Rampage, it's a must!
Looking at your bnet profile and skills, I'd say:
- Ruthless
- Rampage
- Nerves of Steel
- Boon of Bul-Kathos
Boon of Bul-Kathos would be te only one subject to change, maybe Animosity or smth like that if survivability is questioned.
And as for playstyle, just stay in high density, charge regularly to keep Focus and Restraint proc up, and Ignore Pain when things go rough (i like to keep it for moments like freeze/jailer), and don't spend time on small groups. Just let 'em follow you untill you get a nice chokepoint.
Hope I helped
This is my setup, but for speed T8 (lightning based): http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/ch1zra-1866/hero/65232612
Bit of changes like I said and it can go up to 59-60, slow but steady.
//edit:
I am bored at work, so I colored it fancy

ww build used mostly for solo rifts (N & G)
