i'd like to see diferent versions of hell as you go down on diferent levels of it, something like the divine comedy's hell but not a copy of it of course... something deolate at the begining like you fon't know what's going to happend next, the next level you may see some sort of hellish life forms like corrupted plants (i imagine somthing like those things that grow under the sea)... and so until you reach the last one and thre you see all the dead souls trapped in eternal death and suffering with blood and mutilated bodys and there you know you are getting close to the guy that gives the name to all this... muahahahaha...

You make Everest sound insignificant, southern africa gets its rain from the indian/atlantic, thats why there are sill jungles down there, but northern africa got it from a current that arced over asia from the atlantic. I saw this on discoverey, so unless you have some sort of ancient air current map, or a more credible source explaining how the sahara was formed then then I can't believe you (and dont try to discredit television as a medium for learning).

well... the probabilitys for inteligent life forms to exist anywhere in the universe are far smaller than the probability for a wave to make a sand castle in the beach... yet we are here...

also depends on what do u call life... for instante if u say a living being is that who perform the basic life functions then fire should be consider alive (life function being born, nurture, grow, reproduce and die)

you're wrong... what bush does is also you're responability because u voted him (or not... is the same for that matter) that is one of the axioms of democracy... that 0.00001% represent you and that's why u have to vote...to get a good representation...

always the bottom issue is that countries think is them against the world... some on in this thread said "leave the americans alone"... come on!!! you are NOT alone and you don't leave the rest of the world alone... i belive that US, china russia and all those "powerfull" nations never learn... just take a look to latin america... our countries are getting closer and we are trying to join politics to face the crisis... if only the world would do the same... i know i'm idealistic, but we really need a change of mind!!

i think there are two big things about obama, the first is historical (all the first black president and that... is like cristina fernandez here, pur first women president)

the second is that the fact that americans voted a black person for president speaks of a change in the US society... a very promissin change btw

but in the end he is just another politician and will make some things right ans a lot wrong.. like every politician in the history of mankind... the change for good must come from the US society itself

AI isn't the problem... i'm sure thre will be some good simulation of the human mind in the future, but for real consiusnes i don't know...
