Jan 6, 2010Nacho_ijp posted a message on More Information on Resource Systemsbut if you continue on using one skill you either hurt yourself or you are forced to use a different skill or set of skills, you said it yourself:Posted in: News
This system will force the player to use a variety of skills
the problem is that some people doesn't like that idea... (I say "some people" because I actually like this thing) -
Jan 6, 2010Nacho_ijp posted a message on More Information on Resource SystemsPosted in: NewsQuote from "ScyberDragon" »The Wizard -
The wizard has two types of skills. One type "smaller" skills lower your instability and "higher" skills raise it. When your instability rises, your skills have a chance of returning part of the damage to yourself and reduces the damage inflicted upon your enemy. The damage dealt to yourself will be a percentage of your remaining health. This is to prevent the player dying from any back lash. Health/mana globes will just lower your instability to allow you to continue casting high spells.
This system will force the player to use a variety of skills yet be able to constantly attack with no mana limits. You can constantly spam skills but at some point you will have to use lower spells to lower your instability.
Lore wise it makes sense because the Wizard is exhausting themself to cast these spells and causing the to get "sloppy" with continual use.
Looks wise, the Wizard will have a "purple" arcane globe on their screen. The more unstable they get, the brighter this globe grows, signaling to you that you need to use skills to lower it. If a spell does back fire, then the globe will go back to the dull setting, allowing you to build it up again.
This is a similar idea that came up in the wizard's form of energy thread, the main problem is that it forces the player to use a variety of skills, and some people see that as a penalization for using the skill of their choice, why should the player be forced to use some skill they may don't want to use just for the sake of an energy system??
that is the main flaw in this idea, but is the most likely if we pull ideas out of the name blizz provided....
that said, i'll like to say that instability is a lame name for the wiz form of energy!!, it sound like a form of energy for a mad scientist or a potion maker... I'd like more something like equilibrium or something more... mystic?? -

Dec 17, 2009Nacho_ijp posted a message on Day, night, and variation!I agree with musica... athmosphere variety is a great way to enhance the game. I think that also adds to the gameplay as it's different to play with everything illuminated or the other way around... of course is not a big difference, but imo weather efects does afect gameplay in a good way...Posted in: News

So it would make perfect sense if they decided that once D is dead, it's time to off the mankind.
yeah, and that would fit with the story, why did tyrael destroid worldstone?? to let heaven enter sanctuary and destroy humans!!
but as we haven't seen any artwork about it I think there's not a lot of chance that we would fight angels... -
Dec 6, 2009Nacho_ijp posted a message on Skill System Changes to Affect RespecsPosted in: NewsQuote from "mattheo_majik" »I respectfully disagree. I think that Blizzard know very well the implication of creating a game by their own standards. When your universally known to be a company which creates groundbreaking games with "near to perfection balance" you sort of feel a certain ammount of pressure to design things meticulously. Requiring alot of back and forth designing in order to push the limits.
They've always said that they push the ideas past the line in order to find the line. Then go back a few steps and balance everything. Not because they try to do shit that they can't, or they get into way over their heads. When you've got that much resourses, talent, experience available you can do anything, with the right ammount of time.
you have a valid argument in there... i must agree and add good rep -
Dec 4, 2009Nacho_ijp posted a message on Skill System Changes to Affect Respecssurely blizz is starting to feel the downside of all this changes (not saying the changes are bad)... the balancing issue is becoming quite complicated as far as i can see...Posted in: News

That said, I think it would be nice if we help those who are struggling with finding items and levelling their chars.
I'm not saying we should give away those godly items that will certainly make you rich, but those items that you used or find along the way and that are not really worthy of an AH slot and vendoring them is just an annoying way to get rid of.
For instance, I have a couple of wands and sources that can't be sold and I think they would be helpful for anyone who's playing a wizard. So if anyone is in need of medium-low items to upgrade a bit your char add me and I'll gladly give it away.
But don't be greedy, if I see you have two level 60 chars with awesome items you certainly don't need them so be fair ok?
