I'm not sure I follow your logic. I think I know what you would like, but this sentence, coupled with most of your post, sounds like wishful thinking.
This is 2017 and Blizzard have a great advertising team. If you intend to bring "solid updates" for a game or product, you don't miss the chance to do so with the 20th anniversary of one of the greatest gaming hits ever.
Sorry, but that is the plain truth. After all, the "redesign" of D1, the "redesign" of the necro, is nothing new. It's grabbing from the previous game and adapting. That doesn't sound like the work of a team in 1 year.
I would like to ask those of you who are positive (I wish I was!): what do you think that the d3 team has been doing for the last 2 years? Cause what has been announced and/or implemented to the game doesn't justify their paychecks.

But I'm trying to express my utter frustration with what I expected on the 20th anniversary of our fav franchise.
Frank Pearce might be a big guy in Blizz. But the real point of him going to the fans as the new face of diablo is...that there is no new face of Diablo.
With maximum respect to the guy, they were "supposedly" hiring a new game director, since Mosqueira run away from there. And their new director, the person who is gonna bring the franchise to the future is.....a founding Blizzard member? That's new blood in there , huh!
At least we were awarded with 5 Diablo minutes in the starting ceremony; that's a big improvement from 0 the former year.
Some positivism in there! Happy 20s.

This is Diablo, not Warcraft. Any sort of comparison you try to make is futile. Nor we Diablo fans want to be like them.
They are a cash machine and we are the black sheep of Blizz offspring. They get 3 huge content packs a year.
Of course they embarrassed the franchise legacy. What you, and the other 3 fanboyz here, want to believe does not change what we have been given.
I do not want to "imagine" facts, as you do. I want FACTS.
And the fact is a January crap event and 1 year ahead, probably, till necro pack with some reused skills and NO CONTENT.
This is what , as a fact, we will have been given in over a year of "passion development".
At this point, I'm inclined to believe you are part of the d3 development skeleton crew.
No one else sees your "facts". And guess what? We would all love to see them.....but they are not there.

Something along those lines (1st person, open-world survival) would give the franchise a nice reboot.
Imagine if they could provide the dark-tense atmosphere on d1 and (part of) d2 in a 1st person game.
It's so freaking sad that we have to try to find hidden clues in Job openings, after they decide to humiliate the Diablo franchise on its 20th anniversary.

Hey, we are given 6 ( YEAH!!!! SIXXXX) new legendary items.
1 new class that will cost 20-30 $, in only 8-9 months.
A new-rehashed dungeon with old-revamped models.
2 zones. Not 1...two useless zones....with no lore on them!!
Happy 20th anniversary Diablo Fans!!!!!
But anyone else who does have the slightest respect for this game and/or this franchise, should find another game and not give Blizzard a fucking dollar until diablo 4.
And that's coming from someone who has strong investments in Activi$ion Bli$$ard stock. But that doesn't put the blindfold on me.
I feel that what Diablofans have been given is..... embarrassing. They have humiliated this franchise on it's 20th anniversary.

If you don't understand the fact that most people will obviously not confront a "senior Moderator" of a forum site, just because you could easily punish them, or simply out of respect, I think you have your issue there.
Please take a look at the forums. Every time someone starts a Pro-trading post, they get flamed and insulted to death. Yet , curiously, you never show up there to intervene, or in this post with the oh so funny and adequate picture a few posts above.
Yet you took the time to comment my post, critiicize my attitude and way of saying things. How was I rude or inadequate is beyond my knowledge, nor intended.
You said you've been here forever. Mind you, don't look at my join date, I simply never felt the need to post; but I probably have been here as long as you do. I don't like drawing attention or being a drama queen. And my opinion about who "controlls" this site have been developed over a lot of time. You saying whatever you wanna say won't change that. Anyone, given a few months reading threads in here, will create their own opinion about it.
Also, I know you are an educated person. Could we have you opinion about the BoA move success? From Blizzard's point of view, that is. How big is the playerbase now?
I don't know if there's a majority of people in favour of BoA. I do know though, it's common nature on people to defend what they are given, or know. That's how humans behave, and that's why people in dictatorship tend to defend what they have. Or why, in the early months of d3 vanilla life, people was saying it was wonderful and perfect. Blindfolded reality perception.
Those who oppose are what makes changes happen.

Everybody knows if they made a trading server and a non trading-BoA server, there would be a ridiculously low amount of the playerbase in the BoA one. I'm guessing a 10% , tops.
Of course, it would include all the Non trading defenders like Bagstone, Bandyto, Bleu and such who are the most outspoken here. That is, until they created a char with another name and they went to the trading server cheating on their Oh so beloved Game that they managed to impose upon the rest of us.
People that like trading are usually frowned upon by the Holy inquisition on this forum, sadly. And given all kind of insults and jibes. The photo a few posts above clearly shows the way these people usually behave. Not all of them, but most of the BoA lovers act like that. High-school pack bullying anyone who has a different opinion.
Fact is, according to numbers, playerbase has been vastly reduced from vanilla D3 to RoS. They made a huge majority of the playerbase quit their game, and no matter how this BoA lovers wanna hide the facts, or say they love the game now, from a market point of view it is a disastrous result.
I honestly think Blizzard investors are not really happy with what JM did to the game. At all. And they actually are the only ones whose opinion matters.

Please guys , you could try to be more unbiased. It is not like Blizzard is gonna give you free items, or hire you as MVP's , because you praise the wonders of the game. You will hurt your knees, get up from under blizzard's table. It is not what we were expecting.
And that's not even taking into account the fact that, reading a lot of articles in both this and other fansites, the playing time the expansion offers seems to be even shorter than D3V. And the gear wall (can not find upgrades omggg) is really steep this time. By the time you have found your Thunderfury and SoH, and enchant them to socket, you are pretty much done unless you want to devote 20 hours of game to find a dissapointing set item left.
Heck, announcing ladders (to come in a few months) A WEEK BEFORE RELEASING THE EXPANSION should serve as a clear hint to what RoS actually delivers. Trying to change the focus point from the exp to the ladders is a pretty desperate move I think. Plus , ladders were amazing in d2 mainly for the economy reset. In a game with no economy like this.....I fail to understand the use of ladders, even after having read lots of "love ladders" posts.
I realize my point of view will not be shared by several blindfolded members of this nice community. I accept that. I wish I find the game amazing.....but after 100 or so hours I'm having a really difficult time finding any upgrade, and I'm writing a post here instead of playing.
