Quote from Magistrate
And since they gave us no inkling or promise of a release date of any kind for anything, there is no reason for anyone to be angry at them. Especially with how much information they give. The panels were really too short. Jay was rushing to get it all out.
I just assumed that for Blizzard's own convention, it would be more than a class reveal and the "reveal" of PVP arenas.
Oh well, that's what you get when you assume (or set reasonable expectations).

Thank you.
I wanted to say something to this effect, but I didn't want to piss off someone who was in this field if I didn't word it correctly.
High five!

Caps Lock. Cruise control for Awesome.
But that's the thing about Blizzard. they aren't just one person. It's a team. They bounce ideas off of each other and they constantly teast and hone each other's strengths, and build-up weaknesses. Think of them like a panel of supreme court justices. One alone may not seem fair or just, but together they are justice, fair and true.

You think D3 looks cel-shaded.
That's funny. I mean...REALLY. Rich.
And the idea that you'd think I'd need to look it up. Even funnier.
As if I need to look it up to know how wrong you are. It would seem as though YOU need to re-acquaint yourself with the definition.

You're saying they're both great games?
Oh wait. You must be saying D3 is cartoony.
How droll.

Agreed once again.
I think a bunch of the butthurt stems from the fact that it's simply not D2 in 3D.
D2 was a logical progression from D1, and as such D3 should make leaps and bounds as well.
Don't want to hold back progress!

Agreed. They can be explained in any manner of ways, from an embodiment of the demon's life force, to orbs full of rich, tasty courage.

Lazy Town FTW.
But more on-topic, I actually think the orbs are a cool addition. I'm sure plenty of us will never pay them much mind once we being to get more play-time; it will just become like second-nature to pick them up when we're low.
I suppose it's part convenience, part evolution of the Diablo gameplay.

He clearly states any and everything that would be wrong with making D3 look like these 'shopped pics.
Just gives less ammo to the crowd who like to think Blizzard had no reasons whatsoever.

Correction:
Health orbs are not part of art direction, they are exclusively a part of gameplay.
The only part the art department has a say over health orbs is how they look.

Both of you. Shush.
Now go to bed without dinner.
NOW!

I wish I had seen that quote before.
I need a towel.

I hate to say it, but that's just more of you and me disagreeing because of our opinions.
I'm sure plenty of people will believe both of our arguments, but I suppose it's more of the "wait and see" game until we get more screens and videos.

Firstly, Kenzai:
While I understand and respect your position on the matter, I suppose it merely boils down to our differing views and tastes as far as what is "contrast". Personally I think that the beauty of a field that is filled with the undead is very stark contrast, whereas you feel that there should be some corruption shown. Taking into account the whole "from Apocalypse to more Apocalypse" quote, we may see corruption run more and more rampant the further we venture.
Secondly:
Jesus you guys. Calm down. I know we're all very passionate about Blizzard's next big game, but we need to tone down the rag just a little bit.
Flame wars won't get us anywhere. Show a little respect for the people you are debating with, even if you think they are a brain-dead moron.

Wrong.
Full saturation of those colors would mean that your screen would be filled with nothing but giant blobs of color.
I can't speak for your monitor, but something must be lost in translation here.
And even if all the colors ARE being used, it doesn't mean that they're full saturation. IT just means they're present.
I think you're confusing saturation with simple existence.
