Did you people not read the character page? The Wizard name was chosen very carefully apparently, there's a whole segment on how it's the uncouth magicians who use magic for they're own ends are not worthy to be called civilized sorcerers, instead they're branded Wizard.
Oh, and in the modestly cinematic class trailer... did anyone else notice the the skeleton king seemed almost exactly like King Leoric (you know, the giant skeleton king you killed) from Diablo 1?

Aug 3, 2007Roland posted a message on Diablo3.com is now at Blizzcon.Well of course diablo as a series has sold more than starcraft as a series... because starcraft isn't a series! As for that chart it said WoW has 6.5 million users, it now has 9 million outdated!Posted in: News
Now, tomorrow I'll find my source. -

I played the whole game through and never once went back to my body... just remember, the instant save feature is a massive idea, use it all the time, and when you die just reload, in hell I literally saved every time a finished a fight.

When from the witch doctor view it was just your standard blob-o'-blue mana orb which behaved the same way as in Diablo 2.
So it appears Blizzard is implementing a new energy/mana system for differant class, personally I love it, it makes it so much more dynamic for every class to use it's abilities differantly.
Don't any of you say it sucks because it's too much like WoW, it's a good system.

Anyway, I just came out of my 16 (or so) hour gaming streak in which I played straight throught Diablo I with a warrior. I fully expected to be disappointed in some way, but I have to say I wasn't. I made a point to kill every last demon, so it turned out a bit like 15 levels of the Den of Evil, but I loved it, and after not having beaten it in probably 9 years (almost 2/3rds of my life) I couldn't remember it enough to be just nostalgic. I'm almost glad there were no acts in it, Diablo 2 had a more af a journey feel to it as you went across the whole world, but I prefere the whole descending to Hell thing than the teleporting from the jungle into the Hell. Diablo 2 should arrive at my house via order tomorrow ( or rather today, it's already morning on the east coast.) Once I'm done with that I'll write you guys an article or something...
Another point is I really see wht Blizzard meant when they said that color is your friend and it should be used to make a game with a dark game, not dark colors. Every section ( church, catacombs, caves, Hell) was downright vivid with the exception of the cataombs which were just downright boring visually speaking. What's more, all the levels had a distinct color shade over all of them, level four of the church, for example, seemed like it had a big green cloud floating over it, which made it far mor cryptic, and king Leorics tomb seemed like the whole thing was on fire. The mood they set was ideal for every individual area.
Sorry for the huge post, I'm just giving out my thoughts.
