I think the faces were obviously planned, anyone could just take out the faces no problem, I mean with nothing but a clone tool you could do it...

Ah, cool. Yes, that is a good examination. I agree with most things, except I have a few questions/comments:

Where or when was it confirmed that Tyrael is being punished? It makes sense, and people talk about him being punished a lot, but I never know where they get their information from lol.

Who says that only archangels have tentacles rather than wings? Hadriel seems to have tentacles to me, they are just a bit droopy.

    http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/7998/picture7ng5.jpg

I don't see a cloak on the second angel, nor do I see anything that is recognisably Tyrael. It very likely is Tyrael (which is what I too believe), but I just don't see any actual evidence to support it.

And since when is gold light Tyrael's thing? When Tyrael takes Marius into a bit of an alternate world in the cinematic, there is no golden light in sight. Its just blue and white. I'm pretty sure the golden light is just from the meteor. In the cinematic teaser, you can see golden light from the meteor envelope the cathedral. Its the same light, its just showing that Cain is inside the cathedral at the time.

Nah, we did notice. People keep bringing that up. Its highly speculative though, because if I was designing the webpage, I would choose an iconic character and put him in an iconic place, whether the place and character relate to each other or not. Its just a website, afterall. I know I'm not blizzard, but it shows that it is still something thats highly speculative.

I too think that Tyrael will be in Tristram, but we just can't really use the website design as evidence.

    http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/media/artwork.xml#42

I'm pretty sure thats just Tyrael. Its the same design as the one on the website, which you also assumed to be Tyrael.

I haven't read anywhere that each member of the council has a specific glyph. The only way MD could know that is if Knaak told him personally. If those glyphs on the ground below tyrael really are symbols of the members of the Angiris Council, then that room would have to be in the Council's chambers in the Silver City (in Heaven). However, the description in The Sin War trilogy states that the floor is covered in an intricate marble design, unlike the floor we see there. But then again, it could just be a different room.

Thats actually a really good point. I never thought of that because I always assumed nephalem to be human-sized, but it is entirely possible that there are some giant nephalem out there.

    http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/media/artwork.xml#20

That is a good point with that artwork... except that there are no mirrors. His eyelids were torn out to force him to stare at himself forever, yes, but he can't stare at himself without a mirror to look into. Apart from the lack of mirrors, its a good thought, because he certainly does look like one of those Overlord demons (big and fat and ugly), which is what he is supposed to look like.

I actually think that artwork is just a room in the Mistress of Pain's dungeon. It looks like the same style as all her other artwork.

(The Mistress of Pain (who I presume is Duriel's mistress) was recently revealed as a boss-type monster with the newly released artwork)

Great work with that speculation too. You have certainly thought about it a lot. I haven't actually thought too much about it, because there are just way too many possibilities right now.

I can't really say a whole lot about this, it's just disagreeing with me. One more thing though, there's already someone in the room in that Inarius artwork. He (or she) may have doen something to shatter the mirrors.

A very out of whack thought is that glass is tecnically a liquid, so it has flown out into ppols on the ground or something leaving only silver backing.

Oh and as for the emblems, all that I've gathered is just the upturned sword=Imperius, that and how every archangel has a very distinct design, I kind of surmised that their would be emblems for all of them, not just Imperius.

I wrote this for a Starcraft site (sc2armory.com), whose sister site (d3armory.com) for Diablo is still under construction. I was gonna wait till the sister site is open but you guys speculate so fast I was afraid the whole thing would be old by the time I posted it.

It's VERY long, take your time, I'll write a concise summery for you guys later.

Kinda boring sounding, but a similar idea is to have like a city or something you have to defend, and you would have help from just little warrior (like the first area around Harrogath in Act V.) IF they tried it would be so dynamic, like you and 50 barbarian on a mountain with millions of demons charging at you, and like 4 gates to the city so you would have to think about it an not just hack, it would also give you room to manuvere so you don't just stand there, but the demons would have to be REALLY aggresive (like go into the city and kill the civillians aggresive.)

The King Leoric and his obvious heir, price Alberecht were both killed, whose in charge of their kingdom now? We're returning there in New Tristram, so the king may be important.

I killed Baal with my ladder amazon, but I didn't realize it automatically set me to nightmare mode, whenever I join a game I'm in Act I with no wp's. I prefer to play a little longer in normal, so what can I do? Is there a way to undo being in nightmare?

No, I don't think you were. Were you there when we were doing Tristram-runs? I seem to remember an Amazon with a name beginning with the letter "A."

I may have been, I did do Tristram 2-3 times today.
