Quote from "Blazur" »My friends and I used to hold regular D2 LAN parties where we'd have up to 8 people playing together in the same room for hours on end. We came up with a Diablo drinking game with the following rules:
Man we got hammered. I also rememeber one day we were out at dinner and came up with the brilliant idea to make an all paladin team (6 players), each focusing on different skills/auras. Wow was that was an unstoppable force or what.
- Drink every time your character or hireling gains a level.
- Drink whenever you return to town.
- Drink whenever you pick up a set or unique item.
- Everybody slam their beers if a set of items is completed.
- Drink whenever a rune is dropped.
- Drink whenever a unique moster is defeated.
- Social whenever a quest is completed.
- All finish beers with a social upon completion of an act.
- Drink twice when your hireling dies.
- Chug your beer when you're killed (for hardcore drinkers, drink an entirely new beer upon death).
Quote from "Sabacca50" »The correct answer is Andariel.
Quote from "Sabacca50" »Incorrect...

So in my eyes it's a bit more accurate than 1h 45min.

This game has been very slow to release, but still are taking their time to polish it up. As much as I want to play this game now, to me it's a sign of a company that wants it done right.
From what I played, this one will be great..

I read your statements just fine. But to expect the same out of game that offers more, there must be some draw backs.
Again, you have not played the game to KNOW anything of your little list..
..is or isn't true. I have played the game. A rather small part (34hours or so) and I can testify that it has gone farther than any other MMO in it's genre.
Now I am not some random person that is going to throw up my 2 copper in this particular area. If you notice, I have a fairly small post count for being on such an active site for the length that I have. There are only a few key topics I pipe in on and this is one of them.
Game taste and preference is a key to marketing a game from the get go. You don't like what you see, fine don't buy it. But to state little BS list when you do not know any of it to be fact, places you in the category of a standard "Know it all".

See, here is where you are confused. You are attempting to compare The force unleashed, a project I am very familiar with (since I was one of the developers), to an Online MMO. TFU is a storyboard game with twitch graphics.
Additionally Kotor was also NOT an MMO. You are talking about an Online platform that has to work sync and collisions engines for 1,000 clients or so, per server.
Maybe you need to look up what games are in this actual genre to understand how ahead of the times it really is.
Additionally, the graphics were done intentionally as far it saves file size and makes it more appropriate so NOT only the population with the latest and greatest machines would be able to play.
They took a lesser, more artistic style and I for 1 think it works great.
This game has created a huge buzz. Bioware makes great products, I would suggest trying it before you bad mouth it.

Well if you want to base all your games mainly off graphics, guess that's your choice. But you will have a hard time convincing most people, graphics alone make a great game.
I will assure you that this game does go further than any other online RPG of this nature. You let me know how wrong I am. I would really like to read where other online RPG's have actually done this before.
If you have zero interest, then you have zero interest. Don't start making sh%t up about this title not being original. It has taken that next step forward for this genre.

I would compare the combat system to Assassins Creed meets Siphon Filter and then on steroids. There are a lot more beautiful artful ways to take out your opponents by the dozen. Multiple different ways to sneak attack a group of roaming patrols.
It is a game that gives you a true feeling of playing as the Dark Knight. I have been one of the lucky ones to actually play a boss fight (E3). I must say the boss fights are a bit more difficult. The game also progressively gets harder as the game goes on.
As far as a turn off because of ambient lighting in a air duct, well if that's all you have to complain about, stop playing video games because there are minor problems such as this in every game, even Final Fantasy.

Guess no one here can change your mind, but I would suggest you try 1 of the 3 available download-able demos. It is quite awesome for a reason.
0
Played the demo and it is awesome.. Good story. Good fighting. Good action. Can't wait for the full. Played more than the demo at E3 and that was good.
AvP will also be a great release but probably not as big.
Global Agenda was another great E3 game.

They made some great updates to help fix the game after the launch. Problem was, you never felt sucked into the story line during the actual game play. The cinematic appeared to be so distant to what you where actually playing. It could have been really great. They had a good storyline to base it off of, good class choices and so on. But PD hit the nail on the head. Great armor and visual for a twitch RPG. Just not enough to keep it going. They spent all their time and effort/energy/money on mass weapon design. (Which was really good, especially the upgrade system)
They attempted to compare it to Diablo because a few where the OG developers. Problem was Diablo was great for it's time. Gamers are becoming numbed by "seen it before" and "(Add Generic Developing Company here) already did this."
I love helping to build a game that has some staying power and gives fans a thrill. BTW to anyone that owns "The Force Unleashed", great things are coming your way. I wish I was still with LA on the upcoming expansion. I hear great things about it..

This will be another winner. They have already shut out the EA propaganda machine from the decision table.

Hardware had to go to Natal and Alienware. Alienware has a new large 180 degree view monitor coming out that was beautiful. Little pricey though.
Personal interests were Aliens vs Predator and Arkym. But Ruse was also up there on my, "I wanna see more."

Players attitude or demeanor was never an issue because I played Hardcore and you can't really talk shit when you are permanently dead.

There will be a lot of people that enjoy this game. The story line and game play, are both way more intense than Kotor I and II. The only issues that are still being ironed out is the engine has some huge issues with dual proc's and mass crashes with certain Radeon cards.
All elements are fixable.. Launch is guesstimated at a year or so away..

No. But I have worked with a few developing companies and shared some insight on this site. Granted I don't think I have ever broken any of my contracts, I rather play safe as far as my identity goes.
