LoL i'm too shy for some of these contests, and no way i would dress myself like a character, honestly i think that is dumb.
Well, in every Blizzard gamer there is a level of 'geekness'. Here, this graph illustrates the levels of geekness.
0---1---2---3---4---5...
0: Knowing Blizzard or their pruducts
1: Playing Blizzard product(s)
2: In this level you are considered a 'fan' of Blizzard's product(s) by liking/playing alot.
3: Doing anything related to Blizzard product's beyond playing (fan art, forum discussion etc.)
4: Buying overpriced action figures, books, posters or T-shirts related to Blizzard product(s)
5: Attaining BlizzCon and embarrassing yourself by wearing exaggerated costumes, dancing and singing about Blizzard products.
I'd put you in level 3 unless you buy stuff, then you're 4 ^^
I was looking at all the prizes, and i read the costume one last being that its the least likely contest i would ever consider entering, and this cracked me up:
# First Prize. One (1) qualified entrant will be chosen by Sponsor as the “First Prize Winner” and will receive a prize package consisting of one (1) full sized 47” limited edition Frostmourne™ replica sword created by Epic Weapons Inc., two (2) ATI Radeon HD 4870x2 video cards, and one (1) DirecTV Sat-Go Z11 with a combined approximate retail value of $1,879.00.
Runner-up Prizes. Two (2) qualified entrant(s) will be chosen by Sponsor as “Runners Up,” and shall each receive one (1) Alienware®Area-51® m15x notebook, and one (1) ATI Radeon HD 4870x2 video card with an approximate retail value of $2,500.00.
LOL I would hate to get first place and miss out on the area51 that 2nd and 3rd got.

Wow, no kidding.. who the hell cares about a giant sword? Well I mean that's cool and all but compared to entire computer? I don't see why Runner up Prizes would be worth more than the grand prize, that seems a bit backwards... Grand should come with the Notebook too
lol...i would go and dressup as a barbarian. lol. (no i wont) but i would like to see some diablo chars dressed up instead of them being 80% warcraft and 20%starcraft. lol come on witchdoctor and barbarian costumes.
I like watching the contests, because it's really funny and people are just having a good time doing what they think is cool or just plain old stupid. If I were to ever go to BlizzCon, I think I would dress up as either Cain or a terrain marine with the big armor lol.

I like the life I lived, because I went from negative to positive.
You know very well who you are, don't let them hold you down, reach for the stars.

Yeah, really. Why is the second and third place prize worth more than the first place prize?
I'd rather have a giant fucking sword than alienware laptop, tbh. Whats wrong with you guys!?!? would you not like the idea of chopping heads off in one swoop with a 47" sword!? (well, you'd have to sharpen it first and reinforce hilt but worth the effort) You could sell the other gpu and directv thing to get crap alienware.
And i figure since its a blizzard contest, the winner would WANT something like the frostmourne. Its the thought that counts, not the $amount.
Anyways, im still opted in for tickets... did they give them away yet?
The only way I'd join the costume contest is by spending hours in our backyard doing nothing but drinking beer, and if i manage to drive to blizzcon, I'd go in as Farnham the Drunk.

To find the truth, you must risk everything.
2 ATI Radeon HD 4870x2 as a prize is great!! (dont care abot the frostmourne xD)
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.

I'd be in character, minus the shame.
