Well King Leoric settled in Tristram and the Cathedral was once a great and vast building of the highest standard made by the Horadrim, but by the time Leoric came to Tristram is had fallen into ruin. He rebuilt it to its former glory and made it his seat of power though.
So basically what you're saying is that The little church we saw in D1 is in fact only a part of a big monastery about as big as the Rogue's... or are the church and the cathedral two separate buildings?
I got a question that maybe someone can actually answer.
Leoric was a king but did he even had a castle?
I haven't read anything canon about this, but I heard that the Cathedral of Tristram was actually the place where he lived though that sounds kind of odd.
Hmm says there are from the East of Kehjan. Noesn't really list a name, or give that much detail at all. Didn't seem like there is much to the east of Kehjan. Or am I thinking of Kehjastan.
That's another question, is Kehjan the same as Kehjastan, or a place therein?
Kehjan was the greatest city in Uldyssian's time and it was probably located south to Kurast. The East of Kehjan seems to be either the region of Viz-Jun or the Swamp Lands in the current map.
Note that after a thousand years it is also possible that they these people have migrated to another region of the world maybe that new island known as Xiansai.
EDIT: Weird just noticed that Xiansai was on the map in D2 manual, it was just uncharted.
Weird. Is your book approximately the size of a piece of paper? Or is it half the size of a piece of paper?
Well it's a bit less than half the size of a piece of paper, but if you're still looking for it, it should start right after the shrine and wells in the item section.

Question: Knaak mentions people in the sin war that look asian. Did he say which part of sanctuary they come from?
Really? This sounds familiar for some reason. Can you tell me what page and what book?
To answer your question I highly doubt that he did, I usually notice that kind of things.
In Act3, the 3 brothers summon the gate to Hell , Marius is 50 yards away with Baal's soulstone , isnt that weird none can sense it lol .
Later Baal finds Marius in the asylum , how did baal find him ? the connection between him and the soulstone helped him for sure.
Whats ure thought about this?

It is weird, yes. Its really just a plot device that has no real answer, unfortunately.
I always thought that the Three were just too focused on creating the gate to Hell to pay him any attention.
Either that or they let him watched the whole scene just for the pleasure of making him go insane.
Well, then since we don't know exactly where the Worldstone came from or how it was created we can't really know if Izual knew more than Tyrael, but since this is amongst the highest secret of Heaven, it's a safe bet to say that the Angiris Council knew more than the rest of the Angels.
While being at it, can anyone remember me how Inarius got the Worldstone, I think he stole it from the place of creation or something.
My Lore is a little rusty (a shame i know), but I forget if it is clear that Tyrael knew as much about the Soulstones as Izual did. Izual clearly knew a lot. Afterall it was he who told the Prime Evils about the nature of the soulstones.
Tyrael is an archangel and was officially the superior of Izual, so I guess that we can assume that he knew at least as much if not more so than him.
mhmmm u might wanna read the Sin war novels on that, i got it from the wiki
I've read the Sin War and I can certify you that this information is legit (I'm not absolutely certain about the graphical description of some Angels though, if you really want you can alway ask Atrumentis yourself as he is the one who wrote this page as far as I know).
Only one thing, Izual and Hadriel are simply angels, they aren't archangels like tyrael.
Btw, Yaerius is the one who would have indirectly founded the Zakarum Church
In ages past, the Archangel Yaerius visited a young ascetic named Akarat and revealed to him the tenets of what was to become the religion of Zakarum. These teachings stressed the necessity of resisting all things evil, and embracing, with total devotion, the Light. The angel appointed Akarat to be the prophet of these new teachings, and bade him take the word to the people of all lands. This new religion spoke directly to the common man, and the people of Kurast embraced it.

They're spirits. The game involves magic and the occult, which can't be proven or disproven to exist, but, by its very nature, the occult does not conform to science (as in the spiritual occult.) So, to try and figure it out scientifically is fruitless and vain. Just accept it as what it is- a thing that you're not supposed to understand, just to be freaked out by its abnormality and existence
And, it's a fantasy game. It doesn't have to make sense. Not sure if this is lore-related, but I figured I'd throw my two cents in.
I already have my own theory on the matter, I just wanted to know some extra opinions on this strange process. I know it can't be proven, but it still fun to think that it would be possible.
Question (or rather inquiry): There are five archangels including Tyrael, what do we know about them?
Apparently written by Atrumentis himself on diablowiki
Auriel
Female. Robes of soft blue. Her nature is sympathetic, and she defends the existence of Sanctuary.
Imperius
Male. Robes of royal red with a shining breastplate upon which the image of an upturned sword blazes. His nature is fierce, and he thinks that Sanctuary should be destroyed. Likely the Archangel of War.
Ithrael
Gray-clad angel. This Archangel is naturally neutral, being neither male nor female in aspect.
Malthael
Male. Gaunt figure whose robes and breastplate are black. Likely to be the Archangel of Death.
Tyrael
Male. Archangel of Justice. He likes to directly get involved with the affairs of Sanctuary, even against the wishes of the Council.
[edit] Previous Members
Inarius
Male. Tired of fighting the eternal wars of the Great Conflict, he left the Council and the High Heavens to create Sanctuary.
Ghosts can see, so why couldn't a skeleton that's possessed by a ghost.
Lol,
Well technically, skeletons (just like most undeads) are golems made of bone and flesh possessed by evil spirits, so by definition a skeleton is already a creature possessed by a ghost. If they weren't they couldn't move, see or do anything.
The real question is, how the hell is it physically possible for ghosts to see???
Common there just need to a be a scientific explanation to it.
There's not specific lore about this, but I think that's because of the spell that Tyrael cast on the stone that hold Tal Rasha prisoner.
I believe it safe to simply say that by removing the Soulstone out of Tal Rasha's chest, Marius must have distrupted the spell hallowing Baal/Tal Rasha to escape.
You could say that the essence Baal was spread in two halves, one half in Tal Rasha and the rest inside the Soulstone, that's why he needed it back.

Yeah, but what is eternity if you can put an end to it
Besides the fact that Diablo took ideas from Christianity, how is the cross related to the Zakarum and the angels?
So basically what you're saying is that The little church we saw in D1 is in fact only a part of a big monastery about as big as the Rogue's... or are the church and the cathedral two separate buildings?
I'm confused

I have the original manual and it actually starts at the bottom of page 104.
He also makes a brief appearance in Legacy of Blood... err at least I think it was him.
While being at it, can anyone remember me how Inarius got the Worldstone, I think he stole it from the place of creation or something.

So does anyone have an idea on how monsters without eyes such as skeletons and wraiths do to see things?
Can a spirit really see, hear, touch, smell, taste or even think despite the fact that he is made of err whatever a spirit is made of?
