Unless by zone you mean realm, as in you both have it set to say US West, but in either case since it doesn't go through battle.net it shouldn't matter.
My realm was defaulted to US West and Ive played TCP/IP games with people in East and Europe.

I hardly spend time playing games (the only games I play are the Diablo ones). Instead, my time is spent drawing or other similar art projects that pretty much all revolve around Sanctuary or this forum (Deeha'Blothri). Does that count as playing the game? lol. Because, if there are/will be strict rules on gameplay, then I would fail.
I am somewhat in that same boat, I tend to have some sort of project running in the background, be it an RP thread or the novel. But I do try play the games as much as I can.
Forum wise your activity cannot be denied, though you will have to increase your in game activity. Don't have to go over board or anything, but do try, there is usually, depending on time zones, someone to help you with a dungeon, rush or quest. Or to just pass on some items to you.

That depends, if you were to scrap together a few hours a week on the games, you would be fine. So long as you inform people of your decreased activity.
I play WOW mostly now, so you probably won't see my much on LOD anymore, if at all. Kinda busy this week, so I don't know how much WOWing I'll get done, If you see me on WOW, I'd appreciate the company. It's lonely soloing.

If the site changes colours, and you can do that now yourself, but I mean offically, to something more gothic and diabl-esque, that will kill your desert theory.

So, clearly the winds only travel east, because the Twin Seas seem to supply Kehjan with heaps of rain, but not Aranoch on the other side of it.
That's not entirely true. Primarily though yes. Deserts are formed by winds with little to no moisture. This is most commonly the result of winds traveling over a mountain or large hill, or from just travelling long distances over land with little to no water to remoisten itself, say coming downwards from the north or heading north east from Dun Craig.
Kehjistan is wet because the sea breezes dump their payload going over Nymyr. The mountain ranges east of Tristram are probably not quite as high as Nymyr, thus the winds don't have to drop as much moisture to rise over them, therefore Tristram is not as wet as Kurast.
Hmm, if Deeha'Blothri is just south of the snowy mountains, is it possible that at certains times of the year the snow gets so intense that it extends down a little farther to Deeha'Blothri?
Yes. Depending on how far south it is, yes it would be possible for it to snow, too far south an it will not be cold enough. It doesn't snow in Tristram. Altitude also places a part. The higher you are, the colder it is. You can usually tell if it will snow in an area by the "tree line", that is the line above which no tree will grow.
Where I live is a little whiles north of a snowy mountain (New Zealand is in the Southern Hemisphere so everything is reversed, don't believe me, ring someone in Australia (next to New Zealand) their toilet will flush in the opposite direction, it's called the corrisalis effect). Most of the winter it is just too warm to snow here, water will freeze over, but not enough to skate on, but occassionally it drops low enough for it to snow.
I would need to check the facts (lore/books/Solomir) but I think that river under the word Entsteig is pretty close to the cut off point. Any further south than that and it wouldn't snow very often.
It's always epic to have an army march through snow laden tundras. Though more often than not it leads to disaster, but that is primarily due to people not used to said conditions. Napolean's troops were not used to the snow, while the Russians he was fighting were experienced in said terrain.
If Deeha'Blothri, and thus SICK is in a snowy area, or close to one they would be well adapted to marching/living in those conditions. Though they might not do quite so well marching through the deserts of Aranoch, or the jungles of Kehjistan.

Strange that Aranoch should exist there too, but, oh well.
Aranoch is a desert because of the mountain ranges to the West of Lut Gohlein. As winds blow over those mountains from the west, they create an arid environment on the eastern side of the mountains. The winds and rain clouds are laden with moisture, but to get over the mountains the have to "dump" their load to be light enough to rise over them, when they come down the other side, they have little to no moisture, they are basically just wind, wind that will strip trees bare.
The map of Sanctuary gives no indication of an equator, it's entiely possible the land mass shown is a northern continent. It seems far to small to be the whole continent.
The only thing we know for sure is it snows in Sescheron, it hardly rains in Aranoch, and falls in abundance in Kehjistan.
Course it does raise a few questions. If the above map does not show the whole of Sanctuary (and if you look the the far right, it's evident it doesn't), then wouldn't some one like Meshif or other merchant sailors be away of other land masses.
But considering the time period in which Diablo is set, it is understandable. In the Dark Ages - Medieval days, few people from western society had any knowledge that the Americas or the Pacific countries even existed. They were pretty content trading within their country or continent, or neighbouring one. It wasn't really until urbanization and over population forced people to explore.
You know what's just great about all this.
I get promoted when I'm not here.

Unofficially, I believe it to be Immigrant Song. After all the mergings and redesigns, talk about theme songs dissappeared, But Immigrant Song held the greatest standing. Prehaps it is time to revisit this. Unless everyone is happy with Immigrant song.
On a side note, Atrumentis, if your around, you might want to make note of the fact, if our theme song is Immigrant song, that would mean we, as depicted in said song, 'come from the land of the ice and snow' so that would mean it would snow (to some degree) in Deeha'Blothri.

Have you ever considered asking Umaru or whoever to put a few more forums up for SICK in the forums list for more organization? Currently every single thing imaginable is posted under the SICK Forums, and one has to do a lot of sifting to find specific threads some times. It gets very annoying. I'm suggesting a forum for clan politics issues and new SICK members, a forum for all of the RP you guys do, and of course an off topic section specifically for SICK. That, or you could use a phpbb site like freeforums.org or something, which would give you more control and would accurately display members' clan ranks under their posting names if it is set up right, as well as freedom to make a complete SICK forum site. Just some thoughts.
Asking Umaro about something can prove to be as fruitful as trying to get blood from a stone.
He has also ask that I not mess with anything around here, Fairly sure that includes the creation of new sub forums, depsite the need for them. Will try ask again, but don't go holding your breath or anything.
Once again, I am in agreement with Winston. I also feel that the legionnaires should also have a say, or be allowed to vote on some of the things that go on within the guild. Or else this is just a bunch of people being where they don't want to be and possibly with rules they don't want to follow and then we will eventually end up back to square one.
Again that would be much easier if all of us were in one place at the same time in real time. I hate the speed of PMs. I much rather the speed and multiple inputs of IM/IRC.

What we really need is to have every single member or at least the majority of them, Higher ups or not all come together in one MSN or AIM chatroom, or possible the IRC chatroom ( i think it still works), and as a guild in real time work stuff out. The higher ups do it as much as we can, everytime the top four are all online we try get a chatroom going dicussing the guild. Though generally the stuff is essentually privileged until it is made public, however the concept doesn't need to be a restrictive one.
All of us in one room will allow the Legionnaires and Decurions a chance to speak. Something they have often been denied. Not through anyone fault, well not intentionally. Their concerns have often been merely overlooked for something else with a much higher priority.

Okay, so what Centurion and am I the right hand man to? Zubin? Darkjay? etc.
What squad is Cali in charge of? Bambi? Stormcat?
And what does being the "right hand man" consist of? What are our responsibilities? What does being "in charge of" consist of? Do they have complete control of the group, or are their powers limited?
I could go on and on. None of the questions are answered. So council, please answer them.
some of the answers are assumed, thus not given. The Pilus Prior helps make the running of the Centuriae go smoothly. Making sure people are staying in line, moral is high, that no one is cheating (to the best of their ability). And almost any duty their regular army equivalent would do, within reason.
New changes have been made, yes, and were I not so busy today I would devote the entire day to explaining exactly what the rights and roles of each rank are. I hope to get started on it tomorrow.

In the old system, they had specific people they were supposed to keep in line because we were in legions, they could offer advice and participate in legion decisions, they could also keep the legion under control while other officers of the legion were not there. Now they can not do any of those because of the combining of legions. Though the combining is a good thing, I DEMAND that you give the lower officers some power, as soon as possible. If you say that I'm executing my right as a Pilus Prior right now, you're wrong. Anyother legionaire could be writing the same thing.
Decurions still hold most of their same power. They are still squad leaders. We just have less squads. The Pilus Prior still serves as right hand man to a Centurion, we just have less of them.
Aren't decurions supposed to take 10 legionaires as their "troops" and lead them?
Yea, so let's see that happen. Or at least something happen.
In theory yes, in practicality, we don't have enough men.
