I hate downloading big patches and mods on 56k. Takes forever. 56k is all I have right now.
It's no so bad when actually playing the game, just downloading huge files.

An interesting prospect. And downloading huge "modifications" is certainly not beyond me, I do after all play WOW, those patches can get pretty big, but I am still on 56k here. I don't like the wait. I'll consider it when Broadband is up and running in my new house.
Still we should actively continue to play "classic", that is to say the unmodded version of the game. A slightly better chance of all of us, or prehaps most of us playing together, so people are generally, for whatever reason, opposed to huge downloads.

just outta curiosity, why was winston removed from pilus prior again? is he still gone from the forums? or did he just quit sick?
He got promted, then left. Or left then got promoted. I never can remember.
so what happened to those promotions?
Like many things here, they have been corrupted by the evil that is inactivity. Being here as long as I have I should see it coming, but each time it strikes it's like a thousands needles in my heart.
Need to work on reviving some activity in old members, or alternatively, recruit some new ones. I tried to invoke a discussion on the latter, but it seems the thread has fallen into disrepair.

You left again? I thought you came back when the promotion was declared. But like I stated above, my attention to the goings on here has been somewhat deminished as of late.

Ok So this is incredibly rough, and doesn't account for daylight savings as it is fixed numbers, it'd also really old, some pople on there need to be replaced with more active people, but here is a rough gauging on time.
Anyone familiar with a program that could do what this spreadsheet does, only it automatically updates.
some sort of thing hwere you issue a command and it displays the time zones for all the users who's data you entered.
I remember someone had a go at it once but they couldn't get it to work properly or they just become inactive.

Tomorrow hopefully, but I wouldn't hold my breath, otherwise it might have to be next week end. I'm not sure how my week days will look. Not good I would imagine.

Two people have resigned since, but are still on it for your information.
Which two? I could only find onw, Maverek, Magistrate asked he be reinstated.
And some of us have been busier than we would like. I am not here as much as I would like, I cleared missed that.

Last I checked it was pretty much up to date. It was just missing any applications from page 3 of the sign up thread, that held legimate standings. I didn't look that closely into it, but some of the applications on page 3 cannot be offically processed until the users fulfill the entry requirements.

I am fine with switching back to softcore, in order to have a better chance of this thing working, not everyone is a fan of Hardcore.

Well that would make it 4, assuming all can make it. Nice.
Hope my work load this weekend is minimal. As rare as that may be.

I might be on this weekend. But of course some of my free time will be devoted to WOW.
We should all hit each other up on xfire/MSN/AIM to try get the maximum number of players. While I don't foresee a full 8, it would be nice to see 4 or 5 of us.
Silver, Atrumentis, myself, that's have way.

I'm fine with LOD. I find myself playing on 56k a lot, so downloading mods or games is not something I really want to do a lot of, I have eough trouble with updates (mostly WOW) as it is.
Course if we go with LOD, we still have the Hardcore/Softcore issue. Realm is not a problem, US WEST. That's right I am making a proclamation on that one. I'm not having us be divided over realm like with WOW. All on one server.

but yes a poll would work. We could have a nomination thread and select the 5-10 games that get listed the most
No one has made this poll yet? Must I do everything?
Ferret was on a few minutes ago, he was in the Mod section.

I think we should all, or mostly agree on a single game to get us united and organized in once again, a poll would be very nice, maybe put up a nomination thread to get some game ideas, and maybe even have two rounds of voting.
I am fine with voting, and I'm sure others will like the idea too, the problem is for those of us not fond of the idea of dumping our WOW or LOD chars to start up another game we may have to go out and Buy.
I just started WOW, and I'm liking it, I don't really want to dump al lthat to start playing Age of Conan (a game I would have to go out and buy) for example.
Also two P2P MMOs, not big on that idea. Not without one of them being Diablo related.
