the moment HD DVD lost to Blu-Ray, is the moment PS3 is finally the victor. the 360's sales will drop and the ps3 will over take the sales in 2009. xbox360's futre looks grim and i'm loving it.

360 has plenty of life left in it, remember theres, fable 2, gow2, possibly more halo games, but you also have to realize, it will take awhile for the ps3 to catch up to the 360 in overall sales

That's a pretty lame assessment right there. What makes you think that Sony's high definition standard is going to ensure that they create better games than ones for Xbox? And why are you loving it? I get so tired of people who love a thing just for the sake of loving it. I have an Xbox 360 and I really enjoy it. This doesn't mean I have anything against the PS3. Why the hell would I? Maybe it's not the console for me but that doesn't mean I'm gonna contrive bogus theories on how maybe it is failing in the market, then say how much I'm all excited over it. I believe you are what goodguy would call a PS3 fanboy.
ugggg how many times do i have to say it, the wii is going to come out on top:D
Ok ontopic, that is preety stupid, there gaming systems not just dvd players, your saying because one lost on the dvd front, that it's going to ruin the whole thing? * facepalm *
I'm not fighting here cause I really don't care what xbox and ps3 have and don't have (I have a ps3, however lol), but isn't Playstation's project "Home" supposed to kill xbox online? Not starting a fight its just what I had heard, I don't even know much about it.
It may be free but its garbage compared to my $5 a month Xbox Live.
Facts please.

That's what I've read, but only time will tell. It's supposed to be free, too.
You know what's funny? So far I have only 1 game for my PS3- The Orange Box. I'm waiting on Little Big Planet, Final Fantasy XII: Versus/ Final Fantasy XIII, Portal II, and some other things that aren't coming out until this fall/winter. I've had the thing for half a year now. Oh well, it'll be worth it, imo.

Haha really?! One game? Geese, there are a few must play exclusives, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is quite a good story.. Good rent, not worth buying (Like I did) You can beat it in a couple days, but its extremely fun and the story just keeps you playing. (Its only rated T, but it definatly isn't a kid's only game)
Also.. Resistance: Fall of Man, and Metal Gear Solid is worth renting :D, I'm sure you've probably already rented or played these games just saying, haha.
But from what I know about home.. I think it will definatly compete with xbox's online.
Yeah, that had no stable facts in it. It only offered things like "Xbox Live is better because you have to pay to play games online with gold membership and communication is free" and "PSN's store is nice because it's more like a webpage"; PSN has both gameplay and communication for free and offers the PSN store, which can be used to buy tons of PS1 games as well as some low-profile newer games, which Xbox Live does not. That link didn't help you at all, I don't believe.
Edit--
On another note, I'm not dumb enough to say that the Xbox 360 sucks or anything, because it's a good basic system. The main thing that is helping it along at the moment is its array of games, which is substantial to the only recently released PS3's. The actual PS3 system is superior in design and functionality, but it is lacking games that are good (it only has a very select few.) However, comparing games that a specific system can play exclusively is not comparing the system itself.
At any rate, I'm playing Halo 3 with my little brother and my best friend as I type this (I'm waiting on a game to fill up so we can start playing), and I'll tell you that it's about the only FPS I like. Given, once my games come out I will never let my little brother's 360 even touch my HDTV again, but at the moment it's fun.

Shows how much you know lol. Xbox live does have a store where you can buy xbox games and arcade games and its MUCH beefier than psn's. We can also buy movies avatars wall papers I could go on and on.
You seem to have misinterpreted that part of my post. I was referring to accessibility, layout, functionality, and content based on this section of the article:
“I like their store. It’s different… It’s more like being on a web page so to me... visually its familiar.”
“I think the original PS1 games. I think bringing those back makes sense, it’s in their library.”
its MUCH beefier than psn's
Compile an actual list of everything available on both systems' online stores (currently) and I'll compare it based on that (or provide a link to a comparison, please.)

Edit: yea just realized im over 500 post!
Making Controversial points one post at a time!
The PS3 is free online- what are you basing this on?
And yeah, this thread is unnecessary. It should be in that console poll.
