Last night I ended up playing a drunken game of SKATE with a few kids at a party. I wasn't aware skating was a party activity. Worked out nicely.

So if you were asked if you were a model, that would be a compliment... o.O
sort of, its a somewhat new term for a somewhat new phenomenon on social media that involves "statuses."
basically, its a way to let others (subscribers) know how important/good looking/talented you are while not appearing to be blatantly egotistical. so you begin by stating the comment, and then subduing ego with a quick follow-up that makes the entire statement sound a bit more subdued and unaware.
in my example, i clearly want you to think (and thus i think) that i am pretty enough to be a model, but i dont want to state this, so when someone says it to me, i quickly twitter it out there and add the humbling statement, "im too short, weird." which makes it a complete humblebrag.
other notable cases include name-dropping and oh-im-so-shocked-but-i-knew-it-all-along type feeds.
LOL Man Men...someones a closeted man men.

Nothing More Corny That Being In A Magazine And The Whole Concept Is 'The New Face Of Hip Hop' With Some Other Rappers You Dont Really Like
in it, he clearly wants you to know that he is part of the new face of hip hop, quite a prestigious title, while saying that he might not see eye-to-eye with some other members of said list. even though, im sure he respects them all the same and is delighted to be on the mag.
theres a twitter specially for them, i love reading it.

That makes absolutely no sense.
It drives me insane when people beat around the bush like that. If you are proud, be proud, if you are egotistical, be egotistical, if you are humble, be humble, just be what you are.
Grrr.
Edit: I mean, I understand what you are saying. I just think it's stupid. Clarification before confusing ftw!

i hate it when people claim to be a "hot girl" either in WoW, d2, or forums like this. the possibility of a hot girl actually so involved in gaming that she would post in forums or be obsessed and play wow everyday is so astronomically high. i honestly dont believe there is ANY, let alone a certain percentage.
while games can be enjoyed by all types of people of different origins, backgrounds, races, gender, personality. i just dont see very attractive girls playing these extremely nerd type games. i saw an interview of mila kunis claiming she played wow, i for one think thats bull shit and she got coached by a nerd on what to say so that she would get more attention, not that nerds dont already wack off to her face enough. but believe a movie star has time to play wow and raid? lolwut
i have come across far too many of these people claiming this, and everytime i say "prove it, take a pic of yourself holding a sign of something i tell you to write" and every time the subject changes, they log out, or just some absurdly lame excuse. and it angers me that alot of other retarded people believe this and flirt with them and its so nuts. i had this "hot girl" in my guild in wow and everyone worshiped "her" without any real proof. just wish everyone wasnt so gullable.
