i know its the 24 inch antiglare flat panel LED.. the contrast ratio is 12,000,000:1
That's the exact same as mine then. But I think mine is 23 inches. I'm saving up for the other Acer one that is 27 inches. I think they're pretty good monitors. I kind of hate the controls on them for adjusting the brightness and contrast though.
Ya i love this monitor.. by far my favorite monitor i have owned and i have owned multiple samsungs, a couple dells and some other ones... im tempted to get another monitor so i can game on one while having webpages, music etc so i dont have to alt tab lol
just got a pc w a geforce gt530. im not familiar with geforce and was wondering if somebody could tell me how good this card is.. is it equivelant to a 5770hd?
i used to have a intel core2 quad 9300 2.5ghz 4gb ram. ati 5770hd,620gig hd
i just ordered an
XPS 8300 Intel Core i7-2600 processor(8MB Cache, 3.4GHz
12GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHZ
Nvidia Geforce gt530
2TB Serial ATA 2 Hard Drive 7200 RPM
will the vid card bottleneck me and make it worse than my last pc?
i game pretty hard and like to run everything on max.. my previous pc did that but w skyrim coming up i thought id need to update.
looks like it already was picked up to ship, so may just have to deal with it for now. either way im betting it will run d3 maxed out with ease and thats mostly what i care about.

okay, so the pc i bought has a few problems. the vid card and the power supply. i have done much research and heard diff results.. here's what i need help with...
it comes with a 460w powersupply and a gt530, both not what i need to max games..
i have heard ppl say that this pc can update to a gtx550ti on this power supply and run fine.. but also that is as high as i can go with the graphics card update not only due to the pcu but also nothing higher will fit in the pc. is this true? i dont kno enough about systems.also the 6870 would work i guess but would it work on the stock pcu or would i need a higher one.
im looking for compatability/updating advice. i pretty much want to be ale to max games, what should i get? i was thinking the gtx550ti alone and use the current power supply. or update that card and also get a new pcu though what one i dont know. or should i get other vid card all together? i could be wrong but i dont think the gt530 is going to cut it:/ thanks if i can get some advice

Yaa im pretty sure you wont be able to play D3 on max settings with that setup and a 460w power wont allow for much upgrading if any at all.. unless you purchase another PS.. as for the video card i would say its low to mid teir at best.. but u should be able to play most games on medium setting i would guess

ZOMG I am sooo excited!! HP rocks and is the only compony that had the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 available (besides Alienware, but they rip you off).
Oh and it was 1,600 w/o monitor, but free xbox360
Nice looking computer but man u could have built something just as good for alot less... but regardless that should last u awhile... although i would watch out with that 600w power-supply. also does it just have a stock cpu cooler... if so thats another thing to watch out for
before i learned how to build my own setup ( which is very easy btw ) i bought a couple main stream brand desktops and always had problems w/ the power-supplys and stock cpu cooler.. one was HP to lol
You mean the 600W will be too hot? I thought about building my own, but I was really scared about it because when I was little I watched my cousin do it and the computer never worked haha, it kept overheating I think? Anyway, Is there anything I can do to help cool it off?
think is when u buy a desktop from a manufacture u not suppose to open case or its breaks your warranty... otherwise i would say open up the case and maybe add a fan or 2.. make sure there is push and pull airflow
This is my sons, there was no way I could get myself a new machine without getting him a matching one too. Note of caution to those who aspire to become a parent

You aren't going to be able to build that computer for less than 1600 no matter how hard you try. Sure, you'd get the exact parts you want, but after it's all said and done, it'll be more than 1600.
I don't remember the exact model numbers from the parts, but this should at least give a general idea.
Case: Antec 1200
PSU: Corsair 950W
MB: Gigabyte G1.Sniper (Bigfoot Killer NIC + SB X-Fi onboard)
CPU: Intel Core i7 960 @ 3.2GHz (not currently overclocked)
MEM: Corsair Dominator 6GB DDR3-1600MHz Triple-Channel
GFX: Gigabyte Super-Overclock Series, GeForce GTX 470 w/ 1280MB
SSD: Crucial 128GB SATA3 (approx 132MB/s read & 125MB/s write ... as far as I remember, could be off)
HDD: WD 2TB USB3 External (transfer of 32GB file from SSD to this drive was about 90MB/s)
OPT: LG Blu-Ray Recorder w/ Lightscribe (can't remember Speed)
OPT: LG DVD Recorder (speed doesn't really matter here anymore)
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 OEM
Currently playing The Witcher 2 @ 1360x768 on Ultra near flawlessly. Can't say exact framerates because I don't have fraps installed but, again, near perfect. I think I'll be set for D3.

Nice ride, personally I cheated by dumping my specs with Belarc, I wasn't about to type all that action out
Haha, posting from work so I was forced to type it all out. Ended up spending a bit more than I wanted to on it (built it back in March), but it was insurance money so I didn't really care.
I had my rig custom built by some one about 2 1/2 years ago now. I am NOT super knowledgeable about such things, but I can install / make changes to the hardware with out much problem. My concern right now is that I want my PC to be able to HUM when running Diablo 3. I know I can run it with what I have, but I would probably need to run it on medium setting with my GTS 250 to avoid slow down / hicups.
So I am hoping for someone to help me out, and tell me what I should change to be able to not worry about any slowdown when a million zombies are on the screen.
Heres my sepcs from the Beta page (I'm at work)
Operating System:
Windows 2.6.1.7600

CPU Speed:

I am assuming the quickest / easiest thing to change is to grab a new Geforce and maybe more System Memory?
Any suggestions on what I should go for would be appriciated!!
I have a question about CPUs. I don't know much about the inside of a computer so when it comes to comparing CPUs, Video Cards, etc i'm dumb founded. So if a game requires a Intel core 2 Duo or Equivalent AMD as a minimum requirement, will a AMD Sempron 145 work?
==Side Note==
is there a site that compares CPUs so i can look it up myself for the future.
