As for the new board and RAM you've got picked out, don't get DDR2 RAM. The stuff is old and outdated with really slow speeds. You want something that will play games for at least a couple years before you need to upgrade again.
Lol upgrade... heh, man my computer in it's current state will take a long time to be the minimum specs on anything, and I don't mind sacrificing every graphics slider and resolution allowable to be able to play a game as it's what I've been doing for years and years and years.
It's been so long since I've had a dedicated graphics card that the 4650 seemed like a huge huge huge upgrade, even though in fact it's not a good card.
The thing about the ddr2 ram is that I can get 4gbs of it for way under half the price of your ram that you've recommended (thus saving me money's). Though I do love the look of your recommended psu! Gonna edit the OP and see what I can get that psu for.
EDIT: Also you have to admit that with all the stuff I've got 'free' with this computer I'm definitely gonna get a decent rig out of it.

Well the OP is updated with almost my final rig, just the motherboard now comes into question as I've just measured my box. Idk about you but it seems huge!
Good site, I know it's all online, but still, Aus pricing is the main thing.
Gonna have to read a lot of reviews on motherboards now, I shall return from the netherworld soon.
Thanks for all your help guys!
Also I've decided to go a little overbudget to get a cooling solution so I need a cheap one that will better than the stock one... hard to tell when I don't yet know how good the stock one is.
