I know we have a couple of threads about the remaining classes but I was wondering about lore, more specifically where will they come from. I don't care what type of class but I want guesses on where their origins will be.
One of the classes has to be from kehjistan. It's a huge empire and a character has to come from their.
I am unsure of the last class. The entire north east of the map is unused so far but this is where the druids come from and there will not be a returning druid, at least not yet. The WD has the southern part covered. There are the skovos isles but this is where the amazons are from and like I said earlier, no returning classes. Xian Sai is covered by the wizard. I doubt if anyhting is coming form the dreadlands and the barb already has old mt arreat covered. This leaves pretty much the west side of the map or more noticebaly Westmarch. Possibly even a younger character who has been raised in New Tristram.
So long story short my guesses are Kehjistan/Caldeum and Westmarch/New Tristram

would be kinda cool if there was a "dark" character from dreadlands but it has only been 20 years since it existed and why would anyone live there. Maybe a cool "dark knight" or warlock type character in an expansion.
WD is from the torajan jungles which is part of the marshlands like kurast
Yea lut gholein would be an obvious choice.

yea dreadlands is basically new arreat summit. when it exploded it created the dreadlands, at least as I beleive it to be, basically its ruins and dead stuff where monsters might still inhabit.
Edit:
just looked it up:
taken from diablo wikia "Dreadlands is what became from broad uplands and mountains of the lands of Barbaric Tribes. Destruction of the Worldstone wasted these lands and whole Arreat Mountain dissapeared leaving a giant crater behind. While it is still home of barbarians, it is unknown what new creatures can be found here, after death of this lands."

I know that we can all agree that without the core essential storyline lore behind each character it would feel as if you were playing as a character with no substance. So with that said, where ever they decide to derive the remaining characters from hopefully it is a place with rich history and a good story lore behind it.
Damn, sounds pretty badass.
Only character class I can see coming out of there is a warped Barbarian, possibly even a demon hunter style class, sounds like the dreadlands would draw demon/profane hunters like fat kids on smarties.
Sounds like it would be a great place to encounter a warped, evil barbarian though. Not exactly a playable class, but more of a boss. So I guess it still counts as a class, per se ^^.

Agreed, I'd love a character from there.
Anyone else feeling the classic warrior class ?
Could be more focused on weapon mastery/overall skill, instead of brute force and primal powers like the barbarian.

I suppose they could build a warrior class from new Tristram. One of the clear problems with it though would be that it seems that characters story has already been told once before, hence, "Diablo 1" though the warrior from D1 was not from Tristram; he did reside there before and after the first defeat of Diablo for a while. If they were to take another warrior class from Tristram, then they best figure out a way not to make playing that class dejavu as far as the character's storyline goes.
well, the actual warrior was the one who turned into diablo so it couldn't be him. Also new tristram is new, so if a character comes from new tristram he would have more bg story from another place.

There wasn't much individual character story in D1, if I remember correctly.
I'm sure there was lore contained in outside sources, but beyond that, even the developers said to avoid the game if you value storyline.
Of course, we did get story for the warrior after D1...
Though they could say that the new warrior was a local resident, seeking the glory that the previous hero of tristram had attained.

I know he was. He chilled in Tristram for a while then went ape shit slowly but surely and yes, new Tristram is well...new but, if they were to do it, the point I was trying to get across I guess is hopefully it does not come out like recycled content.
of course. I want new faces, new classes, new skills. They have so much to work with it wold be ridiculous to bring back something old. If they would bring a class from new tristram I would like it to be some shifty quick agile character. Maybe growing up near the catherdral has warped his mind or made him slightly crazy.

I can see where your coming from. I agree, it would be cool to have a character that was there to fight the forces of evil but wasn't really right in the mind at the same time. Someone like you said perhaps scarred mentally due to the event that took place in Tristram. Perhaps a relative of one of the slain original NPCs.
As I'm sure this has been said before, but I would love to see a ranged assassin-esque character...maybe from the deserts? I could picture him in the baggy brownish clothing, his face all wrapped up. A quiver and bow slung across his back. He's real stealthy---like he'll creep up behind you and all of a sudden he's got a knife to your throat asking you where you were the night of the 11th. ha.
As well as the classic warrior/knight class...it's archetypal. They have to make him, but blizzard has to do a total overhaul on him. idk what they could do though.

"Hey guys...don't you ever just...fall over...cuz ya know...the world is moving...and you're standing still?"
Pretty much. C'mon. I think that be awesome. Especially if they had a better version of Fade or Cloak of Shadows, where you're pretty much invisible to enemies (maybe they can only see your shadow or something?) and just go up and KAPOW! Dead. B.A.

Oh don't get me wrong Reu, I think you have a quality idea. I just could not help realize the striking resemblance between the character you were describing and the Tusken Raiders from Star Wars.

And I thought that the Witch Doctor already came from Kejistan ?
Either that or I'm getting two jungles mixed up...
Anywho, my guesses would have to be Anaroch (the desert), or Caldeum. Possibly even New Tristram.
