Least Favorite: Itherael. I feel there's too much of an overlap between him and Malthael's domains. They're both presiding over immense knowledge. You could say they acquire it differently, but the difference isn't that great. Malthael is the archangel of Wisdom, and how can one be wise if one cannot to some extent foresee the future? Why else would you even bother with his advice if you didn't think it would offer beneficial tips for the future? Yet the other Angiris clearly do, thus they trust his wisdom can help in determining the future.
So essentially he does the same as Itherael, expect in a less nebulous way. He's also a a bad-ass combatant because of it.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.

It's funny, actually, because some people were thinking Itherael stood for Balance and Malthael for Death...but the Book of Cain kind of said Malthael stands for balance, or oneness, in a way, while Itherael stands for Fate...
What do you think most people feel about Imperius, though?
most favorite Itherael.
why all the hate for Itherael i like how he didn't hate the nephalm eventhough he can't see there fate and voted for sanctuary..
"Itherael is an Angel who remains neutral no matter how biased an argument is. He is a silent thinker and broods over any problem to find out a neutral solution."
least favorite Malthael.
he is too gloomy and dark and i feel he will become insane at some point IDK why.
Favorite: Imperius, excited to see how the story around him unfolds. Total badass.
Least Favorite: Auriel. Too goody, goody for me and even the implied relationship between her and Mephisto in the Sin War made me sick. Although it's probably not canon and was very vague anyways.
Favorite Auriel, because she is the only one who never wanted to kill nephalem, and has been a constant peace maker withing the Angiris council. She's badass and can heal with a whip, or burn enemies with it...
LEast is Imperius, He's always a dick, always on the negative, which is good in some cases, but i just feel hes too dickish.

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
Some dislike the two members who voted to spare Sanctuary (Auriel and Itherael) and some people like Imperius? Some people on other sites seem to really hate on Imperius...and while I really like all five of them, I have to say the results were kind of unexpected...
Personally, though I was really torn between her and Tyrael, my favorite was Auriel as well. Hope, I think, sometimes has far greater purpose and power than Justice, Valor, Wisdom, and even Fate. In the Book of Cain, it is said that Auriel is the "most beloved of all angels" and that she recognizes that conflict is the nature of this "broken universe". While her voting for Sanctuary and her belief in the potential good of all sentient beings is also admirable, what made me choose her most of all is that Auriel is the most likely of the five, I think, to really grasp that existence can be so much more than just killing demons in an eternal war...and that everything, no matter how tainted, deserves at least the chance to prove themselves.
I think her "relationship" with Mephisto, if at all existent, has been seriously exaggerated overboard...but while some people may dislike it, remember that, for better or for worse, it was Angels and Demons together who spawned humanity.
My least favorite with Malthael...primarily because he didn't vote. I mean, who cares if you're going to win at the "end" of all things? I feel like he should have made one choice or another, for humanity or against it...not just sit back and do nothing at all.

My pick is exactly the opposite.
I believe Auriel gives hope to others. That type of person/angel is the best way to end the suffering in the world of Sanctuary. If Uldyssian and the Nephalem had med Auriel during the sin war in a personal matter. They would have felt that Heaven is not an opponent, but an ally. They could have perhaps even made an alliance against hell. As we all know though, things didn't go that way.
Imperius on the other hand reminds me of an overzealous Crusader. He will slay all that is in his way, and will take his allies down with him in the process. Mark my words, his overzealousness will only cause trouble for Heaven and the Nephalem. Additionally, he reminds me of Arthus in Warcraft III. Always angry and lost in his own hatred, and his need to "purify the land". Makes me sick.
Tyreal becuse he is a dedicated to the nephalem, the angels and the outcome of the war. He's more badass than imperious(i find people who fight with staves are pathetic.. get a real weapon) yet he cannot harm anyone who truly posses goodness in them " Nephalem". He's been my favorite character ever since the first time i saw him in the game.
Least favourite is Auriel i feel like she is way to over-rated. Ofcorse Hope is nessasary to the moral but in an eternal war where no one wins? How about she convinces the other angels to have some hope for the nephalem?

Least: Auriel. She has a hollow believe in the potential of everything, which makes her decisions sort of "unpratical". She's futile, like hope.
