Hi guys,
I just got my copy of book of cain today only read a little bit but found a quote that is really intresting
**WARNING MAY CONTAIN A SPOILER**
"....And at the End of Days, Wisdom shall be lost
as Justice falls upon the world of men.
Valor shall turn to Wrath-
and all hope will be swallowed by Despair.
Death, at last, shall spread s wings overall-
as Fate lies shattered forever."
I find this very intreting...if you didnt know....
Imperius, is archangel of valor
Tyreal, is archangel of justice
Auriel, is archangel of hope
Itherael, is archangel of fate
Malthael, is archangel of wisdom
mmm, that is very interesting. "Justice falls on the world of men", sounds like Tyrael coming to get some vengence,
Imperius going crazy mad
sounds about right.
To me this doesn't make me think of the angels becoming evil, but rather coming to earth to purge evil, in a hope quenching, fate has no more meaning because there is no tomorrow, apocalyptic way.

I really like the theory someone else posted, that the quote hope gets swallowed by despair = diablo absorbing Aurial giving him the female look, instead of leah =D Maybe absorbing an angel in the place of azmodon, because well he probably won't be absorbed quietly.

Well, that and the fact diablo uses the curse of anguish, in other words Andariel.

Falls could mean multiple things like falling in power/status, or literally falling as the blue meteor onto new tristram cathedral (which has already been basically proven).
Tyreal falling to earth,
Imperius going crazy mad
Auriel is killed?
ya sorry about spelling fixed it and i knew all that i was meaning the whole thing as like the plan that is the prohicy cain has been talking about all this time not just the part about yreal coming to the real world that is idk but it sure is intresting...cant wait to read more of the book tomorrow
My big question is, how does an angel go missing? Especially an Archangel.
that was my other thought which i believe someone said that maybe diablo asorbs idk but cant wait to find out to me the way he talks in the book makes it sound like leah is more of a key to something (not diablo coming to the world) but something else...maybe its her being "blood related to diablo" has something to do with it not just him coming to sanc threw her maybe its something else we are missing idk but i sure will find out
If you dig around the screenshots on D3's website, youll come across one of your character standing on top of the 'fallen star' which turns out is a man. Doing more digging around datamined info and images, its a safe bet to say that man is Tyrael, seamingly stripped of his wings and other angelic features. "At the end of all things, Justice will fall upon the world of man." So Tyrael falls to Sanctuary. Imperius is the archangel who is against all things demonic, including humanity. So he might go 'mad' and attack the humans. Maybe the Angel of Hope gets captured by the forces of Hell, and the angel of Fate gets killed in the battle of Heaven VS. Hell.

(this build was before D3 launched... looking back on it now - i had no idea what i was doing)
^ Which is what I was suggesting in my post earlier. I wonder which factor drives imperius over the top, though. It could very well be tyrael, I think he may have respected tyrael a good deal in the past.
And of this black soulstone really can take the essence of both demons and angels, what's stopping inarius from coming back into the game/being used. I mean supposedly he's just been sitting around trapped and tortured in hell for some time now. He no doubt feels betrayed by probably everyone in one way or another, though I doubt he will blame himself.

from what it sounds like in the book of cain and the sin wars, he really does not like humans anyway.
^ I don't know what to think anymore. There was another spoiler thread with some picture of a buff looking diablo wearing what appeared to be a halo. Also datamining of diablo using the curse of anguish, in other words possessing the essence of andariel who is also a female demon with long legs.
If you look at more pictures of diablo he doesn't look all that female. He has feminin legs (like a male runner) sure, and kindof a trim midline all the same, but he has extra arms like mephisto's (datamine also shows curse of hatred, destruction, and pain), and his head horns kinda resemble what I remember baal looking like. Andariel and pain are twins so maybe that's why he's not turning into a worthless buff centipede, but he is way more buff in some pictures than others which could be from duriel (pain).
I think you have a good point about lillith, and who knows what exactly is going to happen in act 2/3 and how diablo even manages to come back and if anyone helps him...

not only that at the end of the sneak peek or even at the end of that video that deamon is not diablo that reminds me of lillith and or lord of lies even like you guys said im pretty sure they made diablos raor a destinct sound and that was not it who knows only time will tell...
Ok i was just reading more on the book of cain (amazing read so far btw if you havnt got a copy i suggest getting one) I think theres a little more to this than we think for one i think that this Prophecy is in order meaning everthing that is said will happen in the order (so far with the wisdom will be lost he vanished RIGHT after the destruction of the world stoen then after that justice shall fall on men (which most of use including me believe tyreal is the commet that we see falling) so dose that mean sometime soon in D3 we will see imperius? and the only 2 things i dont get about this quote yet (could have to do with me not even half ay threw the book of cain yet...a working progress...the more i read the more i get sucked in) but i still do not know what death represents? or dispair for that matter? do they maybe means that diablo becomes tathamet? or vis versa? and what dose it mean by swallowed? for auriel? maybe death is for lilith? that or even trang oul? and so far wut happens to itherael? because of wut happens to auriel?
idk what you guys think?
It looks like the heavenly pantheon is coming apart. Perhaps it is part of some cosmic dynamic that demands the Angiris Council's fall from grace in order to balance out the destruction of the Great Evils?
The Arch Angels are being picked off, one by one:
Tyrael's been exiled, his interference on Sanctuary having been discovered. This exile is probably influenced by the corruption of the Angiris Council. He's now mortal.
Imperius, I'd agree, becomes more tyrannical without Tyrael's balancing influence, leading him to take on the Aspect of Wrath.
Ithareal's lost his prescient ability where Sanctuary is concerned, and it's said he's gone mad. I'd guess Auriel either kills Ithareal; or perhaps Ithareal's loss simply affects Auriel to such a degree that she succumbs to Despair, therefor opening the way for her corruption. They are the closest of any of the Arch Angels, so what happens to one will effect the other.
And Malthael's gone missing some time ago, so he's the ultimate wild card. Will he come back to save the day, or become evil as well?
Asmodan is said to have generals that represent each of the Seven Deadly Sins. The Arch Angels are also representatives of "universal powers", and it seems each is being transformed, one by one. Could there be a connection?

Be it through hallowed grounds or lands of sorrow
All in the Forger's wake is left bereft and fallow
Is the residuum worth the cost of destruction and maiming;
Or is the shaping a culling and exercise in taming?
The road's goal is the dark Origin of Being
But be wary through what thickets it winds.

Obviously Diablo is going to absorb the essences of all seven Evils and corrupt the Crystal Arch...how, exactly, is not sure, but one user seems to believe that Tyrael will absorb Diablo's essence and attempt to stop the Angiris Council, but loses control and results in Council's decimation.

Auriel, is archangel of hope

Anyway yeah (to give wiki links)
But it goes well with the theory of
Tyreal falling to earth,
Imperius going crazy mad
Auriel is killed?
sounds about right.

Also note the legs on diablo look a little more like andariel's than lillith's.
