i think you are stuck on the stereotypes and clichEs of aliens. Our aliens would love to tear your skin from its flesh and and cover you in a inorganic acid burning your flesh down to your bones. Not aliens that have large grey heads and abduct red necks for anal probing.

Yeah, looking just at SC they have two alien races, the protoss and the zerg. So an alien could be intellectual and use psionics or the alien could be a brute and use acid. And I have to agree, I wouldn't imagine that it would be on a farm where crop circles take place then get abducted. That's just lame.
I personally think the whole Sci Fi genre for an RP is kinda lame. I mean the story could go any which direction. Anybody could literally do anything. To me, it just seems like too much space to play around, and not enough rigidity.
I think having a present day, past day, or Sanctuary RP would be better suited due to there already being rules of "reality" in place that we all know. I mean we all know what a Medieval Knight is, we all know what a Witchdoctor is, we all know what US Marine is. I would assume that most people don't know what a Yautja is, let alone a Tarei'hasan.
The voting for genre has started as of now, Saturday morning, and will end Sunday night, giving everyone two days to vote. Again, we are only voting on genre, no plot, no characters, no races, only genre. For every genres there is only specific plots that can work for specific genres. Everyone has 3 (three) votes and you must use all of your votes, no left blank. When you vote you will PM your votes to me, Junction3. The genres that your voting on are as followed:
1. Diablo
2. Medieval
3. Sci-fi
4. High Fantasy
5. Pirates
6. Western
7. Modern Day
8. Modern Warfare

Also, all genres and plots will be handled in a mature and well thought of manner. No childish versions of any genre will come about, trust me. Dark, Dirty, violent and fun will all be included.

I just had a thought... A Western with zombies!! Its funny how you can take any genre and add zombies, and it instantly becomes AWESOME!! lol Maybe that's why Diablo became what it is, because you get to kill thousands of zombies.

What what what?!?!? I must get this game!!! Googled. The year is 1929, and yet, they have cars from the 90's lol. But it does look like a pretty good game. That's getting way off topic.
NEwayZ. I'm actually getting pretty excited about this RP. If its a Diablo universe, I can use my same character design and backstory from the KotBB, (which nobody actually saw except Jetrall, I think). Any other universe, and I'll start from scratch, but probably still trying to embody some of the same mentalities and attributes. Woot!!
All votes are now in. The winner will be announced later today. Junction3 and I are trying to put some info together to release at the same time as the announcement of the genre.
