... "Oscar statues"? Well, whatever, it was just a suggestion.
Edit--
Oh, I get what you mean- No, I didn't intend it to be worded like that for brownie points, I just couldn't think of another theme that is prevalent enough within the guild for it to be widely recognized by my fellow guild members
I highly recommend you to get that "holy Lord God Silver" out of there. No one outside of SICK knows who the heck Silver is, and not everyone is a big fan of Oscar statues, anyway.
In the interest of recruiting new members, I would have to agree, referring to SIlver as anything other than a guild leader, forum member or gamer has been optional for many years now, this should not change, Like Equinox pointed out not everyone knows who Silversurfnstud is, esp. considering his level of onforum activity. And even fewer truly know where the 'Lord' business comes from.
That's pretty good. I like it. However I think those posters work better when the character in the image is pointing directly at the viewer, that is, in effect, their point. "Uncle Sam wants YOU!!!!!"
And your final line in your image is awesome too, but I don't think it's SICK official motto, but more one we often use.
I am unsue about this, but is it possible to make custom profiles for Xfire. Here is my Defaulted and WOW profiles.
I am not saying we need to go as detailed as the WOW one, it has a lot of coding I sure, as it updates itself with character statatistics, but more like the default maybe with some sort of SICK based background. I don't know, I don't think it's possible, but would be cool to see.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
Oh, I just remember seeing it alot in Thasador's sig, and I thought the wording was cool (except for SilverSurfinStud, which I aptly redid to "Silver".) Do we have a motto somewhere?
Wasn't someone complaining about all the new members posting here?
As a member you should know the answer to that question without fail.
"In the name of God the impure souls of the Living Dead shall be banished into eternal damnation, Amen."
We primarily deal with the Undead, but demons and other monsters are not beyond us.

I figured since you posted the question without reference to any other thread you were saying that you thought it was in this thread, or at least that's the logic I got out of it. Why don't you go post it there, then?
When was this guild founded?
Edit--
Attempt #2. All cultist guild variations removed and a picture of Tyrael lurching toward the viewer.
The picture is a little blurry, I tried to fix it up as best as I could. I couldn't find any other pictures like this, though, and I really like this one.
Edit--
Added a border around the picture, the faded effect ruined the stationary look of the overall image, I think.
What's to get? The Silver Inferno Crusading Knights are a holy order, the opposing force of which, would be an unholy one. Specifically, Undead. As their very name denotes their status as unholy.
SICK enjoys permanently implanting our boots in the faces of evil, whatever it may be, but for Undead we grind extra-hard. I remember the lectures the priests and clerics would give us in the Temples, about the goodness and evil in the world. I do not remember his name, but one night a very old priest told the brothers of the Temple about the horrors of the Undead, how they were the worst of all things which cheat death, and how they stole life from the good, living to keep their evil alive. They are the most vile of all vile monsters because they do not die like all things in nature must, but they take what does not belong to them from the good things in nature so they may continue to do bad things. The Silver Inferno Crusading Knights hate evil, especially evil which refuses to die! No more words. Let us be about the business of stamping out these creatures with sword and Hammer!

And with the abundance of Undead creatures present in both Diablo and the Warcraft universes, and with SICK being the Holy Order it is, the motto practically wrote itself.
Well it would have had it not already been written many years prior. It is actually the Hellsing Organization motto.
If I could direct your attention to a passage from the Diablo 1 manual for a moment.
Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred (Odium) The legions of Mephisto are driven by a hatred of all living things - especially those who are pure of heart. He counts as minions both the walking dead, who forever seek vengeance upon the living, as well as a host of demonically corrupted creatures whose twisted limbs and misshapen bodies leave them in eternal agony and rage.
Skeletons (Ossium Animatum) These are the skeletal remains of warriors who either died as soldiers in some dark campaign, or were betrayed by those they most trusted. Now animated by unnatural forces, these troops of the Damned forever seek new recruits to join their ranks. If our greatest fears do prove to be true, the skeletal warriors that are rumored to haunt the town of Tristram might well be the corrupted remains of the valiant Horadrim monks laid to rest in the catacombs beneath the church. Only an incredibly potent evil could have disturbed the peaceful slumber of these eremites. Skeletons are usually found in places where the dead are laid to rest or at the sites of great battles. While physically fragile, they are never lacking in numbers, for those that fall to them in combat are damned to an eternal lust for living blood. Coupled with their unthinking rage, this makes them a dangerous opponent.
Zombies, (Cibus Animatus) Worm-ridden and reeking of foul decay, Zombies are formed from the corpses of men executed for committing the most depraved and degenerate crimes against the innocent. They are driven by both the hatred that consumed them in life and an insatiable hunger for the flesh of the living. Tenacious and possessing stamina of infernal origin, Zombies and their ilk make for a difficult encounter. Fortunately, these undead minions are lacking in both wit and mobility which can be used to great affect against them.
Kinda seems like these creatures make a fun, sort of arch enemy type thing. Something we might want to dedicate our lives to ridding the world of. In a role playing sense of course, If you want to get together with a bunch of other gamers and go on epic quests or frag the hell out of Zerg colonies, then do that. I won't stop you, heck I might even join you.

Oh I just love it when moderation doesn't work like I want it. Merged the wrong way.
I would just like to take this time to say that while yes, it would appear as though I am taking things a bit far in the minds of some, but if you come from my world, the over the top fan obsessed role playing world of Dungeons and Dragons and associated products, then you would see this is actually rather light in terms of level or depth. There are much worse out there. People who actually believe themselves to be Elves or Dwarves in human bodies. Seriously.
Role Playing as the Holy Order is OPTIONAL! You do not, and I will make this absolutely clear, you DO NOT have to do it.
It's not a requirement, nor is anyone forcing you to do it. There are some old threads that contradict that, but they are old and now void. Again it's optional. Heck playing Diablo is optional, we have been known to also play Warcraft III, World of Warcraft and Starcraft.
I for one, enjoy a bit of role playing, something I think WOW, despite its labeling as a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game seems to lack in a huge way.
If you want to just play the games that's it, that is fine. SOme like to add a little extra and that is fine too.
But back to the topic at hand;
Thanks to all you guys submitting user bars ans posters, I really like them, I think we might be getting somewhere with them, so keep 'em coming so we can offer our input and see if we can as a group get a some really good ones.
Anyone out there any good at making websites?
http://www.xfire.com/clans/xsickx/ has the ability to link to an official site that someone could make. Currently it's set to http://www.silverinfernocrusadingknights.net but that site doesn't exist, I just made it up when I began to set up the guild on Xfire. If possible prehap you could use that domain, but I can easily change it to whatever domain you are able to secure.
And yes I know www.diablofans.com is probably the only site we would ever need, it's nice to have our own site, for guild related business, such as trying to organise getting groups of players together for a game, but like I just said, this site can easily be used for that, and infact it is.

The thing on Silver avatar is an Oscar statue to a person like me. It's a comic character. Not everyone who likes Diablo likes comics, that's what I am saying.

I care. After all, I did propose the idea of making those posters. That new one is pretty good. I wonder what it would look like in one of the more Diablo-esque fonts. Maybe Exocet or Morphius.
And I don't suppose you could get a hold of that still shot of Medivh from the Warcraft III cinematic I was talking about earlier could you? I just love how inspiring it is. Medivh is referring to Thrall naturally, but since it is you the player that commands and leads the horde, the moment where he is pointing at Thrall, you can also take it, that he is pointing at you.
Here is the link for the movie again http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIgRu633WQU
I think it is at about 2:30 that the bit I am talking about occurs. Somewhere around that point in time.
Is it just me or is this thread in regards to total SICK members, rather empty? COnsidering the number of members who spoke of a need for new members you would think those same members would have an oppinion or idea for the recruiting of new members.

Sounds like you guys need one. It could help to recruit people if your guild stood for certain values. For instance, many guilds/clans tend to be nasty to newcomers, judgemental of low-level and/or inexperienced players. Others may provide good teamwork and partnership.
You can establish your guild as meeting a certain criteria to make it more clear to people: what does this guild represent, how is it different, and why should I join this guild, not the other?
I view SICK as mostly an open-ended guild that accepts everyone, doesn't support assholish ways of hacking, and tries to keep members connected. But that's for you guys to decide.

I, and hopefully by extension SICK, are under the impression everyone has to be noob or naive at some point, either being new to a game or having a low level character, and that we should do what we can to help them out, maybe give you an extra set of hands or weapons rather for killing a boss, hand over items you no longer need and the like.

With the excpetion of optional role playing, we really don't have much in the way of objectives or a point. Other than love of the game. So yes, perhaps we should look to amending this.

If we all reacted the same way, we'd be predictable, and there's always more than one way to view a situation. What's true for the group is also true for the individual. It's simple: Overspecialize, and you breed in weakness. It's slow death. We are fairly open to all people from all walks of life. About the only people we are highly likely to deny entry would be spammers and those who sign up make one post then leave. It is because of these people we were forced to rethink our entry requirements. And hackers!!
Is this the image you were talking about, Elfen?
I wouldn't know, your image doesn't appear to show up for me. I provided a link for the cinematic in question. Refer to that.
