I still play but on USEast NL with a couple of friends. Tried USWest for a while and had too much latency for comfort. I've also not seen pretty much anyone from the group playing there and I pryed pretty much every day.
I don't think I'll be investing time to build a whole new character from scratch just for the group since there's not that much activity to begin with. No hard feelings.

Yes Hnk, he is. I just have been lazy and haven't added him to our roster. But now that I'm here, and somewhat motivated, I reckon it's time to sort of debrief everyone in the group and evaluate where we stand right now as a group.
Over the summer, our group was definitely most active. It was pretty glorious too because most of the time I could log in to Bnet and find at least 2-3 players on average already in games where I could join them. Other times we would have as many as eight of us on, all doing a number of things for different players who needed to get different things done, all the while communicating with each other during the games as to what we all had as a group.
After as little as just two games sometimes, we'd have to start an xferring game cause we were collecting tons of gear and runes. And we still had lots of us who hadn't done our Forge in Hell yet either so that was fun working as team as well. It's strange how fun it can be standing around while you watch someone else complete their Forge and seeing what runes they get.
Anyway, the fun couldn't last forever. And as school started again, high school for some, college for others, we already couldn't be on as much as we wanted to. So group participation began dwindling ever since. One of the biggest problems with this was that when a new recruit came along wanting to join with us, they were certainly welcome to, but they had to understand that they weren't likely to receive as much help or overall participation from the rest of us as all our time had been severely constrained.
What had happened with me personally was that I was in the process of moving to a new place. My new place didn't really have Internet except for a weak nearby wireless signal that I would leach off of. Not good enough though to play on Bnet with. Cause usually no matter how busy I was, I'd always have an hour or so to play in the evenings before I either went to bed or did other stuff. So lately, when one does see me on Bnet, it's either cause I'm at work where I have wireless, or I go up to my mom's house with the specific intent to play D2.
And so another problem was that because our level of activity had dropped so dramatically, we subsequently became much more lax on the rules. It was no okay to join the group with an existing chacter, it was now okay to trade with people outside the group, and even recruit people who weren't on the forums, etc. This all wouldn't be such a big deal except for that as all this would start to happen, I never went back to amend the rules accordingly.
So new members who joined our group would get on Bnet, wonder where the heck everyone was, and yet still try to abide by the rules that were originally drafted by Krow. I tried explaining to some extent to newer members that they didn't need to necessarily abide by all those rules since the group was largely in remission. And I wasn't on enough to adequetely explain this to others on Bnet.
Anyway, the main thing I was trying to convey to everyone was that, yes, were were mostly idle or absent on D2 and that I hoped as the end of the year came, and we'd all have Christmas breaks and whatnot, that a lot of us would be returning and able to play a lot more.
As of now, you can still commonly find Hnk on there. Sometimes myself, but I don't really stay on unless there are other people on too. I have no idea what Ftero or Will is up to anymore. AFG is seemingly dead. Deadsights I've seen occassionally. We have mostly him to thank for getting the bot up and running in our chatroom. And ultimately we have Krow to thank for having this great idea of playing Diablo 2 in an old fashion way and bringing us all together. So thank you Krow, for your innovation and rallying.
I hope as November is almost over, I will then be close to having fall semester over and will be able to play a lot more for at least a month straight. So I am still very interested in playing D2 with all of you guys, collecting keys, storing runes, and everything else I'm sort of good at.
I will officially be playing diablo 2 a lot since my 360 and everything is gone

My friends and I are playing Diablo II every Sunday night until Diablo III launches. Then we will switch to Diablo III!
I've been playing these games since Diablo1 launched and they never get old. The only game I like as much is Phantasy Star Online(Gamecube) which also has random-levels and many Diablo-style elements.
ohhh I forgot about reading about you guys. I just started a poison necromancer - only played once in a private game with Siaynoq and HnK. Is it okay if I register with him for this group? Or do I have to dedicate my whole account?

What ze fuck... the name of the thread didnt really give anything away... that must be why I've missed it for... months?
*palm to face*
But this is only private right.. like a super secret cult or something
Can I join?
I've been playing yesterday and today... and will probably play until i get semi-decent items again only to become bored again and delete my character - thus finishing the cycle that we all know very well
Sounds good! So Siay - does this mean I'm in? I can't promise massive straight-on hours from me, as I got straight 4U courses this semester and no spares. But I tend to procrastinate and play games anyways, and if I get to play with some people, I'll defintely get back into it. Just the ladder reset just took me away from the game, I had JUST gotten like 3 straight awesome characters. </3
Anyways, I got a lvl 47 fire sorceress (but she won't be in the group due to rules n' all) and a level 7 poison necro, which will be apart of the group? I think I should just delete that sorc (or keep her idle) and have all my other characters on my Killer-Swift account part of the group?
And Magnum, I can't wait to play again with you, bro'!

op Diablofans is the channel for this group, who play only in private games. So technically speaking, if we're using our private characters, we should be in the op Diablofans channel, ne?
