Diablo was easy. All you do is go in close enough to lure out the Blood Knights, but not close enough for Diablo to come after you. Kill all of them, have like 8 full healing potions on your belt. I used 4 on Diablo, and 4 on the other monsters. Your results may vary. Don't even bother with the wizards. Try to have max fire resistance or at least 50 percent, because they all use fire. I think i was like level 25 at the time i fought him. Oh, make Diablo follow you away from the wizards so you won't get fired at by all of them, just some of them, then hack away at him. This is all with a warrior. With a rogue, you prolly do the same thing, but with distance between you and Diablo so he doesn't beat the hell out of you. With the mage, cast spells I guess? I am not good with the mage. He is too weak for my taste. Well, now you know how I beat Diablo easily. I had a lot of strength and dexterity so that might have added to it as well.
well, getting to level 30 in diablo 1 is hard enough. I was at level 25, and that was after fighting like every monster in the game on every level. I explored every level completely and stuff and i got both of the skeleton based quests (King Leoric and Chamber of Bone) so that probably gave me a lot of experience. The quests that you get are completely random, so you should scope out the guide somehow to figure out how the quests are grouped. But yeah, I kinda got off topic. The point is, you would probably have to play through the whole game like 3 or 4 times to get to level 50, since at level 25 starting a new game, you will not gain hardly any experience during the first, like, 5 or 6 levels. So yeah, it's pretty hard to get to lvl. 50.

The Curse of King Leoric, Poisoned Water Supply can only do 1 of The Butcher, Gharbad the Weak, Ogden’s Sign can only do 2 of The Magic Rock, Valor, Halls of the Blind can only do 2 of Zhar the Mad, The Black Mushroom, Anvil of Fury can only do 2 of Warlord of Blood, Lachdanan can only do 1 of
you can always do the chamber of bone. and obviously you can always do the Arch Bishop Lazarus

Killing Diablo in the first game could be so much more difficult than the second. Cause if you died, you couldn't just run back to where you died and pick up where you left off. You had to save the game and each time I would get a good hit (unless my dexterity was high enough that it didn't matter), I would save it out of fear that I'd get killed and I would have to start all over.
Plus, you aren't just fighting Diablo but all his cronies hanging out with him.
yep grab all your stuff you want from town. kill diablo and save it while he is pissing out blood. so you can get the 30,000 EXP he gives you. 30,000 is a lot on your first run thru the game. considering on your second run thru you probably wont get any EXP til level 8. that is assuming you had no restarts before fighting diablo the first time.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
It's nice to talk to someone who hasn't played the first Diablo yet. This way, I'll be sort of playing the game vicariously for the first time through you.
so if u die in d1 is it like hardcore, ur just hav to start over?
nope if you die you just reload your last save.

actually i noticed that if you've done the King Leoric quest you always get the Lachdanan quest if you move further into the game without restarting. didnt notice if some other quests led to others. I always thought of a random quest pool that picked quests on every game start without much reason.
there is a bit of a pool. but its no as random as one might think.

i have a warrior and right now hes lvl 16, these god damn lightning tall blue thigns are destroying me, i just defeated some sorceress (guy) that kept teleing and shooting fire balls at me, ive wasted so many Revs in this game, its not funny. THEY cost 600 each, i waste gold to quick. Also my gear is the worst.
um, i feel really slow for asking this, but what is a 'Rev'?
Rejuvination potions? I wasn't sure either, but I think that's how much they cost.
You know, it was a pretty clever way to engage replayability by having the possibility that you may or may not get a certain quest. I remember my first two times playing how I didn't get the King Leoric quest.
for poison water supply you get the Ring of Truth. its like +20 to light radius, +15% all resistance, and like +2 to all attributes if i remember right. its pretty good. and what is the name of the helm you got btw?
and also, kill guy (i dont feel like scrolling up), you should really use Full Healing and Full Mana potions. i think its better. and like have a FEW Rejuv. potions on hand. but i usually have like 6 health potions and 2 mana potions. since you can get like four of these for the price of 1 rejuv. potion, its actually better, the rejuv potion is basically there to save inventory space. and you need weapons more than health. well you need health, but weapons are above potions in priority. use gold on equipment if it sucks! buy premium items! talk to wirt! this is good stuff,

I don't remember that ring h aving that great of attributes. However, I do feel light radius is underrated. I love having lots of light radius.
