Logged on today just for the daily reward stuff and to get a single 'first kill of the day' reward ..
Now, hear me out - Literally the first mob I killed dropped a legendary staff!
The first legendary I've found (I'm lvl 34)! Well .. I ABSOLUTELY BELIEVE THAT THIS WAS NOT 'LUCK' - the game has BUILT IN ALGORITHMS for this stuff - I'm someone that's not really playing the game atm - so they want to HOOK ME back in this way. It's not random at all, your rewards are 'weighed' up against various factors based on your player profile.
It's almost as if a GM was standing right there next to me as he noticed that I ran out into the wilderness .. 'Hm, you haven't been playing much lately, have you? - Here, take this! - Perhaps that'll make you return to the game!'
Sad state of affairs because as much as I'm not someone who subscribe to 'conspiracy theories' or anything like that, It'd really not surprise me if this is exactly what happened. I absolutely wouldn't put it past Blizzard implementing something like this into the game code at this point. We shouldn't accept such tactics to be 'the new normal' guys. Let's just hope that D4 will actually be a real game.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
"For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and as the last Man He shall stand forth upon the Earth."
It's difficult to tell if this is a troll or if you're seriously spinning conspiracy theory.
It's adorable that you think there is the support staff on their team to be monitoring such things, let alone acting on them. You purchased the game, they already got their money from you; there is absolutely zero benefit to them getting you to continue to playing the game after that point. It's not as if you are generating additional revenue for them after that point.
RNG is RNG, you could have received a legendary drop on your first kill or could have gone multiple hundreds of thousands without seeing one.

One doesn't purchase Diablo Immoral you know .. besides, I didn't say that I actually think they're actively monitoring these things.
