I never said I die a lot. I don't die in act 1 or hell, however I farmed act one yesterday with 5 stacks of valor for 6 hours. I got 3 ilvl 63s all were blue and were no better than a rare ilvl 57. What I'm saying is that I get zero upgrades through farming, I cannot make money to get an upgrade on AH unless I want to drop down in difficulty giving no chance at upgrades. There shouldn't be ilvl 55 and below dropping in act II inferno.
Got a question for you.......
Once you have your 5 stacks up, are you still hitting Elites? Or do you hit the Butcher and restart?
I'm still hitting elites. Yesterday I played through the entire act I. Went into all the side dungeons to get elite kills and resplendent chest etc, finishing up with butcher. Again all I got was 3 really crappy ilvl63. Also I know that maybe I just got very unlucky, thats fine. What I'm saying is that in 2 weeks of farming Act I with 2 different chars, sometimes with 30% mf on top of the 5 stacks I've got one upgrade for my one witch doctor and yet I cannot still comfortably farm Act II. Perhaps I'm just getting very unlucky, maybe I need to use the AH more. I just don't want to be forced to use the AH. I would like for my gear to be stuff that I found.
1) I can farm the end of hell for gold and make some gold, but not nearly as much as pre-patch due to just wear and tear repair costs. By doing this I'm giving my char no chance at getting an ilvl 63 and therefore progressing in game/item ability
I *really* hate to be snarky, but you don't need iLevel 63s to progress. There are some amazing items out there which just happen to be well-rolled 61s and 62s.
Your repeated assertion that lack of iLevel 63s is what is hindering you from moving into Act 2 is absolutely asinine. My WD doesn't have a single 63 and infact has four sub-60 items. I can clear Act 2 with absolute ease. If I sat around feeling sorry for myself because I don't have 63s, I'd be back in Act 1 too timid to even kill zombies on the way to New Tristram.
I completely agree with you, I'm not arguing that I need 63s. I'm saying that I have had one upgrade from act 1 in two weeks of farming. I also think I do a pretty good amount of farming so I'm not just trying to whine. I'm putting in time, I'm just not seeing the results. Again, maybe I'm just really unlucky, just putting it out there for the feedback. I keep trying more and more of act II and can't progress without dying and going broke over repair costs. Then act 1 isn't giving the items I need to progress. I'm wondering if other people are having this, is it just a build problem, stat allocation with gem problem, etc.
