Seems to me your petition wants all these things done:
Turn Saturation Down. (Or Up, I can't remember)
Replace Armor Types.
Change Character Models.
Change Creature Models.
Edit Levels.
Replace any lighting so that you have an "acceptable" light radius.
Make Models worn down/broken
Remove any cartoony graphics and go realistic.
Edit existing models that look too cute/cartoony [Example: Lion Statue]
Change animations (maybe, if the swings look too cartoony)
Slap a pack on mud on every area and make everything look gothic and dirty.
Add realism to combat.
Remove most colour. (Blue/green especially)
Make less vivid.
REMOVE ANYTHING THAT WARCRAFT HAS IN COMMON.
I dunno, I think it looks like a lot of work.
PS: I hope Diablo 3 gets cancelled now if your going to complain so much.
Well I don't agree on this, it's too many changes imo. you might as well cancel the game completely which I don't want!!!:mad:
Great... I can see it now, Blizzard Delays Diablo 3 Because of 10,000 people out of 100's of thousands for 2 years just to make the game suit their needs. I hope they screw up the game, and we can blame you guys.. >>.
Ok i just watched the gameplay video again and quite frankly i don't know what seems to be the problem... It's dark, gothic and bloody, except maybe for the outside area, but that was just one dungeon...there will be many other, they can't all be like act 4 of Diablo 2... Act 2 in D2 wasn't that gothic...
And as far as the character design go they look the same as in D2 but with better graphics, the armor just looks bigger on the girl 'cause shes smaller then the male barbarian, it looks just fine on him, but i have to say it's limit... Other then that, everything seems good.
The reason you all seem like whining babies is that the main reason for your argument seems like that you hate it for (what you claim is) being close to WoW

Ok then you tell me, we've olny seen 2 area's..they said they wanted to put in the emotion of darkness, ect. what is going to be the rest of the game, what is blizzards version?
Seriously if you people even watched the developer and artist's panels, they had the decency to go back and play the old games before starting on D3. They said they were surprised that the game didn't match their memories of it, it was a lot brighter and more colourful. Their memories were of a darker game, and they were wrong. All it their memories were constructed because the atmosphere acheived a darker feel, not the colours.
Go get a damn copy of D1+D2 and play it. It'll be different than you remember.
Hope Blizzard does with this complaint what it did with Warlock complaints: Ignore them.

I still find it amazing that people are freaking out of a little art when they should be greatful that Blizz didn't decide to make D3 like Hellgate or something worse.
My biggest worry was they they wouldn't stick with the isometric view. They can get creative with the art all they want for all I care. Game play is what's most important, and that seems to be on the right track.
It's not like Blizzard has ignored all the feedback it has received over the years from fans on the Diablo franchise. I mean, just listen to the commentary on the gamemplay trailer. They are trying to satisfy longtime Diablo fans while at the same time trying to evolve Diablo into something with far more features beyond the mere hack n' slash.
Let's just postpone the game for two years, and have it all dark and scary, with no exapnded gameplay, and lesser story, ect because they had to make sure the graphics were perfect.
Pretty sure they will make some adjustments over time. Anyone remember SC2?
