Seeing other people's monks I feel that I should be able to have higher damage than I do now. It takes while to get through MP3 mobs in A1 due to their health. Sometimes I'm able to go with 2 1H weapons, other times I have to switch to sword and board.
Based off my current gear, what should I focus on upgrading? What stats should I focus on more and which should I not care as much.

Note, I don't have a lot of gold right now, I'm over 2M. What I have is the best I can get for sub-1M. I'm not afraid of paying a lot for items. In my budget value gear, my ring Meridian was almost 400k and I think that's the most I paid for anything. As soon as I get more gold, I won't be against buying better gear.
You need a helmet with a socket and a ruby before you do anything else... the exp gain is significant and more MF/GF/Exp will get you better items faster. There really is a significant "sweet spot" where you start picking up stuff like what you're wearing and trash it
I agree with ^^ the next step from here is to slowly upgrade your gear by adding crit chance, crit dmg, and attack speed. Weapons with sockets can have emerald added for an easy dps upgrade as long as your crit chance is reasonable (20-25+)
The last patch added a cool "search for similar" option that makes it easier to find upgrades. Go to the sell tab in the AH, right click on something (like your pants) and click search for similar. Then click the X on stats you don't care about and search again.
I tried searching for pants that don't have MF on it but matching the Dex that I have with them becomes expensive. Hopefully an item sells tonight and I'll be able to afford some nicer gear.
I wouldn't be too concerned right now with keeping your dex as high as it is. From what I see, you lack any crit or crit damage - this should be your priority. The best players get such high dps from having a lot of crit chance, crit damage, and increased attack speed. Getting one of these on an item isn't that expensive, but getting two on an item can increase the price by 10x that amount. For example, a few months ago I bought an amulet with stats that are something like this
+200 dex, +70 vit, +50 or so arcane resist, +53% crit damage
and I was able to get it from the AH for about 800K. That can be expensive depending who you ask, but last night I was trying to get a similar amulet that also had crit chance on it and they were selling for at least 5 million, and that's after the patch with more gear dropping for people. Getting higher DPS is going to take a bit of time, so I would focus on improving crit chance where you can and crit damage through your weapon.
To increase your crit, try searching for gloves with a crit of at least 7%. You can also get a bit vit, dex, all resist and/or the elemental resist of your choice and it might not be too expensive if you really search the AH. Look at items that are about the expire as this is where you can sometimes get the best bargains rather than using the "buy it now" option. Gloves are odd as you can even get 2 of crit chance, crit damage, and increased attack speed and the price won't grow astronomically unlike trying to get 2 of those stats on rings or amulets. I would also replace your fist weapon for a weapon with a socket for a green gem (increases crit damage) and crit damage built into it. I just did a search for a weapon with 100 dex, 50 crit damage, and a socket and found some with a 100K buyout and this would definitely boost your damage. I did a search for bracers with lightning resist, at least 100 dex, vit, and crit chance and I found some that had similar stats to yours (resist, dex, and vit) but also added 4% crit chance for under 50K.
You can do the same for your amulet and your rings but these can still be expensive. If you search the AH carefully for items like I mentioned you can boost your DPS without sacrificing too much survivability.
So I've been doing some sniping and buying stuff, and I think I have a better geared monk. I know he still has some way to go, but now if I want better gear it's going to cost a bunch. My life leach weapon was like 800k. When does life leach become more effective than LoH? And what gear has Crit Hit and which ones have Crit Damage?
I am not going to claim that this is fact because I don't have the math to prove it to you, but I've read that Life Leach surpasses LOH at around 100K dps.
Do keep in mind that the the life leach is reduced by 80% in Inferno... so 2% of damage converted to life is actually .4% of your damage.
Regarding gear questions, not assuming you're looking for legendaries, this is where you'll find some extra dps stats:
Rings: Crit Chance, Crit Damage, and Attack Speed
Neck: Crit Chance, Crit Damage, and Attack Speed
Gloves: Crit Chance, Crit Damage, and Attack Speed
Bracers: Crit Chance
Helm: Crit Chance
Weapons: Crit Damage and Attack Speed
I would've posted the max values for each piece, but since rings and amulets can now roll lvl 63 stats, I don't want to mislead you by providing incorrect info. I do know for sure that all pieces listed above have a max crit chance of 6%, except for gloves and amulet, which have a max crit chance of 10%.

gloves need to go, u want some with high dex, + 8%+ crit chance, + either one of (attack speed or crit dmg)
with lower dps, its not efficient to farm mp3+, farming mp1 is the most efficient to get legendary drops, since stuffs die fast
good luck
