I want to be too many things and I can't decide which one:
1. Battle Mage - One handed weapon + Magic.
2. Mage - All spells
3. Ranger - Bow and Arrows
4. Duelmaster - Duel wielding.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH WHICH ONE TO CHOSE!!!!
Dual = two
Duel = fighting
I MUST FIX EVERYONE'S ENGLISH PROBLEM BEFORE 11/11/11!!!!!!!!!!
Why than didn't you fix up this:
Chose = past tense
Choose = present tense
Because I'm particularly hellbent against dual vs duel, especially after 6 years of idiots in WoW. Oh and I suppose I could say.... "Why than didn't you fix up this" should be "Then why didn't you fix this".

that made me laugh. Back on skyrim though, I was planning on going the battlemage route, in oblivion no matter what type of combat I chose(bow, sword, axe etc.) i always ended up using magic just as much. So ill most likely end up going sword early on then incorporating magic in my combat. I mean you're given magicka so why not use it
Oh, and yes you will be able to dual wield staves, since they're considered 1 handed
Oh yeah, I've got another question. Does anyone know if there's going to be a hide helmet option or something? I'm gonna be a sad panda if I can't see my bengal tiger colored Khajiit.
What kind of news has there been about the sneak system? I believe I heard it will be more like Fallout 3's, which is an improvement, but still not that great.
I mean, in FO3, unless you had a stealth boy on, after the first hit your opponent always new where you were.
Basically, I want to try a stealthy brawler or mage character, but I don't want to do it if that means I get one stealth hit, and then have to kill everyone else. I guess it boils down to I want a way to hide and get the enemy to reset from "danger" (which meant they know where I am, no matter where I go) to "caution" (which means they think I'm still there, they just don't know where). So yes, I want to play this game like I was able to play the Arkham Batman games and the latest Deus Ex.
There is a perk in the stealth constellation that allows you to go back into sneak mode and if you're far enough away the enemy will lose sight of you and just begin to slowly search for you.

It looks like there is no hide helmet option. Thats why many roleplayers dont like the armor perks... because you need a full set of armor for the most talents to work. Especially as assassin/thieve I would just use a cloth hood and not a lether/glass helmet. But yeah... I'll start as a Orc Berserker... so no need for hiding my helmet... because an Orc in full heavy armor looks way to good to hide parts of the armor.
They always say that the "softcap" is at ~lvl50 so I have 3 more Perks to spend... but I'm not sure what to choose maybe Steady Hands for Archery... but I guess thats not needed. In the end I will spend them on speech for better trading.
The funny thing is, I tried to plan an Assassin/Thieve and they need way to many Perks <_< pure Warrior is fine... and I guess pure Mage is ok to, but as an Assassin/Thieve you still need points in the Combat Skills (Bow/One-Handed) and so you have less perks for your thieving/assassination talents also Sneak looks like you need all the perks if you want to play an Assassin... thats 13 points that are needed <_< (but you get things like 15x Backstab dmg with Daggers Oo)
Edit: Note that the softcap is just that... a "soft" cap. The max lvl is ~lvl 75 so if you plan to get all your Skills to 100 you get way more Perks. Bethesda only said that after lvl50 you will likely have beaten the game and you will be so powerful that there isnt really anything to do. But then again... why not max your char... just for the fun of it.
Thanks for the link to the perks!
I always liked fighter style characters with a little twist, so i will go for some stealth using an axe and alteration skills (paralyze and armors), supported by light armor and alchemy.
One Handed: (12): Armsman (5) + Hack And Slash (3) + Fighting Stance (1) + Savage Strike (1) + Critical Charge (1) + Paralyzing Strike (1).
I find it odd that you cant cast spells whilst holding a weapon. Seems like characters who want to weild weapons and cast some spells will have a hard time unequipping/equipping. Unless shouts cover all sorts of magic - damage, controll, buff, debuff, heal etc.
Btw are there any other ranged weapons aside from bow? I.e xbow or thrown?
You can have a spell in one hand and a weapon in the other. I think the only ranged weapon is bow.

Couldnt you see something like that in the gameplay demo? He killed one enemie and the other started to search for him but he didnt know where he was? Also I think there is a Perk that allows you to re-enter stealth during combat... but not sure about that one.
I have been avoiding most videos. I want to experience it all fresh when I play.
that it seems like there is absolutly no drawback on being a Werewolf <_< You can transform once a day... at will... and even during the day. With a Ring you get through a Quest you can transform twice a day. The transformation holds for some duration (I dont know how long...) and if you eat flesh (you saw that in the Vid btw.) you can keep the transformation going. Where is the whole Curse aspect to this? It feels more like shapeshifting than lycantrophie...
If you compare that to a Vampire... you get that ugly weakness to sunlight. If you are at the last stage of vampirism you cant even move outside during the day without dying extrem fast... if you compare that to the spoiler... why would I play a vampire?Also whats all this about
Cannibalism
Oo it looks like that is in the game
Have the spelled out everything with the werewolf curse? I could see some serious downsides that would easily fit in a Bethesda game - Being harassed by werewolf hunters, uncontrolled transformation during a fullmoon, people dislike you if they see you transform into a werewolf, etc. My point is, let's not jump to conclusions until people have actually fleshed out what is involved with being a werewolf (unless they already had, in which case, my bad).
Tenhi:
[spoil]Werewolves in Morrowind had some draw backs. You had to kill someone every night. Also if anyone saw you tranforming everyone would try to come and kill you. I'm sure there will be some drawbacks. I'm inbterested to see what they are.[/spoil]
Heard on Steam that if preordered the new COD game, it won't be unlocked until 9 am on the 8th instead of 12 am. If they pull some crap like that on Skyrim I'll be super pissed. I plan to be up all night Thursday playing this game. And I wonder anyway when I'll be able to preload it. I keep checking for it but still no go.

Which perfectly adds up to 50.

But yeah all one handed weapons can be wielded with a spell.
The game will need steam authorization, which if I remember correctly means steam decrypts it. I highly doubt you'll see a PC crack before launch.

I hate the way you cling to ignorance and pass it off as innocence
People will still find ways to crack it, it's just the best right now.
What happened to just registering the game?
