I still don't have a high enough population on Zeta to even need to upgrade the mills and mines.
But anyways, like I said - if you ever need more wood in a hurry, just ask and I'll see if I have any spare wood (I'm making lots, but I do need it for upgrades like mad).
And as a side note, I just randomly got 3120 marble from a guy on my marble island. Talk about a bonus. ='D

One becomes strong when they are fighting to protect someone close to them... - Shiro Haku
He currently has 85 ships guarding his city, 65 ramships, 8 fireships, and 12 ballistas. With my scout fleet of 25 fireships, I destroyed 24 of his ships, and I still have 6 returning from the skirmish. He obviously has most of his military points from his fleet, so his land based army will be very small.
I am now ramping up for a full scale assault. I will attack with about 100 fireships, 80 swordsmen, and 60 riflemen, all fully upgraded. By my estimations, this should be more than enough to quell this peasant who dares to attack a member of the Angiris Council.
Any who would care to join in the fun are welcome, but I must urge you to wait approximately 3 days or until I contact you before attacking. This will give us all time to coordinate our attacks to inflict the greatest damage. He is level 20, so there will be plenty of resources to go around once his defenses are crushed.
I have been in contact with the enemy, and it sounds as if he may surrender before we even attack. It is no matter, I believe that Whiteghost should be avenged no matter what. So I suggest attacking in about 3 days even if he surrenders. Tentative attack date and time is 10.08.2008 08:00:00.
Their people pray for strength and guidance. They should pray for the mercy of a swift death.
Damn, that last line is very nice and original Archidmidies! Where on Earth (or sanctuary) did you come up with that?!
It sounds like you don't need any help, and the costs for such an attack would kill off any income I have. Plus I have little in the way of a navy (as I busted a lot of my own ships attacking an inactive guy on my island). Plus, I need to upgrade my shipyard more so I can get the paddle wheel engine and stuff. Heh =/
edit: Yowza! Thanks Siay for all the marble! It'll be put to good use! I already have about 15k marble ALREADY on my first colony. Just gotta get a bit more crystal, a bit more marble, a bit more wine and wood and then I'm able to upgrade my first of 3 GR's! And I'll get another 3k point boost and put more space inbetween myself and the rest of you scallywaggs =(

I don't know where that line came from.
The skies parted, and a blinding beam of white light shone down upon me. I heard a noble and powerful voice boom those words at me.
"YOUR PEOPLE PRAY FOR STRENGTH AND GUIDANCE. THEY SHOULD PRAY FOR THE MERCY OF A SWIFT DEATH."
When the words hit my ears, it was if they weren't made of just sound, but also of some massive physical force. I felt a great pressure crushing down upon me, urging me to kneel. One knee buckled for an instant, but I strained to stay standing.
Again those words pounded my ears, and again I faultered, but failed to kneel to the mighty voice. A third time the words flew through the air, but this time they were more like a serpentine knife, trying to slice my legs out from under me.
But I was ready for it.
I stood tall, spread my arms out wide, and with all my might, forced my own voice from my lungs. "WE WILL NEVER PRAY TO YOU!! YOU BOW TO US!!!!" My words split the earth around me, fire spewing forth from the gashes. The sky trembled, and yet I was not afraid, for I knew I could not be harmed.
Then as quickly as it appeared, the blinding light faded, and the skies and earth sealed up once again. Those words swirling around my awestruck mind. I had survived the experience. But was it for better or for worse, I did not know.
Sorry, got a little carried away there.
I welcome any help, however little it may be. All I ask is that we all attack at approximately the same time.
You guys wanna know what's really annoying about Ikariam? When you get attacked my someone, they don't make it easy to locate the person who just pillaged you.
For example, I've just had one of my colonies attacked by this asshole named mumex from the town of Teluk Gong. Ikariam is happy to give me all the details of the battle report and how much I've been pillaged, blah blah blah. But why the fuck can't I find where this guy is located so I can retaliate? There are no links to his location, no coordinates or anything. It's really annoying. I can't even manually message him to goad him into replying back, thus revealing his coordinates.
I have my army in my capital all ready to pounce on this guy's sorry ass and I have no idea where to send them. Dumb! Can anyone help me figure this out. There may even be a simple solution that's right in front of my face. But I seriously can't find where this guy is located. It's a drag.

where it says: "from the town of teluk gong" teluk gong is a link, click there.
it pains me to say this, but im goign to final start trasitioning my military into a all gunman one......and after so many upgrades to other units, shame......

Why would you do that? Certain units are good for offense, other defense. Surely you're keeping some phalanx?
phalanx are the best defense for their upkeep, untill you get steam giants. I'm just make all my barracks lvl4 and just train phalanx untill I get robotics.
Even when it comes to defense, gunman are better than phalanx, but phalanx cost less and have a lot lower upkeep.
This still pisses me off though, a phalanx isn't a unit/warrior. A phalanx is a Greek tactic using HOPLITES. Hoplites are the warriors with the spears and big-ass shields.
I'm close to getting robotics myself though, but those STEAM giants are costly as hell.

You do see some of the irony in this whole statement, right?
As for that guy that attacked me, I'm just gonna forget about it. He's really far away and his military strength is a bit higher than mine. It must have cost him a lot to attack me in the first place.

Distance doesn't affect cost - just time. So he just loses a lot more money due to increased amount of time for the doubled upkeep. Sadly, it doesn't cost extra resources.
And also, I was thinking - sulfur seems to be really cheap and not as used as much as the other resources. Shouldn't there be another use for sulfur to make it more valuable (or the others less valuable?). My idea was to have it as another building resource - but not for buildings, but for the mills/quarries/vineyars/pits/mines. Maybe from level4+ they require some sulfur to be upgraded as well? Although I suppose it would make *more* sense if that was marble's job.

hmmm well i agree sulfur should be used for something more, i mean couldn't helped be used for palace upgrades? Im lucky to see prices above 20 in my area. Or what about troop upgrades, need sulfur to make so shouldn't it be used to upgrade them to?
Well you're talking about the inaccuracies of the term phalanx while going on to talk about Greek robotics. Get it?

Yeah, but hence the costs. It costs upkeep. A lot of it.

Lmao! Okay, now I get it. I didn't realize you were including the steam giants in it, sorry must have slipped by my head.
Yeah, oh well. At least you just sit back and save up money while he loses more on attacking than he gains from winning. Well, at least I hope so in your case lol. Have you tried reasoning with him? Or laughing at him?
