Long story short, I have too little time and money to donate to and protest for every cause I want to, so this is the least I can do. I believe battles are won bit by bit, it's not all or nothing.
My point exactly. Folks like you can make that contribution by avoiding the company when otherwise you'd do nothing. I respect anyone who does what they can, which is why I disagreed wholeheartedly with Azriel on his point that boycotting their chicken was not effective or appropriate.
Of course, I do wish everyone would do more, but as you said: no skin in the game. I don't exactly go out of my way to help every just cause so I can understand the feeling. You have my thanks for participating in the boycott.

Well, I don't think it's inappropriate. I just want people to do more than that. It's definitely a method that people can stand by easily. I'll never eat there. Ever. Even if I did happen to go to Georgia or Alabama, I'd go to Popeye's for a chicken fix. In the meanwhile, I'll be trying to help dismantle the machine through greater strides. I actively supported Washington's same sex marriage referendum and, since a bunch of anti-LGBT pricks want to try to shoot down through a public vote, I'll be voting for same sex marriage this November and voting for Jay Inslee, a pro-LGBT Democrat running for governor.
I'm proud to live in Washington. At least the bigots are hard to find.
Edit: I do understand that it is often hard for people to do more. Since I'm 18 and I now have Democratic privileges extended to me, I'll be using the power of my vote to try and make a difference. That's another one of my contributions.
Edit 2: I'm seriously considering writing psychological thriller / horror novels. Don't know where to start though..

Yesterday I bought the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Collection (Knights of the Old Republic and Knights of the Old Republic II) for $19.99 and Neverwinter Nights Complete (Neverwinter Nights plus all three expansions and Neverwinter Nights 2 plus all three expansions) for $29.99.
sooo... I failed, again, the consitutional procedure final... I really hate this subject in particular and I have to study it again to try to get it right the next time...
meh, I can't even convey my anger correctly right now... I'm sad
ps: sorry for the attention whoring, I just needed to say it... move along
I agree with Daemaro on the chicken thing. At this point in history, there are enough people who feel strongly about this, that it will have a noticable impact. I think Azriel's stance is somewhat pessimistic. There are a ton of fast food restaurants, so not eating at Chic-fil-a is a very easy way to send the message that you don't support their politics. I think anything more than a quiet boycott actually does more harm than good at this point. As someone who has had to find a niche in a VERY conservtive environment, I can say, the best way to deal with stuff like this is quietly, and respectfully. The people open minded enough to learn acceptance will in time, and those too hateful to change, are beyond your reach anyway. Beset ignored most the time. It's a dying breed, and they are only more noticable now because they are in a panic that the status quo is shifting and they are unusually frenzied and crazy right now. LOL!

Had a good weekend! Watched the movie WIllow for the first time as a grown up. Its actually a very unique, sweet, light fantasy fiction tale. I can't think of anything else quite like it. Also my brother came to visit. We went 4 wheeling in his new Jeep, and he insisted that I try out his Walther 380 auto pistol with laser sights. Something about the whole thign felt less than subtle. I think he thinks I need a gun or something. At any rate, I suck with a handgun, just like when I tried 10 years ago. This time, unlike last time, I had the distinct feeling that at least I do have the capacity to learn. Considering it. LOL!
Also watched Wanderlust. Laughed constantly! Highly recommend that too.
So recently I dropped my laptop. It booted up fine and worked well, or so I thought. I started playing games again and the graphics were all messed up. (Two examples down below.) Basically either stuff is missing that should be there or there is stuff that shouldn't be there. Any idea how to fix this? I can't really play anything with it acting like this. :-(
Did you try dropping it a second time?
Threatening it that you will do some serious shit to it if it doesn't fucking start cooperating?
Bribing it?
Dropping it a third time?
Open it up and start violating it until it submits to your will and works correctly?
Giving it some booze to loosen it up for a "fun" time?
Firing a shotgun into it?
Having a Funeral and burying it?
Buying a new laptop?

Oh come on now Saiynoq, where else are you going to get your gay news from?

Edit: Also, watching youtube on my Virgin Mobile HTC Evo 3D/V4G in 3d is the only way to watch Youtube. <3
Color me less than surprised.
Examples:
You dropped your laptop. >_>
Not much else to say.
I mean if there is a way to fix the graphics.
I mean, it runs perfectly fine aside from the distorting of the images as seen in the pictures I posted. >.<
