Lol, I passed this dialog through Gizoogle and it came out like this, enjoy =)
Jay Wilson: Auction Houses 'Straight-Up Hurt' Game Joystiq just posted a lil' small-ass part of Jay Wilson's GDC rap bout Diablo 3. Right back up in yo muthafuckin ass. Some excerpts can be found below n' you can read the whole article here. Our thugged-out asses is ghon be postin a vizzle if one such is posted. Y'all KNOW dat shit, muthafucka! This type'a shizzle happens all tha time. Da post also mentions dat Diablo has bout 1 mazillion playas a thugged-out day.
But da perved-out muthafucka holla'd dat once tha game went live, Blizzard realized it was straight-up wack bout dem last two points. It turns up dat nearly every last muthafuckin one of tha game's playas (of which there is still bout 1 mazillion per day, n' bout 3 mazillion per month, accordin ta Wilson) made bust of either house, n' dat over 50 cement of playas used it regularly. That, holla'd Wilson, made scrilla a much higher motivator than tha game's original gangsta motivation ta simply bust a cap up in Diablo, n' "damaged item rewards" up in tha game. While a shitload of tha buzz around tha game beat down tha real scrilla Auction House, "gold do much mo' damage than tha other one do," accordin ta Wilson, cuz mo' playas bust it n' prices fluctuate much more.
"I be thinkin we would turn it off if we could," Wilson holla'd durin his cold-ass talk. But tha problem is "not as easy as fuck as that;" wit all of Blizzard's current playas, da perved-out muthafucka says tha company "has no idea" how tha fuck nuff playas like tha system or don't give a fuck bout dat shit.
Perhaps if they played their own damn game they would know the actual problem with the game is just all poor design.
The fact that 99% of your ilvl 63 drops are rolling with stats at an ilvl 10 range and a lvl 10 player wouldnt even be caught dead in the junk is the real problem with the game.
People have to go on the AH to find the good rolls because they range of bad to good on inferno is so extreme that you would have to play for years to get the perfect gear all by yourself. Which i guess was part of the point?
I like how he points out the gold auction house has been more damaging to the game than the rmah. Take that rmah QQers
