As alot of you long-timers here know, I've been a supporter of the Armed Forces, and of those I hold the United States Marines as the best fighting force in the world.
Right now I'm posting this from a laptop at a 4-star hotel (Sheridan?) where they have a whole floor dedicated for the recruits either doing their testing or shipping. I've done my testing a couple days ago, and I'll be shipping tomorrow morning. I'll be joining the Marine Corps.
Despite the differences I've had with the members and even management here, I have alot of friends here. Some of them already know, but I decided I'd post this up here anyways just for shits and giggles. I don't have much time, so I'll probably be reading any replies in a couple months when I've graduated. I'll post a pic of me in my uniform to prove it, and I've decided I'll be as active as possible after all my training.
Stormcat, thanks for your help, support, and words of encouragement. You've been an amazing friend and I'll be looking for you when I come back and send ya a msg.
Thasador, I love you buddy, and the day grows closer where we set up computers in the same room and stay up drinking playing Diablo 3. I'll make an effort to see you when I graduate.
The rest of you friends of mine....Bite me. roflz jk. Too many of you to name individually but your all appreciated. I'll get back to the comments and questions when I get back, till then Thasador and Stormcat can let you guys know a bit about the situation.
Best of luck to you man I myself have a few family friends in the Canadian military doing peace keeping work in Afghanistan and Iraq. Be safe and Be Smart
Wishing you all the best. Good luck and enjoy! Talk to you soon.

Give, expecting nothing thereof. ------------ BoD - Come have some fun! Folks will always come and go, so enjoy them while they're meant to be in your life.
If you end up killing someone over there take his ear as a trophy (if you aren't under heavy fire that is). Good luck, don't let the drill sergeant get under your skin, and stay optimistic.
wow... dude well i hope you dont get injured, may God watch over you.
Be the best you can be and if you are ever feeling like absolute shit, just remember that once you get out of it, everyday the rest of your life will be gravy.
I have to bite my tongue. We woke up this morning at 4:30 and had breakfast, then went down to the MEPS, basically where they do physicals and ASVAB testing and they reinspected a bunch of us to make sure we haven't done any drugs, gotten tattoos, or been hurt at all since last we went there. The I waited forever for everyone else to be processed and checked up, and we got to the airport around 2-3. We waited around, got on the plane around 5:45pm, and I literally just woke up from my power nap around 30-45 min ago. We landed, and hurried to the USO (a little area dedicated to military personnel at airports) and they have computers here! I couldn't resist checking up here and my myspace.
I don't know how long it'll be till we get picked up and taken to MCRD where Boot Camp begins. I'm excited, but I've been getting more and more nervous with every hour that passed since I posted yesterday. But I'm looking forward to it, and I'll be posting when I get out.
I'm joining the Reserves, and I'll be going to school when I graduate. Because of my scores and my background, and my ROTC classes in High School, they say I'll be very qualifiable for an officer position later.
OH SHIT they're saying the drill instructors just arrived. See you guys for real in a couple months!
if ya ever need sumone to tlk ta.. pm me.. or ask me for my cell number you can always text me..

Anyway, hope you survive your deployment to where ever you go. We didn't get along, but I still don't want you dead.
