I'm rendering first 5 minutes of hardcore gameplay right now and basically those first 5 mins are just pathetic? The difference is that mobs hit little harder. That's all. Gonna post a link after I will upload it but my voice will be sucky because I was tired and sick.

the mobs should be the exact same
oh man, im like... "wait.. what really was hardcore" and then i realized that hardcore isn't supposed to be harder, it's just when u die = u die
and they said "never go full retard"
If it makes you feel any better, go kill your toon and see if Halls of the Dead (or whatever it was called) shows up properly.
Petrified Bark has been removed from players' inventory and stash (was useless in the beta anyway). The Blacksmith's tabs have been rearranged. Armor has switched places with Weapons, and Salvage has switched places with Train. Cathedral Level 4 no longer guarantees a chandelier switch in the entrance room.
Haven't read through others posts so no idea if it's already been mentioned, or if for some reason I haven't seen it even though been playing since patch 2 =) But it seems the Black mushrooms can now spawn in the cathedral, just ran across a patch. Instead of just outside Adria's hut =D

I'm actually pretty sure in D2 hardcore mode made the monsters slightly harder as well.

If it makes you feel any better, go kill your toon and see if Halls of the Dead (or whatever it was called) shows up properly.
