The Kingdom of Shadow could fairly easily come back to haunt us. Well obviously Blizzard has come up with a way, because its clearly a city in DIII now.
In Kingdom of Shadow, Kentril and his men were tasked at placing the Key to Light (a crystal) on top of the mountain. By doing so, they anchored the city to this world (I think it had a few days before it was properly anchored though).
However, once Kentril found out about the evil within the city, he and his men went back up to the mountain and through the crystal off the mountain. It shattered in the city below, erupting with a huge burst of light. And then the real sunlight came and covered the city, turning it back to ruin and killing all the damned souls within...
So um, I dunno. Maybe there is another Key to Light? Maybe some damned souls remained?
Or maybe they will just use the novel as a basis for our quest? So like our character plays the role of Kentril? Not necessarily time-traveling, just turning the story into a playable game?

It seems to show Ureh transforming into something sinister...
Boy if that wasn't inspired by Jackson's LOTR Minas Tirith I don't what is.
Still nicely done.
Never got into the books, maybe it's my age or because it's hard to read anything that begins to compare to Tolkien's work. Still kind of cool to see them in a Borders, it reminds you Diablo is still out their somewhere. I'm certain he has possessed our government now, at least I'm waking up in the middle of night these days screaming something about "the east", it would be great to see mythic hero's march on Washington and restore order. LMAO!
The barbarians Whirlwind would be especially righteous in Congress, I really don’t care what side of the isle he starts on.
(Sorry for the double post, lost track of where I was at)

Oh yeah, for sure.
It might be a flashback though of how it used to look. I doubt it though. Looks like your average ruined/abandoned city to me.

Not sure how it will be implemented but having never read the books, it's very interesting to me. I hate to read books but I love to read ABOUT them.
Just thought about something. Does the portal/structure behind this angel seem like it would fit into Ureh somehow at all?

It just seems to me like something that would fit in with the city.
Still nicely done.
