seems well deserved to me. all you are doing is trying to provoke annoyance of people on this board. you arent contributing anything at all.
complaining ( for no underlyin reason, i.e. complaing that 2 games from the same company somewhat resemble each other) about the visuals of Textures and candle holders on a just announced game in very early development gets what done exactly?
please enlighten all of us.
again
this is diabloFANS.com
and a true diablo fan comprehends
gameplay > visuals
(even though for the record the visuals are every bit and more of what ive wanted)
even Blizzard acknowledges this importance. You should have watched the diablo3 panel feed, lets stop the ignorance buddy.
You have absolutly NO RIGHT to determine what a fan is or is not and what they want or do not want in this game. Eveyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Its like talking to a brick wall.
I give up.
I'm glad you've enjoyed taking this website further into the gutter.
You need to grow up kid.
so I'm assuming anyone who bought a 9series+ card just for diablo3 wasted their money... I'm super excited but a lot of the things they announced had me saying: wtf? first off, health globes. they just don't feel arpg to me. Also, 4-5 players online? why are we downgrading here? no plans on bringing back old d2 chars? instead we get genders... woopti fucking doo. and dont get me started on the loot system.
on the other hand, the giant bosses look fucking epic!!! gotta love the screen shakes and the awesome sounds!
wait whats wrong with the new loot system?
i see your concerns about the other aspects you mentioned, and believe the health gloves totaly pissed me off when i realized what they were in the gameplay vid...but the developers panel totally made me like HELL YEAH and realize they were right about the potion system not being as adequate.
4-5 parties...i like that a lot actually. smaller parties = more equally dispersed responsibilities. i just hope theres a seperate room option to meet a bigger potion of players to trade with.
in reguards to the characters.... only little dissapointment i got overall after all was said and done. the chances of a necro comin back are slim ( but still possible).
5 character class so far confirmed, is dissapointing yes but also something stated as not set in stone, and they arent total rehashes of the old games/chars. so im not too worried.
Elhoim you did a good example, but just to quote from the original FAQ: http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/faq/#2_1
What engine is Diablo III running on? What graphical enhancements are included?
Diablo III runs on a custom 3D game engine for rendering full-3D characters and environments. The 3D game engine not only simulates advanced animation sequences and sound effects, but also uses a custom physics engine that allows for realistic object dynamics and cloth simulation.
So, if that is true, it means that they are working on a brand new engine, so we have to wait before everything gets up smooth and darky
I've found this picture on the web, and it says exactly how I think the game should have looked like in my opinion.
no this is a comparision that the other guy should have brought to light. i agree this is what the game should look like....but i also believe this IS what the final game will look like.
Maybe in other areas it will look like that. That screenshot doesn't define the whole game.
Usually the art style stays consistent as the game progresses. All the other 28 pictures share the same style as this one, even though they depict different areas in the game. I wonder how a Hell shot looks like, though.
EDIT: For the record, I believe the current images look amazing. It's just they didn't ring of Diablo for me.

but this diabloownage fellow is disreguarding all of this new info on a game Ive been evidently anticipating for longer than 2 years (when he cant prove it)... and personally anticipating it for about 7 straight years.
to only focus on something so trivial as visuals given its state of early development is the sign of a jackass troll.
I think some people here are being too conservative and overreacting. If you seriously didn't expect major changes from Diablo 2 to Diablo 3 then i don't know what you expected. A simple "expansion" to Diablo 2?
I atleast think Blizzard has done a great job from what i have seen, the hack'n'slash style really seems to have been done awesome.
Elhoim; It's too early to say how the "game should look like" when we have seen so little of it, hopefully there will be some of those gray and dusty dungeons aswell as the more colored ones. My major concern about a D3 release was that Blizzard wouldn't be able to keep that special, magical feeling that D2 had, but from the gameplay trailer we have seen i really think they have managed to keep that feeling - perhaps even improve it.
Don't forget that D2 looks as it looks only because of the technical limitations at it's time of creation.
I fully agree that the gameplay video showed that not only kept, but improved the feeling of Diablo 1-2 combat.
Thought I disagree that D2 looks were a consequence of technical limitations. What I'm looking at is at the color palette used, which in D2 was of a darker tone, while in D3 is of a brighter one. Perhaps these screenshots are showing the world before the darkeness comes.

Don't do that to him...
