There are many races. It's just most of them aren't at all humanoid. there are humans, saber cats, and fallen varieties, to name aa few. but they're all demonic perversions or just demons, period. (zealots are corrupted humans aren't they? Kinda like Griswold?)
having elfs would make diablo more like LOTR or Warcraft rather than... well... Diablo... Humans stuck between the forces of good and evil... eternal damnnation, hellfire, brimstone, sin, archangels, heaven/hell, the use of the number 7 , fallen angels... sounds kinda like the bible
Sence almost every monster in the game is corrupt, demon, or undead. It make we wonder why do the humanoid type monster(act2 throwing guy/brute) attack us, because if the evil do win than I'll would think it would be a bad thing for them too.

yea humans do suck.... were definitly going to need some crazy demonic type races as well as some kind of ghostly, spiritual, heavenly types as well. if it is infact going to be somekind of conflict between heaven and hell like we've been hearing

Humans used to trade with the Saber Cats, but since the coming of the three, the Saber cats have become wild and unruly.

-Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's First Law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth.
id still prefer diablo have human only classes, its pretty unique in the realms of RPG to be only human. i know there are others but how many have a whole bunch of races, that are for lack of a better word tolkienesque?

It's still unique though with Diablo. Cause where other RPG's have not only humans, but elves which rival humans, any other species in Diablo are more like a sub-species, not nearly as evolved as humans.
i would just like to see something other than humans, i have no objections to there being humans in there for everyone who wants to play them, but i'd like to try something new

I can understand that. But I definitely would be wary of them suddenly contriving a new sentient race to play for the sake of trying to make things different. I personally think the difference in classes is distinct enough that it's just as good as playing as a separate race.
i agree with saynoq in that the difference in the character classes is like being a seperate race. But it would be interesting to see,if blizzard does indeed create a race other then humans, what that race/s would look like and what skill sets they obtain.

Well since it is heaven v. hell then wouldnt there be like angels, pallys, priests, and other holy chars that are against evil. And then there is the hell chars.Which could include anti-pallys, necros(which i guess are the same as anti-pallys in a way), fallen angels, rogue warriors, thieves, etc. But i dont really know iam just throwin some ideas out for dicussion.

I'd like to see a character similar to Uldyssian, where the use of magic and strength is the main method of protection and attack. But instead of shooting stuff, he can melee with his hands. The magical energies are used around the hands to kill. I'm not sure what it is exactly that I want other than this, but something to this effect.

Well...
Necros aren't evil. They are actually the only one of the mage clans that has never been corrupted. (Maybe druids too, not sure)
Have you played Diablo? When did it seem like, in any way, the Rogues were on the team of Hell?
I personally would want to play as a human, like always.

That really wasn't necessary at all. Why would you feel the need to attack someone because he doesn't know the story behind diablo(even if it is a simple reference to evil that could be easily confused) He said in the last sentence "But i dont really know iam just throwin some ideas out for dicussion."

uhh Sofawall I think he was trying to say warriors that have turn rouge instead of saying rouges themselves. I think you is right about the nerco thing tho because I read somewhere that they was actually neutral and they don't really care about sideing with the angels or demons they just want to keep the world balance or something like that.
and Jbyro I don't think that sofawall was actually trying to attack any one he was just showing his view of what he said. So I don't really see why anybody would take offence from it.

Uldyssian is from the Diablo novels right?
