yeah, that's quite possible. also some of the lore changes (Garrosh becoming the new Warchief, trolls and gnomes getting back their homes etc). but nothing too fancy.
most important thing for me will be the new talents. shame they're reducing the talent points we're gonna have (like 45 till level 85). will make it somewhat boring to level up unless they keep adding new spells every level (that doesnt sound too bad).
Garrosh may very well be the new Warchief prior to Cataclysm, but I don't think there is a chance in hell that the Trolls/Gnomes will get the Echo Isles and Gnomergan back, respectively, before Cataclysm is released.
Also, I agree. The new talent system sucks. I just found out about it. A talent point every other level, that's only 41 talent points, that's bullshit.
I am also torn about the idea that you cannot grab X talent out of X tree and then continue on Y tree to the end, that you have to go all the way through Y tree before you can grab X talent from X tree. Though, I do like how the masteries are set up.
i really like how the masteries work, even though it will make it impossible for me to do the crazy builds i usually did. those passives you get are simply awesome and the majority of the talents you invest points in are useful, finally! i think its confirmed that you get to reclaim Echo Isles and Gnomeregan before Cataclysm, or at least get the dungeons and do all the pre-quests for them. i'm adding a game card this week to start working on those, gonna be a feat of strength too
You already can do the Echo Isles and Gnomergan reclaimation quests. o.O
It just doesn't seem, to me personally, likely that they will be kicked out of Orgrimmar so soon after Garrosh is made Warchief.
Also, you have to be level 5 or higher to do the quests except the very, very last quest, which you have to be level 75 or higher. All in all, it's pretty bad ass.
lore wise, Vol'jin already told Garrosh that he'll be the one to kill him and i don't see him staying Warchief for too long. The Horde is a mess with Thrall gone and the Alliance seems much more united and coordinated. I heared that the quests were released but my account was frozen at the time (still is) so i didnt have the time to do them. And i'm a gnome i should play a part in the operation Gnomeregan
Vol'jin already told Garrosh off? Damn, I didn't see it. What is the quest line to see it?
I don't know though if Garrosh is going to be a short one or not. Thrall seems to think that it's going to irreversibly change The Horde, and knowing Thrall, he's usually right... :/
It's already confirmed that The Shattering (old world changes) will take place before Cataclysm release. First we'll get 4.0.1 which includes talent changes and some other changes. Also the pre-cataclysm events will start. I image 4.0.2 will continue down that road and then in 4.0.3 shit goes down.
wondering if we'll get Archaeology pre-cataclysm too (at least till 450). we did get Inscription before Wrath of the Lich King, right? or i confuse things again?

Yes, inscription was introduced in one of the pre-patches for Wotlk. I dunno about archaeology though, it's not mentioned in the under-dev page or in 4.0.1 PTR patch notes, but rather in the feature page of cataclysm so maybe it'll not be in game before the actual release.
I wonder if it'll be available to all players or only those who purchased cataclysm. With jewelcrafting you need TBC to train it, but inscription everyone can learn. Ah well, guess it doesn't really matter that much since 99% will have Cata anyway .

then you get another one with Vol'jin and Garrosh argueing but i cant find it synched yet. still looking, tho!
Man, I gotta roll another troll. The Troll starting zone is gonna be awesome. I just hope they can make the Capital awesome too...
And where is the Goblin Capital going to be??
I can't help but wonder, will we get an Undermine instance like we had for Gnomergan.
finally found that Vol'jin vs Garrosh trash talk
awesome! forum's acting weird for me, though. too slow and laggy!

and it freezes again... December 7th!
Any idea when 4.0.1 will be released?
Well that sucks. I'd love to see that first hand. Ol' Vol'jin verbally kicking Garrosh's ass. <3
