Yea, except Goblins are Horde, so they are automatically awesome.
But seriously, what drives me batshit is that gnomes (and yes, most likely goblins as well) jump really high in comparison to their body height, but taurens jump really low in comparison to their body height. I know they are jumping the same height, but if you look at how tall each one is, you would -think- that Tauren would jump higher. Grr.
what's annoying when you play a gnome is that at points where all other races (except goblins most likely) run in the water... you swim and can't start fishing at schools of fish or wreckages...
Equinox, "exraordinary abilities" should only be the racials that vary for each race. classes can be learned. The lore explanations on gnome racials are pretty solid (and the racials themselves the best for everything).
Alright, I got a question. I was watching a Deadmines Heroic video, and the guy summons five fire magi to fight with him. Is there a spell in Cataclysm Beta for this, or is it a talent, or is it already in the game, and what is the spell??
talking about a player? if its a mage then its mirror image. fire mages get fire casting copies. same with the other specs. you usually get 3 copies that can become 4 if you use a glyph. Or you mean something else and my post was completely irrelevant
Mirror Image? Hmm. Sounds like it. Though, the guy in the video was a troll and the images were forsaken. Granted, it was Cata Beta so it could of been fubar'ed.

no, mirror image creates copies of the caster, not random races. if you could send me a link i might understand what exactly it is. my main's a mage after all i'm all familiar with the powers of the arcane (i'm a total nerd aint i?)

Alright, it's a video though, twenty minutes in length, if I am not mistaken. However, the guy casts it at about the four minute mark.
i think the mirror images werent from the guy we see playing but the undead (i think its a mage). took me some time to figure out which classes are there and the roles
seems there are 2 mages (undead and troll) a lock (the orc) a death knight and a paladin.
It would be OP, but it would also be logical. This one foot tall gnome being stepped on by this 12 foot tall tauren. I know why they don't, but if you think about it...
to make it balanced you'd need to follow D&D rules more closely. the opponent should have a higher chance to miss you. but it's not really about realism. imagine such a racial (since you're very small). enemy has 50% chance to miss you. you hit without as much damage in melee but with some rogue talents you're literally impossible to hit. not my idea of fun. stomp from the Tauren makes sense but it can't be too OP cause it would break the game.
I didn't say that I wanted true physics in the game, or that I think it would help the game, that would be crazy. I just find it interesting that when a tauren and a gnome are fighting, a tauren's warstomp or thunderclap doesn't squash the gnome.
i played a gnome since forever... should have seen me shrunk from noggenfogger elixir and a tauren next to me enlarged from winterfall firewater... was funny how i was as big as his hoof!
still i dont think appearances (size etc) effect the game. it would be much more complicated and would end up boring to learn.
Hahaha, you should of screenshotted it, I would of loved to of seen that.
I do think it's funny though, now we have our own version of the gnome. I can see it now, 99% of battle fields will be fought between Gnomes and Goblins.
no i dont think the world will change pre-Cataclysm. we'll get the new talents, though and the changed mechanics. expect it to be about the same as before the WotLK launch. i'm still excited about it.
Personally, I think that we are going to have some changes, though nothing major like the splitting of the Barrens. Maybe the beginning of the reconstruction of Orgrimmar/Stormwind, like when they start to put scaffolding up, but not when they have rearranged the buildings.

I was really excited, another summon spell. Lol.

Man, I really am a geek...
Now, will Azerothian Flying be available with patch 4.0.1 or will it be available when Cata is released?
