What is normal? Normal is a concept that everyone or a majority of people are the same or similar. However, we know that everyone is unique. If everyone is unique, then everyone is different. If everyone is different, then everyone is weird. If everyone is weird, then everyone is normal.
That's stupid, our kings are not elected, they're chosen and they rule with divine right.
Anyway......
I'm voting Ralph Nader. Go Nader! He got on my state's ballot again this time so I'm gonna show my support for him as he likely runs one last time. I'm also voting for diversity in politics, as I usually do so smugly.
It seems sad and helpless, but the difference between both candidates are minimal. The nominees are put in that position for a reason, and that reason is to keep things going the way they are and to not bring change to the white house. It doesn't matter who wins, the president will be yet another pawn in the chess board of the super-powerful bankers and those born into the true wealth of the USA. These select few people hold the entire country by the balls in their monetary slavery scheme that devours most of the first world. To free our world of this oppression and slavery, we must realize and denounce the situation that we are in right now. We, as a society, must be the change we want to see.

Violent action reaps richer rewards than Passive action, politics and voting are a waste if the root of your desire is change. Killing shows a society it's own mask which is something we do not want to see, with passive change you end up making compromises, and though you may tell yourself "Only this once" There is another, and another, and another, you keep your face anonymous thus nothing changes in reality things use new words but function similarly. Violence sets precedence and does not negotiate, things are never the same.

Where exactly from your anal cavity are you pulling this bizarre social commentary from?
Politics and voting are instruments of change. I don't even understand your point about killing in comparison to politics and voting.
You say violence sets precedence. Um okay. It only sets a new precedent when it manages to outdo past violence. Just as this upcoming election has the potential for an amazing precedent. But according to you that's irrelevant because voting and politics are not capable of delivering change? Huh?
www.myspace.com/mpotatoes for all your Trans Siberian Orchestra listening pleasure
If you want to arrange it
This world you can change it
If we could somehow make this
Christmas thing last
By helping a neighbor
Or even a stranger
And to know who needs help
You need only just ask
Jumping on the bandwagon for voting is absolutely pointless...The pressure to conform is so great that simply voting becomes this amazing thing when if you actually look at it voting is not only pointless it shows that you are gullible enough to think you can make a difference, our voting system is a complete joke. Its the same story every time, voter fraud is so prevalent that even if you did waste your time voting it wouldn't mean anything anyway. The government is no longer a system of the people as it once was. All there needs is a centralized bank and it becomes communism, so the ideals of almost every voter are practically non existent.

OOOHHH i see....You assume that because i know what the fuck im talking about that i saw it in a movie. I JUST now googled it and saw them bring up the point of a centralized government. I didnt see the stupid movie, so next time before you make an assumption you should try and know what your talking about.

Are you sure? Cuz i googled Zeitgeist and it talked about what i mentioned...And you posted between me and ranim who was responding to someone else so that would mean that you were either responding to me or him since you didn't quote in reply to anyone. To clarify who your talking to you should work on that.

Are you just trying to be deep? Or are you intentionally trying to outwit me by saying things that vaguely make sense, but not really?
And folks, talk about the election, or voting, or the candidates. But if this turns into another stupid ass Zeitgeist thread, then the thread is going to close.
Take all your conspiracy theory bullshit someplace else.
It would be nice just once to have a conversation about politics without a bunch of stoned teenagers telling me about how the government is lying to me.

I feel your perception on the matter is a bit biased and harsh, the anti government attitude stems from more than simple conspiracy theories, and some of the zeitgeist ideas are valid. This thread isn't about who to vote for, its about voting in general, and the opposite would be not to vote and there are ideas and philosophy on why not to partake in democratic (rofl not really democratic..) elections of officials that don't actually accurately represent the people it claims to rep. If you were to close this thread based on something like that it would most definitely be an abuse of power.

The Civil War changed the way this country ran. The assassination of Lincoln changed this country's mindset. The assassination of JFK again changed this country's mindset. The World Trade Center screwed up the way this country ran.
I think what he means though is that if we talk things out then we may never get anything done, but if I hold a gun to your head and yell at you to do such and such then something gets done. While not the best way to get things done, it is surely faster then talking you into it.
Either way, I agree with a majority of the people that this election means nothing. Every single person running is crazy. Jessy Ventura wants to turn the three branches into one. Ron Paul wants to increase Government. McCain/Obama want more of the same, with ever so slight differences. (And McCain just fucking scares the shit out of me. McCain wants to stay in Iraq "Untill we are done, even if it takes 100 years." That scares the shit out of me. And then he wants to tax healthcare. Yea. McCain scares the shit out of me.)
Either way, either Palin (who looks like a pornstar...) or Obama or even both will be shot. This country is a bunch of racist, sexist people and they are not ready for a female or black president. One or the other will die, and hell, they may not even make it to election day...

I'd rather him speak for himself. But if that's what he really means, that's pretty fucking stupid. Especially since you go on to say in this post that it scares you how McCain wants to stay in Iraq even if it takes us another 100 years to get the job done. And what the hell are we doing over there? Many things. But one of the biggest things we are doing is USING FORCE. And what's that you say? Holding a gun to someone's head is a faster way to get things done rather than talking? Good idea. I'm gonna go to Washington and hold a gun to Congress's head and demand they get things done. That's a sure cure for the blues right there.
So everyone, on election day, take it from Link or that Ranim guy. Don't vote. Instead, resort to violence and things will get done. Do you not like my sweeping generilzations about politics and war? Sorry. You sort of backed me into a corner and made me use loads of defensive minimalism.
